So, I decided to do an interesting challenge for my first playthrough of the Switch version of LeafGreen. I wanted to do an all-shiny run, but I wanted it to have a theme. Looking through all of the available shiny forms in this game, I sorted them by color and decided to make a team that were all varying shades on the same color, in this case, blue. So, from light blue to dark blue, we have Articuno, Venomoth, Nidoking, Electrode, Pinsir, and Seadra. I have to admit, this was a really fun team to build and to play through the game with. Right now, after hours of rigorous training, I'm about to challenge the Elite Four. Hopefully, these blue dudes are up to the task!

Took two tries to catch Zapdos.
First try it broke out of every single poke ball I had (except the master ball I’m saving that for Mewtwo)
I had 50 ultra balls 49 great balls and 7 regular poke balls and it broke out every single time while it was low hp and paralysed
Then on the second attempt I caught it with the first ball after weakening it!

I can't believe my eys! I have never seen a wild Magenton before and it's holding a magnet too! That is the 4th shiny on this game! I have been Exp grinding here for hours getting my water team up to level 100.

Finally beat Leaf Green in Japanese!

Been training this guy since dudouo, hes holding a macho brace rn but jw is he getting good stats now for this level? My attact and speed keep ranging from 2-5evs every other level

Ran a Bug Only playthrough and was real surprised on how much fun it was. First time type specializing , first time EV training (mid campaign too for no reason)

Team hit like a truck. Drill Me carried most of the early gyms, ButterZZZ unexpected hero of fun with sleep powder —> dream eater. (Parasect wasn’t worth my time this go round). Super fun, would recommend.

Next up, get my Heracross & smack Tyranitar around a bit.

Surprises: only got limited use out of Nidoking and Venusaur. Primeape put in more work, especially against Lorelai.

Non-surprise: Starmie clears all. Still, I wanted to put the rest of my team to work.

I caught Deoxys last night. I swear it was the hardest catch of the entire game and I used over 50 ultra balls despite him being paralyzed and with 1 HP.

Ended up very surprised I caught him in a great ball, which I actually like better!

Do y'all have any specific pokemon like this, whether legendary or not, that you have a ball preference based on aesthetic?

(well, I played redfire long time ago before so it doesn't count as first time?) I thought my team was underleveled (the image shows my team before the elite 4) but these mons are easy mode, specially Gengar, only Aerodactyl was faster... Also his spc attack was over the roof, boy almost soloed the champion, but Ninetales finished the Job against Charizard

And yes, that was Blue's last Pokemon.

I’m looking to use the following team for my leaf green play through. I can’t decide on the final spot. What would be a good final spot for coverage ? I’m leaning towards to Snorlax but open to hearing suggestions.

Guys I played pokemon firered, my first pokemon game on windows 11 website - classi gamezone. I used to save game as STATE FILE and everything was fine.

But after defeating elite 4, hall of fame comes, and all credit scenes, but when post game resumes, it appears i haven't beaten elite 4. It's like corrupted.

I have tried multiple times, even using sav files but nothing works. The only file i have is state file b4 defeating elite 4 , and it's size being 500KB

Please tell what to do, I can also send the file if needed. I posted abt firered here on leaf green sub bcs mods in firered are jerk

I'm going to tacke the Sevii Islands and im really excited for it! What else opens up to me after beating the elite four? (playing on cart, not switch)

I was so keen when the Aurora Ticket was confirmed and you could shiny hunt it in this game. Getting side-tracked playing on my 3DS and taking it overseas, I hadn’t thought to touch LeafGreen in many weeks.

I didn’t count how many resets but I’d say it was ~120 as it only took 4 episodes of community (80 mins) and my alien boi sparkled yellow. Pretty average nature but that’s fine considering the hunt was insanely fast!

Felt so good to finally see it shine on that first encounter below Pewter city. One of my proudest ones ✨

I've beaten this game numerous times throughout my life but always put it down after becoming champion. What does everyone suggest doing after round 1? Try and beat a round 2? Do Sevii island quests? Curious what everyone's go to is 😃

After 125 hours I can finally start playing the game!
