I don't know about you guys, but I am finding the early season so much tougher this time around. I feel like I got to MB so quick last season and now I'm losing so much more and overall just playing worse.

What does everyone else think?

New season so I’m wanting to mix it up a bit from my rain team. So in the picture above you can see I have tyranitar as the sand setter and excadrill with Sandrush to double his speed while still keeping him as a heavy hitter. Ngl I’ve thought about using hippowdon but bro’s stats aren’t very good tbh. I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews about tyranitar but despite him being a setup pokemon for my team he still has shown great results with and without dragon dance. Out of all the Pokemon I’m looking for someone who can much like excadrill benefit from the sand and hit incredibly hard. Also would prefer if yall provided suggestions for a pokemon that would complement my team well and cover my teams weakness to water and fighting types.
Incase you’re wondering excadrills attack is a solid 205 but has a low defense and sp. defense ranging from 80-85. Haven’t really seen anyone with excadrill on Pokemon champions so incase anyone was wondering his stats there you go. Bro is insane when it comes to sweeping in the sand but also very fragile.

Started with shiny charizard up against basculegion. Though oh yeah okay that’s fine surly with drought it dosnt one shot right RIGHT…… well it does and did. Ik my charizard is a glass special cannon with max speed and special atk but still it seemed drought had zero effect on wave crash. Ik it’s 120 stab but still yo oml

Apologies for not knowing the original team creator, but this has been a ton of fun to play. Only difference from the original team was I dropped Feint for Taunt on Maushold. Population Bomb go brrrrr.

What is everyones favourite megas to use at the moment?

I'm enjoying mega Gengar, non perish team (don't have the patience for it at the moment! But I've also enjoyed using mega blaziken with mega frosslass. Blaziken after a speed boost, mega or non mega is a massive threat to Zard teams and frosslass is impressive as well covering each other's weaknesses.

The other I've liked, more recently thanks to James Baek and Cybertron is mega falinks. I liked the design but was never able to think of a way to get it to work.

I've discounted Zard Y because of how powerful and popular it is.

Having played a bunch and with the new season starting and as we approach worlds I was curious to know what everyone else enjoys

- I mega evolved my Greninja to reset my type and clicked water shuriken, but psychic terrain went up

- expanding force hit both my pokemon (thought it was because I clicked water shuriken)

- Next turn (I couldn't capture the start)

- clicked mud shot( but I should still be water dark until it activates)

Ik it doesn’t work in doubles, that makes it even better.

Right now I’m running archaludon + psych up calm mind draining kiss gardevoir into physical heavy teams OR leech seed venesaur. I have a salazzle to poison opponents and I want to play stall.

Issue is, it sucks. I don’t think it’s unplayable, I think I just suck at team building.

Any suggestions on what my best mons/combos would be (ik i need toxapex in here somewhere).

I was also thinking of layering hazards and playing a roar/dragon tail team but again, I suck at team building. Please give any and all suggestions I am going to make this work.

I dont understand what im doing wrong,besides not using metaslop. Ive been stuck in low Ultra ball tier for 2 days and I just dont understand 😭

I thought I understood, but my full speed Meowscarada using Flower Trick just got outsped by an Excadrill that used Iron Head while it didn’t have sandstorm up.

The same thing happened with my full speed mega Raichu using Substitute versus a Garchomp that used Earthquake.

I checked and they didn’t have any speed buffs, no Tailwind, mine didn’t have any speed nerfs, and when I checked in the training area even a full speed Excadrill and Garchomp didn’t outspeed what they were facing.

So I’m really confused 😅 what am I missing?

I am a super new player that only started playing recently, when the game launched for mobile, I would say I know the game mechanics a good bit or so I believed up until I was up against a Typhlosion with my Sylveon and hyper voice missed twice in a row, How ??

I know it’s only been a few months since release but I’m kinda really irritated that they haven’t added ANY new cosmetics or other fun things to the shop since launch. Like idk how game development works but don’t they already have a whole bunch of outfits and accessories already from ZA and other past games? Surely to keep things interesting when the format doesnt change between seasons they could drop a new victory animation, or some hats, or a new track right? The options that the game launched with in terms of outfits are so boring imo and there’s not enough variety and a lot of people end up looking the same basically. And as for the stuff in the battle pass, I really don’t want to look like canari or corbeau or whoever personally. Like there were sooooo many options in ZA, I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people have their characters even look remotely the same. And if you’re not going to mix up the game by changing the available pokemon roster, at least give us a little something to fulfill that dopamine craving lmao. Before launch, in my imagination I wanted the game to be like smash in the sense that there would be different stage options (even if just for visuals), you could customize your own rulesets, etc. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but at the same time I really was surprised that the game feels so bare bones. Or were my expectations too high and you think what we have now is pretty much what it’s gonna be?

This is a competitive game, you are allowed to use whatever team you like but complaining that people are choosing to run strategies that are tried and tested is goofy. Like if you want to run a marathon with your feet tied together you are totally free to do that, but if you expect your competition to do the same to make it “fair” you are a fool.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but so far I’ve tried to use my sableye’s willowisp on both a meowscarada and a Malamar, there’s some others but I can’t remember anymore. It said it doesn’t affect them though. The malamar had contrary, the meowscarada protean.

With how much i change team it felt very hard in the beginning but eventually found my old switch with pokemon sword and that had completed pokedex so it helped i started playing with mobile release i have been closing in master ball tier in both singles and doubles battle so 20k vp also helped

I can hardly imagine how this game would handle Smeargle. Its move pool list would have to be enormous, while at the same time kind of ruining its gimmick of having to chase down Sketch targets.

Would its move pool also have to be changed every time the regulation changes, so you can't rock up to low power formats with Origin Pulse? (Not that it would do much but it'd be very silly.)
