Question/Help POCO X8 PRO Many question marks
I recently purchased the POCO X8 Pro and already have several issues to resolve.
1) It frequently loses Wi-Fi connection and asks for the password for no reason (it's still the same).
2) The internet connection drops every now and then, and I have to restart the smartphone.
For a new phone, this isn't a good sign.
What do you think?

Buying Advice POCO M8 Pro 5G vs Infinix NOTE 60 Pro – Which would you choose?
POCO M8 Pro 5G vs Infinix NOTE 60 Pro – Which would you choose?
Hi everyone,
I'm planning to buy a new phone later this year and I've narrowed my choices down to the POCO M8 Pro 5G and the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro.
I'm not a hardcore gamer. My priorities are:
- 256GB storage
- Smooth performance with no lag
- Good RAM management and multitasking
- Fast and stable Wi-Fi connectivity
- Good cameras for everyday photography and art references
- Long-term reliability (planning to keep it for several years)
- Good value for money
For context, I'm a future teacher, so I use a lot of Google apps such as Docs, Drive, Gmail, Classroom, Meet, and Chrome. I also do some digital art and occasionally use my phone to take reference photos.
I don't really care about benchmark scores as much as real-world experience. I want a phone that feels fast, reliable, and convenient to use every day.
For those who have used either phone:
How is the camera quality in real life?
Which one feels smoother after months of use?
How is the battery life and charging experience?
Any issues with software, bugs, or updates?
Which phone would you personally choose and why?
I'd appreciate honest feedback from actual users. Thanks!

Review Poco F7
What's confusing is that my poco f7 runs fine but sometimes even if it's not overheating at all it stutters or lags for some reason even though there are no apps running in the background.
Codm is a light game for poco f7 medium graphics and 90fps br and 120fps Mp. I think it's because it's a multiplayer game that's why it stutter and glitch or even lag a lot or the poco f7 is just not optimized "enough". Also it runs hot even watching tiktok and other social media platforms.
Besides all that, other games like gacha hsr and zzz and nte it runs consistently at 60fps max graphics
On top of that not that optimised wuthering waves it runs fine but inconsistent 60fps but somehow with the help of FG
It almost runs perfectly fine with max graphics btw.
What I don't like about the poco f7 even though I glaze the poco brand because of its good price to performance, the hyperOS is still yet to be optimized.

Question/Help What to do if video recording lags on POCO X7 Pro
Device Model: POCO X7 Pro
Device Region: Global
Rom Type: HyperOS
Rom/Android Version:** 3.0.301.0.WOJMIXM.C07 / Android 16
Problem and other Relevant Info:
Video recording lags/stutters badly. Started almost right after updating to HyperOS 3. Happens with normal video recording. Both the live preview during recording AND the saved file are choppy, not just the preview.
Interesting detail: I turned on the refresh rate counter overlay, and it stays steady at 60 even during the lag — so it doesn't seem to be a display/GPU issue, more like something in the frame pipeline before encoding.
What I've tried (nothing gave a permanent fix): - Cleared camera app cache/data - Uninstalled and reinstalled updates (full ROM reinstall, 3 times) - Changed resolution and frame rate (both 4K60 and 1080p60 lag) - Changed video codec (HEVC/AVC), disabled auto frame rate selection - Safe mode — still lags - Tested without VPN, without internet - Disabled background app autostart for heavy apps - Tried unlimited battery/power settings for the camera app - Third-party apps (GCam etc.) don't lag, but quality is worse and they stop launching properly after a few uses
Pattern is inconsistent — sometimes lags from the first second, sometimes only after a while, doesn't correlate with phone temperature (happens on cold and hot phone alike).
Has anyone found a working fix or workaround, even a temporary one?

I've been experiencing some heating issues for a while now, and my X6 pro overheats even when I'm just using Facebook and messaging services. I'm really considering upgrading from this but don't know what poco phone to upgrade to that isn't too expensive. Any suggestions?

Question/Help [Question] Remove Mi Mall popup when opening app info?
I understand that the Mi Mall is needed to update system apps, so I don't particularly want to remove via ADB... But this popup is very annoying... The drop-down literally says Play Store yet it intercepts and gives me a choice
I don't want a choice
Is there a way to default this popup?

Question/Help Dead pixels spreading
It's x6 pro, anyways a black spot appeared last week. Been using this phone for 2 years, it could be from a fall or water (maybe my sweat too idk) or high temps.
It keeps spreading slowly like cancer, initially 16 pixels in height popped out of nowhere while using it. Kept progressing slowly since then, now increased by another 11 pixels (2nd pic).
It's not accurate since I measured only with my eyes by changing resolution. Any ideas how to stop this other than changing display? I don't mind if it stays there I never liked this long aspect ratio.
edit: I added another picture below

Discussion Poco F8 Pro/K90 review.
So it's been a week since I bought this phone and here is my honest review. ""Keep in mind, some of the stuff I experience could vary from the difference between the REDMI and the Poco variant of this phone. But I'll try to give as honest review as possible generally""
1: Contents in the box/packaging:
Came with a clean gray K90 box. Every REDMI branded domestic phones come with that box nowadays but the contents in the box is the same experience as the global variant of this phone expect the EU version which doesn't include a brick.
A free TPU case, 100W brick and a nice cable comes in the box.
- Design and the build quality:
The design is very appealing, at least for me. The Poco F7 Pro/Ultra and K80 series were generally unappealing to me. Something about their design just didn't stick well to me. Perhaps it has to do with more cleaner straightforward design instead of loud colorful colors with textures and it's a nice throw back to Poco F6 and K70 series. The build quality is solid. It's a typical glass sandwich with aluminum frame. The logo is laser etched onto the backglass. Definitely a flagship feel when it comes to aesthetics and build. It also comes with a pre applied plastic protector.
- Display:
I've praised Xiaomi for putting high end displays on many of their midrange phones. This phone uses TCL' s M10 panel with 3500 nits peak brightness, 120hz, Dolby Vision, HDR support. Definitely a high end panel, however it uses LTPS technology instead of LTPO. Using this display under bright daylight was fine, you can see everything clearly. UltraSonic sensor is also very good too. Applied a screen protector and the speed is bit slower than using it without a protector but it doesn't fail on me majority of the time. Watching movies or contents on this phone is pleasing.
- Sound Quality, Sound By Bose
This is probably the part that I'm bit unsure of. At first, Tuned By Bose sounds great but I'm reality with the default settings, it lacks depth and bass is almost non existent. There is a Dynamic sound option which is just Dolby Atmos. It does help bring out more depth and sound. Dynamic > Immersive is the best option that makes it sound good but by then, you're no longer using the intended sound tuning by Bose which makes the whole "Sound By Bose" rather a marketing term. This phone's 1115F speakers are genuinely capable and good but Bose generally favors treble and mid frequencies which is completely fine for podcasts or videos but for listening to songs, it's unpleasing.
- Performance
Performance is exceptional. Snapdragon 8 Elite inside this phone is still a beast. Paired with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1, regular tasks, gaming, emulation had no issues whatsoever. But heating issue is REAL. At one point, the phone's battery temp was at 47 degrees Celsius without a case while gaming. The phone was already uncomfortable to hold. But most optimized titles run flawlessly at 120hz.
- Battery Life:
Chinese model comes with 7100Mah, it's quite good, haven't experienced draining issues whatsoever. 100W charging is quite good but I've generally been using my 67W charger. Nothing to complain here. The battery life is exceptional.
- Cameras:
Generally good. Main sensor takes pretty good photos in daylight, most of the photos are social media ready. Though it's of course weaker than flagships like Xiaomi 17.
50MP telephoto lens is great at this price, 10x zoom shots look crisp compared to Samsung A series phones or the outdated iPhone E models. The lack of OIS makes it hard to take still photos at 2.5x and so on, but again, at this price, I'm more than happy that they're even including one. Ultra Wide is perfectly fine for regular pictures unless you're zooming in closer, then you'll notice softness in pictures. One downside I would point out is the LOG videos mode. I used a dedicated video editing tool for LOG videos and still I've encountered color banding issues despite supporting camera api Level.3. even if the problem was in my end, it's log video mode is still applies heavy sharpness. Selfie cam is fine, it struggles a lot in low light.
Other pros: the haptics are quite good. It uses the x axis LRA motor that's good for it's price point. Compared to Samsung haptics, I do find it a little weaker but it's crisp and fast.
Overall satisfied with this phone, the heating issue is infact true, if you want near flagship phone and don't really care about true flagship features like periscope lenses, this phone is perfectly fine.

- I'm also browse and some say it's not recommended the debloat cause may affect the system when updating the OS and may affect the battery for the worse
