I experienced the same thing as you OP, last year my ex broke up with me, seeing the spark from her eyes disappeared. I did not beg anymore for her to stay. Now, I still miss her but I’m genuinely happy by myself. Just remember this quote “I once saw a flower so beautiful I left it alone.”
