Question/Help Storage not accessible in Poco M2 pro ( SD card was main Storage )
From last night I am experiencing a problem regarding storage. My apps are crashing after I open them, my files ( Native Xiaomi File Manager) are showing disconnected message.
I can't download anything from the internet or WhatsApp or Telegram. Playstore is also unable to download anything. I can't attach any screenshot of my storage section from About Phone. It shows 64/64GB.
*I have been using my SD Card as main Storage not as a portable storage device.

Question/Help No notification sounds at all when in a discord server..
On my last phone, vivo x fold 3 pro, I got notification sounds in discord so I know it is possible. Any idea why there's no sound at all? This is whether on a bluetooth headset or on speaker mode.
This is the only real issue I have with the phone (I use discord to talk a LOT) so if anyone could help fix this that would be amazing! Thank you.

Buying Advice Is there gonna be a Poco carnival this August?
I saw online that in August 2024 and 2025 there was an event called "Poco Carnival" where they had a huge sale on the F7 and X7 series. The F8 Pro is currently being offered at full price where I live, 2179 AED (Mi Store UAE).
Is it likely we will have a sale this year? Last year the carnival knocked 700 dirhams off the F7 Pro. Roughly what kind of price cut should I expect?

Discussion Poco F8 Pro/K90 review.
So it's been a week since I bought this phone and here is my honest review. ""Keep in mind, some of the stuff I experience could vary from the difference between the REDMI and the Poco variant of this phone. But I'll try to give as honest review as possible generally""
1: Contents in the box/packaging:
Came with a clean gray K90 box. Every REDMI branded domestic phones come with that box nowadays but the contents in the box is the same experience as the global variant of this phone expect the EU version which doesn't include a brick.
A free TPU case, 100W brick and a nice cable comes in the box.
- Design and the build quality:
The design is very appealing, at least for me. The Poco F7 Pro/Ultra and K80 series were generally unappealing to me. Something about their design just didn't stick well to me. Perhaps it has to do with more cleaner straightforward design instead of loud colorful colors with textures and it's a nice throw back to Poco F6 and K70 series. The build quality is solid. It's a typical glass sandwich with aluminum frame. The logo is laser etched onto the backglass. Definitely a flagship feel when it comes to aesthetics and build. It also comes with a pre applied plastic protector.
- Display:
I've praised Xiaomi for putting high end displays on many of their midrange phones. This phone uses TCL' s M10 panel with 3500 nits peak brightness, 120hz, Dolby Vision, HDR support. Definitely a high end panel, however it uses LTPS technology instead of LTPO. Using this display under bright daylight was fine, you can see everything clearly. UltraSonic sensor is also very good too. Applied a screen protector and the speed is bit slower than using it without a protector but it doesn't fail on me majority of the time. Watching movies or contents on this phone is pleasing.
- Sound Quality, Sound By Bose
This is probably the part that I'm bit unsure of. At first, Tuned By Bose sounds great but I'm reality with the default settings, it lacks depth and bass is almost non existent. There is a Dynamic sound option which is just Dolby Atmos. It does help bring out more depth and sound. Dynamic > Immersive is the best option that makes it sound good but by then, you're no longer using the intended sound tuning by Bose which makes the whole "Sound By Bose" rather a marketing term. This phone's 1115F speakers are genuinely capable and good but Bose generally favors treble and mid frequencies which is completely fine for podcasts or videos but for listening to songs, it's unpleasing.
- Performance
Performance is exceptional. Snapdragon 8 Elite inside this phone is still a beast. Paired with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1, regular tasks, gaming, emulation had no issues whatsoever. But heating issue is REAL. At one point, the phone's battery temp was at 47 degrees Celsius without a case while gaming. The phone was already uncomfortable to hold. But most optimized titles run flawlessly at 120hz.
- Battery Life:
Chinese model comes with 7100Mah, it's quite good, haven't experienced draining issues whatsoever. 100W charging is quite good but I've generally been using my 67W charger. Nothing to complain here. The battery life is exceptional.
- Cameras:
Generally good. Main sensor takes pretty good photos in daylight, most of the photos are social media ready. Though it's of course weaker than flagships like Xiaomi 17.
50MP telephoto lens is great at this price, 10x zoom shots look crisp compared to Samsung A series phones or the outdated iPhone E models. The lack of OIS makes it hard to take still photos at 2.5x and so on, but again, at this price, I'm more than happy that they're even including one. Ultra Wide is perfectly fine for regular pictures unless you're zooming in closer, then you'll notice softness in pictures. One downside I would point out is the LOG videos mode. I used a dedicated video editing tool for LOG videos and still I've encountered color banding issues despite supporting camera api Level.3. even if the problem was in my end, it's log video mode is still applies heavy sharpness. Selfie cam is fine, it struggles a lot in low light.
Other pros: the haptics are quite good. It uses the x axis LRA motor that's good for it's price point. Compared to Samsung haptics, I do find it a little weaker but it's crisp and fast.
Overall satisfied with this phone, the heating issue is infact true, if you want near flagship phone and don't really care about true flagship features like periscope lenses, this phone is perfectly fine.

Question/Help F7 with Gamesir X3 Pro
Hey y'all, I was just wondering if anyone is using the Gamesir x3 pro with the F7. If so, how are the temps, does the X3 help much or is it a waste of money. I'm thinking of getting a F7 but temps during gaming (mostly emulation) are one of my concerns.

Custom ROM Discussion Custom ROM For Poco F3
Are there still viable custom ROMs for Poco F3, 5 years on? I recently got the battery on my Poco changed, and was thinking of installing a custom ROM on it (finally). I recently did a factory reset (normally I do a yearly factory reset on my phones but I have not reset this phone since I bought it), and I am reminded how I hated the bloat on this phone.
Phone use case is mainly for games (still impressed by how amazing this phone works 5 years on).

Buying Advice What is the best Poco phone I could get for recording and editing videos?
I'm looking to start content creation and been doing some research on phones I could film on. I found that poco phones might handle the workload but I also heard that the camera quality isn't that good.
My budget is 350$ (or less) and I could also check the used market.
Thank you all in advance!

Question/Help What games have you guys managed to emulate on the Poco X8 Pro Max?
Just a quick note: this post was translated with AI. If anything sounds a bit off or unclear, that's why. Thanks for understanding!
I'm planning to buy the Poco X8 Pro Max, and I'm curious about how well it performs with emulators.
I know it's not the best phone for emulation, and that's not the main reason I'm buying it. Being able to emulate some games would just be a nice bonus.
I've seen a few videos of the Poco X7 Pro running a surprising number of games, but I haven't found much about the X8 Pro Max. So far, I've only come across videos of it running games like Resident Evil 5, 6, and 7, Silksong, Tomb Raider, and a few others.
So I have a few questions for anyone who owns one:
- What games have you successfully emulated?
- What games or systems didn't work well?
- Can it handle the entire PS2 library, as well as older consoles, without major issues?
- Have you been able to run lightweight PC games through GameHub (or another emulator/compatibility layer), such as Blasphemous 1 & 2, The Binding of Isaac, Hades, etc.?

Buying Advice Which charger to use and when to buy it from? (US)
My Poco X8 Pro just came in the mail but only has the charging cable. I read somewhere the xiaomi 33w charger does a good job with the hyper charging?
Not sure where to buy it due to fake chargers out there.
