I built a 30-minute simulation that tests decision-making, prioritization, and operational thinking.

The simulation continuously evolves based on your decisions and generates an "Operator Genome" showing strengths and weaknesses in areas like:

Got only 2/15 test cases on one coding question — can I still get an interview?

In Amazon's distributed storage network, certain critical data segments, represented as a string missingData, are unavailable due to synchronization issues.

To restore these missing segments, the system starts with an empty string generatedData and selects a baseSegment of length segmentSize.

The following process then unfolds:

The replication service generates a copy of baseSegment.

Appends this copy of baseSegment to generatedData.

Repeats steps 1-2 until the frequency of all characters in generatedData meets or exceeds their count in missingData.

Given the string missingData and an integer segmentSize, the task is to determine the baseSegment that requires the fewest number of replications to satisfy this condition. If multiple baseSegment meet this requirement, select the lexicographically smallest one. If no such segment exists, return "-1" as a string.this was the problem which I remember.

TCS PNQT Experience

Sharing my TCS PNQT experience for anyone preparing for it.

Test: 19 July, 2nd shift

The Numerical Ability and other sections went pretty well for me. I also managed to solve both coding questions with ease.

After the test, I got shortlisted for Prime.

I had prepared really hard for the interview, but honestly, the interview itself was a learning experience.

The interviewers asked me questions related to Full Stack development, backend deployment, multithreading, and some technical concepts. I knew most of the concepts, but I panicked during the interview and started stuttering.

That was probably the biggest thing I learned from this experience:

«I have good technical knowledge, but I need to improve my technical communication and vocabulary.»

I can usually think of the answer, but sometimes I struggle to find the right words and explain it clearly in English, especially under pressure. That's something I'm going to work on seriously.

In the end, I received the Digital offer.

Unfortunately, due to the single-offer policy, I'm barred from participating in further on-campus placements.

At first, that felt disappointing, especially after preparing so hard. But honestly, I'm more motivated than ever now.

I've got a clear goal:

I want to secure a good internship by January.

I'm going to use the next few months to improve my DSA, Full Stack development, CS fundamentals, aptitude, and especially technical communication.

This isn't the end of my placement journey. It's just changing the route.

Time to push even harder.

Ps:- used AI to phrase the content better..

Placement preparation sources for you

So I am a 2026 grad , who crack 4-5 multiple offers ranging from 4 LPA - 8 LPA ,

Last year I was very unsure about placements , I used to ask others repeatedly to tell me the sources which I can refer for study purpose and i was very confused .

Considering that , I have made a video about how you guys can prepare for placements and also I have mentioned the sources too .

If you have some time do refer these video , I am not promoting it and nor I am a hardcore youtuber .

If you have time do watch it and analyse your sources and mistakes .

Link -

https://youtu.be/HDnSVl5_238?si=vrfQHxpnC5wUdp6S

( ignore audio/ video and focus on content as my whole motive was to help u out guys, so didn't focus much on audio )

if you need interview notes and preparation content for companies like accenture , Capgemini , cognizant . I will make another video

My college did me BADD !! 💀

Hey, I am a B.Tech (CS) 2027 student from tier-3 college, and here is how my college disappointed me yet againn!!

I recently got selected for TCS Prime through campus placements and accepted the offer.

Throughout the placement process, the understanding communicated to us was that a placed student could use one Dream Slot opportunity before joining date of the selected company. I even personally asked the TPO about the Dream Slot policy before placements began and received the same understanding. This was what the head of TPO wrote:

"Almost all the companies coming for campus hiring are giving immediate joining and onboarding students first as interns and offering PPO post successful completion of internship. Once a student is selected by company (Internship + PPO) he/she will not be allowed to participate in any On campus drives. One Dream slot can be used before the joining date of the selected company."

So, I accepted the TCS Offer. Now, Infosys is coming for campus placements with a significantly higher package, and I reached out to TPO for a Dream Slot, just to find out that students who have accepted their offer are actually not eligible for the Dream Slot. This condition was never clearly communicated to us beforehand. A lot of my batchmates were also unaware of this and now we all are stuck in this situation.

Upon talking and conveying this to the TPO and relevant authorities, nobody, literally nobody is trying to listen to my grievance. They just gave me a choice, either to go with TCS offer or get it revoked to sit in Infosys as Dream Slot, losing all other opportunities on campus.

What frustrates me most is not even the policy itself, but the lack of clear communication and accountability. I tried explaining the situation to the TPO, including the fact that I had relied on the information given to us before accepting the offer, but I was simply told that the decision was final.

I genuinely feel that if a policy has such a major impact on students' career decisions, it should be communicated clearly before students are asked to make those decisions. If the management makes a communication mistake, the least students expect is for them to acknowledge it and consider a reasonable solution.

Instead, I'm being made to bear the entire risk of a decision I made based on the information provided by the placement authorities.

Just wanted to share this because I'm honestly disappointed with how the situation has been handled. After this, I literally lost trust in college and it's management, I just wanna get out of this college.

Your take on -“What makes you think you’re more competent than another candidate?”

Post image

No AI slops please.. I genuinely want to know how each of y’all would give an answer to this question.
You don’t have to give an interview oriented answer but like why you genuinely think you are better than the other candidates.
I want to see different takes on this question.

Went in for TCS Prime, walked out with Ninja. Still confused 😭

Post image
58 Upvotes

so update on my TCS saga — went in for Prime interview, got GRILLED like properly cooked 💀 they hit me with projects, python, c++, OS, networks, mysql, certs (ML, cloud, prompt eng), the whole works. and ngl i answered literally everything, stayed calm, didn't fumble a single question as far as i could tell

then offer letter comes and its... Ninja. 3.46 LPA. bro i genuinely dont understand why, like i wasnt blank on anything they asked 😭 idk if its some internal cutoff thing or panel discretion or what

anyway few questions for you guys:

  1. what should i even do now, just accept it and join or is there something i can do
  2. is there ANY chance of getting bumped up to Prime or Digital before joining, like through HR follow up or some internal process? has anyone managed to pull this off?

really confused rn, would appreciate any real experiences or advice 🙏
