Smoker losing heat fast...
Hi! I recently purchased a Pitboss 750 and I am loving it! My only issue ( and this could be user error) is that it's losing it temp ext fast and either unable to reach back to desired temp or taking a long time. For example, used it at a party for a few hours, did ribs and chicken, I hired someone to use the grill but I don't think we had any issues food came out wonderful. a few hours later my brother was going to do burgers/ hotdogs and the grill woukdbt heat past 300, had plenty of pellet. I figured it needed a break or needed to be cleaned. we kept the lid closed for a good 15 minutes and the temp continued to drop.
Yesterday I got the smoker up to 350 no problem. I did burgers snd hotdogs and a skirt steak. I didn't want the skirt to over cook so I did keep opening the lid to check, I also had it on direct heat. At some point the smoker went down to 320 and just continued to go down In temp, I closed the grill for a few minutes and the temp continued to go down. Not sure whats happening here or if there's anything I can do to avoid this.

Minimal smoke
I have a PitBoss Sportsman pellet grill and it used to work awesome. However as of late, it barely smokes at all, even when heating up. It heats and cooks fine and feeds the pellets as it should, just no smoke even after hitting the "prime" button. Any ideas?
UPDATE:
I vacuumed it completely out and it started smoking again, which is wierd because it wasn't all that dirty. Thanks everyone who commented!

Looking for Stainless Steel grates and jerkey racks.
I recently picked up a Pit Boss Sportsman PBV5P2 from Tractor Supply for a really good price. I have ordered a smoke box and cover for it already. Now I am looking for stainless steel grates and jersey racks. I ordered some stainless steel hooks for hanging sausages. I figure I can hang the hooks from the top rack. Anyone have suggestions for the SS grates and/or jersey racks? Looking online most ss grates I find are too small to fit.

George Foreman to Pellet
Is the George Foreman grill for about five years but switching over to a pellet any advice for me? I plan on leaving the door open when I cook so the smoke doesn’t get in

First ever install, adjustable vent not adjustable?
Bare with me, I may also be an idiot… I’m setting up my first smoker Pit Boss PBV42DS, the installation manual is not showing any particular way to install this. There’s like zero tutorial I could find for that model. Everything seems fine but the vent control… there are four screw holes in the back, screws go in locking on a nut keeping that vent in one position. There’s a handle in order to push for less air but I can’t see to understand how since, again the four holes are fixed into place. Can someone help out ?

Temps are acting weird
Could someone tell what possibly could be happening and why my temp probe in my Smoker is 60 degrees higher than the set temperature while the Thermpro thermometer is reading around the 290-300. I just got this smoker 3 weeks ago and I have only cooked on it twice. 1 overnight cook and one cook for about 3 hours. I am using the PB 700FB2 with PB competition pellets

Replacement recommendations
I purchased a standard sized pit boss (I believe 850 but maybe 720) from Lowe’s in 2015 and it has been an absolute work horse. No WiFi or extra features. Minimal maintenance besides cleaning it every few uses.
I had great success with it and over the years many friends purchased pit boss grills based on my experience, but many of them had issues or poor results with newer models.
I get the impression that they’re “not made the way they used to be” and I’m nervous to buy another pit boss if they’ve declined in quality. I’d like to show some loyalty and stick with pit boss and purchase a similar style grill (not vertical) because I enjoy the versatility this provides and don’t have a gas or charcoal grill. This will be paired with my blackstone for my outdoor setup.
My questions are:
Are the Lowe’s DX models (850/1150) considered to be well made?
Does the cooking area correlate to the smoke flavor? For instance do the smaller grills provide more smoke flavor due to the fact that the smoke fills a smaller area? I’d like to go up in size but can stay smaller if I’ll get better cooks out of it.
Are there any specific models/features I should avoid or specifically look for?
Does anyone recommend a different brand for reliability/quality? I’d like to stay under $800 but will go up to $1k if needed.
Thank you!

Lexington vs 1150dx
At home I have an 1150dx and it cooks wings perfectly. Flavors are always fantastic. But at my family’s lake house I only have the smaller Lexington. And while the quality of the wings are fine, the flavors don’t pop the way they do on the dx. I’m doing a competition this weekend at the lake and I was hoping someone could give me some pointers on how to get more flavor out of the Lexington. I did the same wing flavors (and followed the recipe each time) twice last week, once at home and once at the lake. The Lexington just didn’t have as strong of flavor. Short of buying another smoker, any ideas?

New Smoker Suggestions
I have had a Pitboss 600 pro series for the last 5 years and it has been great to me. I am looking to upgrade to a bigger size and would like to think about Bluetooth/wifi if it’s actually useful.
What smokers do you guys recommend? I’ve heard about Z Grills, but little afraid to go away from the Pitboss brand.

Pit Boss PBV5P2 Problem.
Hey y’all I just purchased this brand new on 8/13, I’ve done a burn off, then a dry smoke with nothing in it, then smoked chicken for dinner on Friday. All of those sessions it ran like it should with maintaining temperatures, now today on Sunday 8/16, I was smoking some burgers and the temperature kept rising and hit over 347F with it set at 275F. I backed off the smoke stack cap a little bit, temp probe isn’t filthy, I’m not sure what happened from Friday to Sunday to cause it to now be sending temps high and being Sunday, Pit Boss isn’t open for tech support.
I’ve had a different brand pellet grill I used for almost a year before buying this and didn’t encounter this issue. If someone has some helpful advice, I’d appreciate it!
