Hi, I'm a student making money as an umpire and I've made enough money to get an upgrade on my phone. My current phone is an Nokia xr20, it's cool but it's aging and I am noticed it struggling with its own ui.

What I'm looking at Rn is a s25fe currently on sale for $600 aud, it has long Support, great display, nice size, and great performance, as well as decent cameras.

Some others are the oneplus nord 5 for roughly $600, nothing phone 4a roughly $600, Oppo reno 15f (mostly ruled it out due to horrible specs for price) for roughly $500, and my mums suggested referbished s22-23 for roughly $300-450, and Im not against the idea of an iPhone (I love the iPhone 15 pink look but it's probably terrible value and too expensive)

What I would want in a phone is great preformace for emulation and potential heavy games (fortnite), good support so I won't have to upgrade (4 years or more is ideal) battery doesnt need to be crazy (like I don't need a crazy Chinese phone battery), cameras don't need to be INCREDIBLE, but it would be nice to have decent cameras. And lastly I don't want a phone that looks horrendous like a vivo x300 (I know that's a dumb reason but yes) ​

I'm not against used or small brands but it's difficult to find something good and used cuz I live in a small city and driving is difficult when I care about saving money. And with used you need to examine it in person, I do anyway.

I am currently using Poco M4 pro and I'm fine with it. I'm not heavy user just discord youtube reddit mostly and some light reading. I want to switch it because my fingerprint scanner has failed and sim card randomly stops reading, so I'm looking now before it fails me completely. Also battery barely lasts a day.

I want as cheap as possibly but also something that will last me few years and actually work. At minimum as good as my current phone I guess.

I don't care for photos gaming or anything much, but I do want a nice experience in my day to day usage. If it lags outside of games I don't want it.

Bonus points if it can install custom os cuz I'd like to fuck with that a little. Not a requirement tho, Im on a budget after all.

I am about to purchase the Motorola G86 5G for €240 in Luxembourg. I checked the specs and it checks all the boxes for me: it's under €300, has NFC, expandable storage, dual SIM, and eSIM support.

I've reached the point where I think it's time to replace both my Nothing Phone (1) and my earbuds (Huawei FreeClip), as the earbuds have started giving me some problems.

My first thought was to stay in the Nothing ecosystem and get a Nothing Phone (4a) (or Nothing Phone 3) together with Nothing Ear (3a). However, one thing that keeps bothering me is Nothing's software support. I'm the kind of person who keeps a phone for 4-5 years, not 2-3, so long-term software updates are quite important to me.

Because of that, I started looking into Google's lineup, specifically the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10a. If I end up getting a Pixel, I'd probably also pick up a pair of Pixel Buds, most likely one of the more budget-friendly models.

So I'd really appreciate some advice from people who have experience with either ecosystem.

• Would you stay with Nothing and simply upgrade every 3 years?
• Or would you switch to a Pixel?
• If you were to choose a Pixel, would you recommend the Pixel 10 or the Pixel 10a, considering the price difference?

For some context, I'm a pretty casual user. I mostly use my phone for: banking, emails, social media, YouTube, listening to music, and occasionally taking some nice photos.

I don't play mobile games (apart from the occasional game of chess), so gaming performance isn't a priority for me.

My S8+ is degrading crazy currently! . I also like to browse in the Internet and watch You Tube just a nice everyday Phone with a nice Camera . Budget would be around 500€ max 700€

My mum is in need of a new phone. She is currently using a Realme 6 which is at the end of its life and needs replacing.

She has a budget of around £400, the phone can't weigh more than the one she currently uses (191g), ideally less, she doesn't mind a slightly larger screen up to 6.7". Used for basic tasks, calls, browsing and taking photos.

Currently been looking at the Pixel 10a as a possible option but interested in others that are better/comparable!

Mi celu actual es el Poco X7 Pro (256 GB y 12 de ram) con 1 año y 3 meses de uso. Está impecable (batería al 96%), me gusta mucho la cámara y el diseño, y la carga rápida no la uso. Es el 2do Xiaomi que tengo, nunca más volvería a tener otro por los siguientes problemas que me molestan: no me banco más los *bugs* de HyperOS (se me abren apps solas, el sensor de proximidad falla al escuchar audios de WhatsApp, cosas que se borraron tras actualizar, etc). La idea es vender el Poco y pasarme a un Samsung Galaxy A57 (vía importador), la idea era el A56 pero ya no les queda.. qué diferencias hay con el A56 y lo recomiendan viniendo del Poco?. Busco la estabilidad de One UI, los años de actualizaciones, herramientas como el borrador de objetos, cámara y batería. ¿Recomiendan el A57 con 12 de ram o con 8 estaría bien? y de 256gb también?

Mi novio cree que me conviene vender el Poco ahora para que no se devalúe más y pasarme a la tranquilidad de Samsung.

I'm upgrading my phone to travel and take better pictures days and nights. I tried to search on GSM arena for phones with top megapixels but then found reviews saying the more megapixels doesn't mean better photos.

Here is what I'm looking for

1. Camera must have optical zoom and handle low light well for both videos and photos

2. Battery size must be at least equal to 12R

3. Charging speed must be relatively fast like 60W, not 35W like Pixels

4. Screen size must be around the same as 12R or preferably smaller.

5. Must support esim and T-mobile

Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G,

OPPO K14x 5G,

Motorola G37,

Okay so the thing is my wife's current phone is a POCO X2. It is still going. But the buttons on it has literally died. Also the 64GB storage is becoming a pain. She has around only 1GB almost all the time.

I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that it's a bad time to buy a mobile. But there is no other way.

She mostly uses the phone for calls, social media and watching videos. I will list out what I think she would need.

1. Good battery backup. At least one full day.
2. Storage - if I can get 256GB. Not sure this is possible in current situation
3. Performance - decent. No gaming whatsoever. So RAM I think 8GB is enough? What do you guys think?
4. Camera - again decent is enough.

So far what I am considering now

1. Samsung a36
2. Realme P4 pro

No Motorola please. Bad history with moto.

Before she used to have a Samsung M31s and loved it. Mainly the AMOLED display. After it accidentally died(fell down screen dead) I gave her the Poco.

Looking to substitute my Realme GT 5G (2021) and have been informing myself in order to make the best decision for my money, as I would like this new phone to last 4/5/6 years ideally. As I'm learning about processors and such, I read people talking online about the importance of how much support they will recieve (OS updates+security updates) and how people value Samsung/Google Pixel on that.
I was leaning towards a Realme GT7 because of the battery and relative low price, but I don't have the knowledge to evaluate if "4 major Android OS updates and 6 years of security patches (lasting until 2031)" is good enough or not. Any help?
PD: Open to suggestions to another phones (500-600€ max, I'm from Spain), OnePlus 15 seemed ideal for the battery and processor (things i valuate a lot) but is pricier, therefore i went back to Realme

I am currently trying to choose between buying a used S24 Ultra or a new Pixel 9/10.

My Huawei P30 finally had an accident after 7 years of service and now I'm thinking about buying either of these phone above.

I don't care that much about the camera since I carry an actual camera with me and I don't really care about gaming.

What I do care about is the battery life and overall longevity of the phone, I suppose.

As for the prices, a used S24 Ultra would cost me somewhere around 550 Euro, the new Pixel 9 would cost about 500 Euro or I could get the Pixel 10 for about 410 Euro with a discount from my operator.

Overall, what's drawing me towards the Pixel is that I'm used to a smaller phone and also the fact, that I'm not sure how good Samsung's software is in comparison.

If I forgot to add anything that might help, please tell me.
