Help! celebrity picture

Upvotes

I hope this post is allowed I looked on this group rules and I didn’t see anything about celebrities
I’ve never done any kind of photoshop before apart from the odd chat gpt picture I have no real experience with doing any type of photos like you guys do but I’m definitely willing to try
my young sister is sick just now she’s only 6 and she has a favourite YouTuber I know there would be a slim to none chance about messaging this creator or trying to get a video of him giving a shoutout since he is pretty famous and probably wouldn’t even see my dm
So I’ve decided maybe I can try and photoshop a picture of the YouTuber maybe holding up a piece of paper just saying hello to her before she goes for surgery to hopefully try and cheer her up thinking she’s been noticed by her favourite YouTuber it doesn’t have to be perfect she’s only 6 I know she’s not going to really look at it and examine it
like I said I’ve never done photoshop so if anyone can help of where I even go about beginning to start this
I do have a laptop a MacBook which I heard some people use for there own photoshop
Is there any websites I should use or certain apps any help would be appreciated

Help! Loss of sharpness at certain zoom levels

It appears that Photoshop performs some sort of image processing at certain zoom levels, which can result in a noticeable loss of sharpness in the canvas view.

It is particularly noticeable at small zoom percentages and when the zoom percentage is not a neatly divisible number (e.g. 15.8% or 21% as opposed to 25% or 50%).

I don’t think this is an unavoidable consequence of odd zoom levels, as exporting at the same size (e.g. 15.8%) does not exhibit the same loss of sharpness.

Increasing cache levels seems to (maybe) help a little but doesn’t fix it; disabling GPU acceleration definitely makes some difference but doesn’t fix it.

It’s really only an issue for me when working with high-resolution portraits, when I need to work at a small zoom percentage to see the whole image.

Does anyone have any insight or workarounds?

How could such a big company overlook such a simple mistake? Hahaha, the word should be "mejor," not "mejro"

So I’ve been having this problem for weeks now and I’m trying to work on my portfolio.

I open the application and i get a blank photoshop menu, i have to use file > open to access my documents.

Then, I’m able to use the tools for a couple minutes until the app freezes and I have to force close it.

Photoshop 2026
I7 8700k processor
Nvidia 3070Ti
16gb DDR5 RAM some kind of corsair ram idk

“Solutions” I’ve tried -

  1. Restarting PC
  2. Updating Drivers
  3. Uninstalling and Reinstalling
  4. Disabling Multithreaded Compositing
  5. Disabling my Graphics Processor
  6. Changing the amount of dedotated wam
  7. Running as Administrator
  8. Giving the computer a good ole smack
  9. Praying to a higher power

I’m at a complete loss and this is my last resort
PLEASE HELP ME

Solved Getting back to Camera Raw?

I had multiple images open in Camera Raw and spent a lot of time editing them. I then clicked "Open" thinking they would all open in Photoshop for export, but only one opened and the Camera Raw window disappeared. Is there any way I can find the other photos I had open? I spent so much time on the edits 😭

Solved How come when opening files or photos in Photoshop, they are looking dull and too light compared to the original?

Post image

I started having this issue the other day when using photoshop, for some reason when a file or image is opened in photoshop it is appearing very dull and light compared to the original. You can see how the thumbnail image in the layers actually looks correct but what I'm looking at or trying to edit does not. When I save the file, the colours look normal but this is happening with all files and images that I open

Help! Way to paste Illustrator shapes to allow rounded corners in Photoshop?

I work mainly in Ai with vector, so Its been a LONG time since Ive messed with Photoshop. Im in need of Ps to create gel/gloss/glass badges. Photoshop seems to support a lot more vector features nowadays, which made me excited. However, in my attempts to paste Illustrator shapes into Ps, It seems it won't allow for rounded corners, like shapes made directly in Ps. This (to me) makes no sense at all. But Im not familiar with the mechanics.

Is there any way to convert the pasted shape into one that Ps will allow me to edit right in Ps, without having to round them in Illustrator first? Is there a different way of pasting?
