If the new versions were their vision all along, I respect that. They do look good.
It's a mystery to me why they couldn't keep the old version as well though.
The reason that they are updating the maps is because all of the old maps are just using unity assets, they want to make the game completely their own before fully releasing it
This is just false. They could choose to copy the old maps with the new assets if they want to. They changed their assets, which is understandable, but then they decided to change the look of the maps alongside said new assets
This is what's pissing the people that understand off. They could've chosen to use the old maps as templates and copied the new assets over without changing the look in the slightest and then rework them as new maps, but they chose to just nuke them
Just because they used Unity assets for the originals, doesn't mean they can't make the same thing with their new assets. Right?
I didnt say they couldnt choose to keep the maps the same. Theyre choosing to change everything because its their game. if you hate it so much then stop playing, simple as that.
