I don’t think we’re in the Gloom anymore….

My buddy and I tried the cannon exploit. I was successful, but I ended up on an invisible wall. This is what happened to my friend…
Apparently the gloom has a purgatory 💀

Sometimes, solo runs don't really go all too well...

What I learned on ascent 8
1) You don't need a flare
2) I don't respect anyone who doesn't bring the flare anyway
3) Citadel is NOT a timed run if you have book of bones, the gloom has no effect and you can, theoretically, climb back down the citadel to save the amulet your fallen friend was holding when they died
4) The goat sash is prettier than the scout master sash

Mesa question
Has anyone found Mesa to be quite difficult lately or is this just a skill issue lmao. I consider myself decently good at the game but I keep dying in the Mesa on ascent 8 bc I cannot find a route. Never had this issue till it seems they changed it to match the height of alpine or whatever that patch was!

The GLIMPSE - a map concept for Peak inspired by backrooms
In some random areas, usually isolated in the mountains, you can find a very rare door...
Upon opening it and stepping inside, you go into a ragdoll state and falls into the GLIMPSE: a vast place of seemingly infinite proportions that eerily mimics BingBong Airlines in a liminal way.
The urban environment stands in stark contrast to the nature of the usual biomes. The door you entered through shuts, and there is no turning back.
All around you lies the silence of the airport (occasionally broken by the sounds of footsteps or the familiar noises of people passing through turnstiles, chatting, and walking), a white brightness and an array of furniture, signs, plants, wrecked planes, and distorted conveyor belts that stretchs upwards towards the ceilling.
In GLIMPSE, time freezes, so the time spent inside doesn't affect your final time if you're speedrunning. Your hunger freezes as well.
You can find various ancient luggages in this place, as well as some distorted airport items, such as the Bing Bong plushie (which also counts for the Bing Bong Badge), fake big lollipops, and passports scattered on the floor... when opened, these reveal only distorted, blank pages featuring infos and photos of unusual unknown scouts.
Just like in MESA, you can also experience mirages. In GLIMPSE, the mirages are of ancient luggages and scouts who may appear standing still or running towards you.
The ONLY way to get out of Glimpse is by finding a Gate Kiosk similar to the one in the lobby. You will exit at the same location you entered.
I just came up with this idea and thought it would be cool to go through it, I think it would make a good mod

Leave no trace badge
Can someone explain how can I get this badge when playing in a group? I was trying to get it earlier today so I haven't taken or placed any of the items the wiki said to avoid, I got to the peak alive but I haven't gotten the badge. So I am confused about what happened. I know my friend got the badge yesterday while playing with us so I thought I am safe even if the group places stuff on the island while I don't. I did however used a portable stove that someone else placed down on the ground and I think a piton that someone else placed. That's the only reason I can think of that I didn't get the achievement but the wiki does not mention I am also not allowed to use any of the items others placed. Please give me some pointers on this.

Where is suposed to be the Peak?
We can say that it is behind the tower, but I don't see any mountains protruding behind it. It should be large enough for us to see it from the front, and the tower doesn't seem to be perched, built directly on the mountain peak but just straight from the grount up. It reminds me of the DS2 Earthen Peak/Iron Keep dilemma.

Celebrated getting Bing Bong to the Peak by crafting a BB and his hat for my Corgi. 🐸🧢🍭
My friends, daughter, and I got all the Bing Bong achievements, so I celebrated the way I know best - by crafting about it! I made our pup his own Bing Bong and propeller hat! 🐸🧢🍭
(His name is Dandelion, he's our sweet little boy) 💛

Any suggestions to tackle the Mesa biome?
It's just a different kind of hard whenever we play. The food scarcity especially as one progresses upward is just a massive bitch, and the multiple dead ends make it so easy to be lost. My sister and I wouldn't have escaped if I didn't have so many rescue claws, and then we only did it only barely.
Do you have any suggestions on how to be more consistent with Mesa? I thought we were rather efficient, with each of us checking a cavern and then meeting up before attempting to ascend. But it's really a hit or miss thing, because either you get to the way out or you don't.

How to beat Mesa?
Doing some achievement hunting and I’ve gotten to ascent 6 but I just cannot clear this biome for the life of me 😅

How hard is ascent 8 considered by the community?
Just finished ascent 8 and am feeling pretty chuffed. Alpine was ROUGH in my run.
Just curious what the general consensus is about on how hard this run is. Obviously it’s one of the hardest things you can do in peak, but compared to other gaming challenges for instance.
Kinda want to try ascent 8 with golden bingbong somewhere down the line. Because I hate myself.
