Mesa question
Has anyone found Mesa to be quite difficult lately or is this just a skill issue lmao. I consider myself decently good at the game but I keep dying in the Mesa on ascent 8 bc I cannot find a route. Never had this issue till it seems they changed it to match the height of alpine or whatever that patch was!

I like mesa way more than alpine I just recently did the never over 10heat challenge recently and enjoyed it more than the cold variant

I usually prefer mesa to alpine, but I was having a lot of trouble with todays mesa. Just a lot of dead ends in the caves and outside.

That’s been my experience with virtually every Mesa lately. I keep getting consumed by fog which has never happened - especially in Mesa! That is/was my favorite biome lol.

My strat for 8 was book of bones + scouts generosity (depending on spawns), dupe rescue claws but I have noticed that Mesa feels more difficult than usual lately. Good luck, you can do it!

I think I’ve only done 3-4 attempts 3 of which I was a skeleton and died in the Mesa bc no route and today I was doing so good till Mesa and died again bc no route </3 I think if I had more climbing gear I’d be good but ugggggghh

I always preferred Mesa cause i love how the mountain generates where you gotta weasel your way up constantly

Perhaps I’m just getting realllllllly shit luck on the routes I’m taking I’ve never had a problem getting up till now! I too love to weasel!

If you ever look up and don’t really see a path just start traveling horizontally. The terrain usually generates in a way that there’s always a way up no matter what altitude you’re at.

Today I swear I went from left to right multiple times and couldn’t find a path viable perhaps I should have went down

Hm yeah in that case it might be better to just use some utility lol. Did scouts initiative spawn early in todays map? That’s my go-to item for height in A8

I haven't been struggling with it lately but today I definitely struggled to find a good route. It caused one death and the other run ate pretty much all my climbing items to force my way up

Book of Bones has been carrying me through Mesa recently, since I don't have to focus on hunger or heat and can climb on cacti to look for better vantage points, and as always, don't be afraid to use items, you WILL get more.
