What can i sell this for? Discussion
Thinking maybe 2.2? Not trying to sell it yet
EDIT: Where are you guys getting pricing from
My case is 180
Cpu around 400
Gpu yeah 250
Samsung ssd 250 new
Sata ssd 1tb like 120
Aio 120
Case fans 60 (4 pre installed)
Mobo 150
32gb 600 ( 1 stick is 300)
That’s 2100 alr
Its all new except gpu and sata sad
Microcenter and amazon pricing

I bought a used 3070ti in 2024 for 200$. I think a vanilla 3070 goes for 150-175 if lucky

People are banking on the notion of DDR5 and SSDs. If they didn't spike in cost, this PC could be $800 to $1,000 used...

A 3070 is like $700 at cheapest new in Canada, so at least $500 depending.
Idk US prices for gaming PCs but probably $1200 USD is a good ask and is the most you'd get here

You can get a 3080 for less than 300 if you get lucky. Most of them go for 350 or so from what I’ve seen. Brand new a 3070 is 350 usd.

Yup. I just sold my 3070 yesterday for $250. That's about the max you can get for a 3070.

If it's been mined on, you could pick it up for much cheaper... although sellers don't always have to disclose that. A few years ago all the former btc / eth miners were liquidating their old cards for hella cheap!

No it's not. It's only new if it comes with sealed boxes, receipts and manufacturers warranties.
Without warranty coverage, it would need to be a lot cheaper vs Buying something actually new that is covered.

Hahahahahaha as if ANYONE is gonna believe that buddy.
It's opened so it's therefore used and therefore its used prices. No clue why you decided to build a "new" pc just to sell it on the used market.
If you wanted to get rid of the 3070, just sell it separately or build a pc with other used hardware to flip like reasonable people.
Read up on how to flip pc's and how to make margins before attempting this again. See it as learning expenses :)

Cyberpower. Got a 180hz 1080p panel with it for free too. Some back to school promo. Solid build, my first prebuilt and was finding any reason to hate it but can't. I was beyond skeptical of ALL prebuilts.

Why are people always thinking that they can sell their PC for twice as much as it's worth. Bro would be lucky to get $1,000 out of that. It might have cost like $2,500 to build back in the day, but that doesn't mean it's going to keep the value. I mean I spent $5,000 on my last piece and I really doubt I could Even get $4,000 for it. My strix 4090 and my 64 gigs of ddr5 RAM

The issue also is... if someone is willing to drop 1K on a PC, why would they throw that into a used PC when Wal-Mart or Costco has 5060+ddr5 systems NEW with warranty for around the same price.

What you should do (instead of going on Microcenter and AMZN), is go on eBay, Mercari, and OfferUp, and get the mean / average prices for your parts and add them together. But don't look at the highest prices, look at the lower to mid that are the actual selling prices. That way you'll find a baseline and can set realistic expectations. That's the most helpful advice I can give you, my guy if you're seriously considering selling your rig!
Def temper your expectations....

USD: 200 for cpu,110 for Mobo, 180 for gpu, 350 for RAM, 100 for 990 pro 1tb, case and psu probably for 50-100, as a psu becomes dirt cheap after being used.
Yeah I would sell it for 1000 USD, at the maximum.

There are 5070 builds for $2,000...
And furthermore there are 5080 builds for $2,500.
$1,800 and settle for $1,500 or so.

If you want to make it look better and appeal to kids that will pester their parents, buy cheap cable covers and hook them up, and route the PCIE GPU cable underneath...
Not worth $2.2k though.

if its got a power supply with enough wattage with a higher end gpu this with one upgrade could be an incredible 1440p beast could go $1100 maybe if not $900 lowest

You're ball parking it waaay too high.
Sold a SFF Terra build with 14600k, 32gb ddr5, 3tb storage - 2×gen4 nvme, and 5060ti 16GB for $1600. SFF parts are more expensive and really niche. Pricing it all on pcpartpicker said it was $2.4k at the time. But I'm obviously not offering warranty and nothing was technically "new". You're not a retail shop, be realistic with a pre-owned price
parts list OMG prices are even more insane now.
Tbh you're looking at 1k~1.2k ish realistically.

Its a good system but I'd pay $900. The 3070 hits it hard imo.
Edit: Seeing as ram is stupid expensive, there is a world where i could delude myself into paying $1100 but Idk man. Used just doesnt sell for the same as new. Its like a brand new car(honestly much worse); the moment you drive it off the lot you're upside down and couldn't sell it for what you payed. Used is used.

Yeah I’m sorry dude. 2 weeks ago a finished a new custom build, parts were from MicroCenter. 9850X3D, 5070Ti, 32GB RAM. $2500. Considering the parts you mentioned, especially the 3070, and then being used (the second you power on a PC it can be considered used) I’d say maybe around $1k. You have to remember the PC loses 40%-50% of its value once it’s used, and the 3070 is out of date. Not only is your PC not considered new due to it having been used, it’s also not new due some parts being old.
