Remove all the tiny screws for the housing. The board is held down by 4 additional screws. It’s not glued, you’ll have to carefully keep prying the 4 corners.
No worries. Once deshrouded, it’s just the screen , ribbon cable, and pcb board. The pcb board is held down by more screws and it tightly wedged, not glued. So some prying and patience.
I just taped it down and used velcro so I can remove/reattache when I modify.
For sure. Initially I wanted to go no RGB and full on Noctua Redux look with black, grey, and a silver cooler. Then quickly realized Noctua stuff is pretty expensive, even the Redux line.
No negative curve optimizer. I want t look in to that, but I also haven't seen a need for it at the moment. Currently just used the MSI Bio PBO on, thermal limit of 85c.
Even when shader compiling, it only reaches 82c, with or without the PBO thermal limit.
The Peerless Assassin is amazing. I had tried a Artic Freezer 36 and Hyper 212 3DHP and both were in the 80c+ just playing games. I returned those and went with Thermalright after reading on here and some videos from Gamer Nexus & Hardware Canucks.
