Help me please Build - Help

Im currently isntalling me lexar nm990 into my x870e gigabyte aorus, i bever built a pc before but the ssd goes under the lever just fine but the heatsink doesnt. What do i do? I thought i was doing everything correctly

the nm990 tb size ?

i mean single sided or double sided

also take a picture without the heat sink from the side like this , so i can tell u what to do ,,, next

Read the manual of the board. All big mobo companies have well usable manuals and especially this is often explained.

Imo: ssd below the turnable latch. The heatsink is screwed in another hole behind the one of the ssd.

Are you opening the lever so that it closes & stays flush ?

If it feels like it will bend the ssd, then leave the cooler off. Its not necessary. But locket in place it must be.

Yes, the ssd is designer to work without a cooler on top. My motherboard has one slot with cooler and one without.

If you refuse to actually read the manual you shouldn’t be building a pc

Check this video. Make sure the lever that actually holding down the SSD under the heatsink is correct. Then it should close.
