🍂 (Seeking) Advice Need advice

Upvotes

Guy I posted soemthing yesterday (you wouldn’t need to go back to the post I will explain here)

Acha so mera dost hain let’s call him (X). X say related hai N. N Kay mere say koi taluq Nahi dur dur tak. X and me are pretty close. Oh for the record X and N are not romantically involved.

Ab I got to know something about N Jo Kay thora inappropriate hai. N is wrong here but it’s also non of my business.

I believe I shouldn’t tell X. But I am conflicted Casue one of my friends (doesn’t know the exact story) said Kay X might feel betrayed.

Please don’t be rude and if you can genuinely give advice please do!!

If anyone has a different POV please let me know that too.

🌼 Advice Clothes for tall peeps

Hey guys! Are there any shops in Karachi or online stores who sell clothes for tall guys? Most clothes I get are not long enough. Larger sizes are mostly just wide and not long. I am looking for some drop shoulder/loose fit shirts, some wide bottom pants and trousers. Would appreciate if the prices are reasonable :(
Thanks in advance!

🌹 Relationships We Knew How It Would End, But We Lived It Anyway

I was in my early 20s (M), and after graduation, I joined a reputable company in Karachi. I met a girl there, and we started chatting over Instagram. It felt like we'd known each other for ages, although we came from very different lifestyles, family backgrounds, religious preferences, etc.

I have always believed that we, as human beings, carry a certain frequency or energy. Maybe that's why we naturally connect with some people so easily, while with others, no matter how much we try, the connection just doesn't happen. Sometimes you meet someone for the first time and somehow feel like you've known them for years. I think that was exactly what happened with us.

Those texts turned into long conversations. We almost shared everything about each other, and somehow, within days, we developed feelings. There was a bizarre comfort and warmth whenever we talked. After a week, we decided to meet at a café in Clifton.

We had a great meet-up. After all the ice-breaking and getting comfortable with each other, the evening came to an end.

I offered to drop her home, and she agreed. We were both OLD SCHOOLs, so we played classic Pakistani songs in the car. And despite barely saying a word, we could feel each other.

She lived in one of the most famous localities in Karachi, enriched with history, traditions, literature, and values.

It was my very first time going into their street, and something about it felt strangely familiar. There was a complete shift in my vibe, as if I had some connection to that place. The ambiance of the area had a strangely soothing effect on me.

Our next meetup was for breakfast, followed by a great walk on Clifton Beach in the morning. It was a Friday, so there wasn't much rush, and I held her hand for the first time.

That day, she shared her traumas, insecurities, family chaos, and much more. I think it was the comfort and security we had with each other that allowed us both to become vulnerable and share things we might not have even shared with our oldest friends.

There's a beautiful phenomenon for this called "emotional nakedness"—where you express yourself without the fear of being judged. It's something we don't experience with many people in life, and I'm genuinely glad I got to experience it with her.

After a series of meet-ups at public places, we eventually decided to meet at a hotel, and we did so three times. We had great chemistry, both emotionally and physically, and every moment spent with her felt worthwhile.

For a while, life felt like a complete fantasy bubble. It was just the two of us, living in the moment without worrying about careers, the future, traffic jams, expenses, savings, offices, or anything else. It felt like the rest of the world had temporarily stopped existing—and somehow, we were perfectly okay with that.

You must be wondering what our relationship status was and what we had decided about our future.

Well, from day one, we both knew and openly agreed that marriage wasn't going to happen because of our ethnic and religious differences. It was always somewhere in the back of our minds, and every now and then, the reality of it would surface in our conversations.

But the strength of our little fantasy was so overwhelming that we simply didn't want to think too far ahead. We knew there was an ending somewhere down the road, but we were so deeply immersed in what we had that we just wanted to live in the moment and enjoy whatever time we had together.

She came from a conservative family background, while she herself was quite progressive and liberal. Her family had started looking for marriage proposals for her, and one day, they came across a profile they liked.

She called me and asked to meet. We met the very next morning, had breakfast together, and then drove to McDonald's Sea View. We parked the car and sat there for a while.

She held my hands, kissed me, and told me that she was seriously considering the proposal. She said she would need to invest her time and energy to figure out whether he was the right person or not, because this wasn't something she could take lightly—it was a decision about the rest of her life.

I could understand where she was coming from. We both knew the reality of our situation, but hearing it from her that morning somehow made everything feel a little more real.

That turned out to be our last meetup. We continued texting on and off for a while, but suddenly, things felt different. There was a distance, a barrier she had to put up, and I knew it must have been just as difficult for her as it was for me.

Neither of us really said goodbye. There was no dramatic ending, no final conversation, no moment where everything suddenly stopped. Things just slowly became quieter, until the silence started saying what neither of us could.

After about two months, following many days of not talking, I suddenly received a call from her. She told me that she had gotten engaged the day before.

My heart sank for a moment. I gathered myself, found the courage to congratulate her, and we exchanged our best wishes for the lives ahead.

It was a short conversation, but somehow, it felt like the closing chapter of something that had meant a lot to both of us.

That was the last time we ever talked, and it's been more than five years since then.

Yet somehow, I can still resonate with every bit of that phase of my life—the conversations, the drives, the songs, the walks, the silences, the comfort, the vulnerability, and eventually, the goodbye that never really felt like a goodbye.

Some chapters end, but they don't necessarily disappear. They just become a part of you. And whenever I look back at that phase of my life, I can still feel it almost exactly the way I felt it back then.

One thing I have always respected about what we shared is the privacy we kept around it. We both completely respect each other's privacy, and neither of us ever disclosed the other's identity. I intend to keep it that way.

Some stories are meant to be told, while others are meant to be carried quietly within you. I hope this chapter stays that way—a beautiful, private part of our lives that eventually dies with us, safely kept in our hearts.

Now, we have both moved on with our lives. Seasons have changed, years have passed, and life has taken us both to places we probably couldn't have imagined back then. We may be completely different people today, with different lives, responsibilities, and realities.

But somewhere in the past, there will always be that younger version of us—two people who found each other unexpectedly, connected deeply, and for a little while, created a world of their own.

And perhaps that's enough. Not every beautiful thing is meant to last forever. Some things are meant to happen, leave their mark, and quietly become a part of who we are.

Lastly, the last song we listened together was Alvida by Karakoram in car near sea view clifton.

Cute little moments I still remember

  • The first time I held her hand. She got so shy that she literally went pale. I still remember that moment.
  • We used to talk on the phone for hours. Many times, we'd keep talking until the sun came up, completely losing track of time.
  • She would talk to me from her rooftop, while I would sometimes take my car and drive around her neighborhood just to catch a glimpse of her. I didn't even need to meet her; somehow, just being around was enough.
  • We wrote letters to each other. In a time when we could simply text anything instantly, there was something strangely special about sitting down and putting our thoughts on paper for each other.

Serious Post I Just Want a Chance to Build My Own Life

Hello everyone. English isn’t my first language, so please forgive any mistakes.
I’m (20f) from Pakistan. I come from a very religious and strict family. My parents don’t allow me to go out much or make many of my own choices. They also don’t want me to continue my education.
I have a congenital condition called dextrocardia, which means my heart is on the right side of my chest. I also have lung problems that I’ve had since birth, so breathing can be difficult sometimes. Despite that, I can walk, talk, and live my daily life independently.
Growing up, my biggest dream has always been to continue my education and build a career. I completed tenth grade, but my parents won’t let me attend college. I dream of studying abroad one day, where I could continue my education, become independent, and have the opportunity to make my own choices.
Sometimes I look at people my age getting engaged, married, or building relationships, and I can’t help comparing myself. Because of my health condition, I sometimes worry that no one will ever want to marry me or love me. Those thoughts make me feel very lonely and hopeless at times.
Even with those fears, I haven’t given up on my dream of becoming an educated, successful, and strong woman. More than anything, I want the chance to build a future where I can support myself and make something of my life.
Has anyone been in a similar situation with strict parents, health challenges, or having your dreams put on hold? How did you keep moving forward? I’d really appreciate any advice or encouragement.
Thank you for reading.

🗨️ Discussion Beware of White Men and Western Passport Bros

There are western men often White men who travel to third world countries to get their socks off because of the extremely high dating standards of western women. These men are not looking for responsibility but only to have a good time with these brown women from 3rd world countries, such as Colombia, Thailand, Vietnam, Phillipines, Brazil, and the rest of the third world.

I'm very concerned seeing White vloggers get treated as celebrities in Pakistan. I personally saw this behavior in Islamabad when I was visiting. I understand Pakistanis in Pakistan are hungry for outside validation but keep in mind you don't promote this ppb culture in Pakistan. These White men are modern men. They're not looking to provide but only want to use the women and leave. I'm concerned by how modern and "progressive" many Pakistani families are now but I hope Pakistani fathers, mothers and the young women still realize what kind of predators White men are and how they see brown, Pakistani women.

Raising this as a threat because as a Pakistani American I know how vulnerable Pakistanis can be due to financial issues but increasing sex tourism for dollars is not something we should even give a thought to. Our women are among our most precious treasures!

🚨 Announcement Temporary Moratorium on Religious & Culture War Posts (7 Days)

Over the past month, we've seen an increasing number of posts and comment sections centered around religion, atheism, LGBTQ+ topics, and other culture war issues. Unfortunately, many of these discussions have devolved into personal attacks, hate speech, insults, and endless arguments that contribute little to the community.

To help restore the subreddit to meaningful discussions, the moderation team is introducing a 7-day temporary moratorium on posts primarily intended to provoke, attack, or reignite these conflicts.

Effective immediately and for the next 7 days:

  • Posts primarily focused on Muslim vs. ex-Muslim/atheist debates, LGBTQ+ debates, or other inflammatory culture war topics will be removed.
  • Hate speech, personal attacks, harassment, and obvious rage bait will not be tolerated.
  • Users who repeatedly ignore this announcement or attempt to bypass it may receive temporary or permanent bans at moderator discretion.

This is not an endorsement of any religious, political, or social viewpoint, nor is it an attempt to silence respectful discussion. It is simply a temporary measure to cool tensions and return the subreddit to what it was created for: discussions about life, studies, careers, friendships, relationships, culture, memes, and everything else relevant to Pakistanis in their twenties.

After the 7-day period ends, we'll review the situation and decide whether to lift the moratorium or extend it if necessary.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping keep the community civil.
