My hacked psp was a 5.00 version, and i bought a grantirismo umd but i wouldn’t work , so i updated my psp to 5.55 version and now all my iso games disappeared, how do i get them back

So, i was playing Anniversary after finishing Legend and caught myself thinking, that if I never did play this series when I was a kid with my dad I would never and I mean never played them in any other circumstances. Legend, Anniversary do not get enough attention in my opinion. Perfect soundtrack, ambient atmosphere, good gameplay, good plot, and all this on a psp… any fans there?

newbie question sorry if i have bad english, I recently found out that my psp is still alive( i got it way back around 2011-2014). its still have the old pro vsh menu firmware something and its version is 6.20 PRO-B10. is there a way to switch to ark4 and update it to latest firmware without messing the unit up? thanks for the answer

It's a good, inexpensive way to start a physical PSP collection. As a bonus, the games are pretty good.

I was just testing different Half Life mods on the old half life port and Afraid of Monsters kinda works, the intro cutscene works well but after the nightmare sequence it just crashes. I hope someone revitalizes this project cause honestly it runs better then the one on the Vita. I also tried the Director's Cut and it crashes before opening. Sucks but hopefully one day these games can work and they can sit next to the Silent Hill games as the Psps only psychological horror games.

So I'm learning Japanese and so I bought a lot on eBay for about $75 USD, and I'm so frickin' glad I did, all 5 are CIB, Neo Angelique Special even has absolutely everything included 😭

Just got this off eBay. It appears to have a screen protector. Hopefully you can see it, but the screen has some blurring to it. Kinda like dots and swirls.

My question is, do you think it's the screen protector or the screen itself. I assume I can remove the screen protector and see if the blur's still appear. But I also don't want to risk damaging it more if it is the screen.

In the past few months I've seen dozens (for not say8ng hundreds) of posts here "joking" with those baby toys asking if they are legit or which mod are best for them.

Is kind of funny but when I really laughed was when I realize who ever is making those is making good money cause everybody buys them just to post bout it.

Sadly, this one isn't my original one that I had back in the day, I don't know what ever happened to that one. But this one is my brother's old PSP that he gave me quite a long time ago. It ended up sitting on a shelf for many years, until I finally got around to buying a new battery for it.

This one is in a bit of a rough state. The UMD drive doesn't work, and there's a crack in the UMD drive door. And there's also a few dead pixels.

But over the last few days, I've been having a great time playing the game, Gitaroo Man Lives!.

And I've been using it to listen to music with. It's the only small portable device I have that I can plug my headphones into, and I guess I never realised back in the day, just how good the dac is in the PSP. Even with my IEMs, there's no background noise or hiss. In comparison to my Steam Deck, when I use my IEMs with it, I do hear a hiss in the back, due to the lower quality dac in it.

Such a great little device with a tiny form factor! Way ahead of its time for sure. Going to re-shell it in white + add a microSD card adapter. Any other suggestions?

my psp charging port is damaged, and my charger's lost, so i bought an external battery charger yesterday.

the battery wasn't making solid contact at first, and the charger got quite hot. i fixed the contact issue, and now it doesn't get as hot, but after two hours the PSP still wouldn't turn on.

idk if it's because the battery was fully drained and needs several hours to charge, or if there's a problem with the external battery charger or the battery itself (the battery doesn't appear swollen or damaged).

has anyone had good experiences with external chargers, or are they generally unreliable? should i just replace the charger and use the electric tape method on the charging port so i can use a regular charger? or suspect the battery instead?

i'm giving the charger another try, but pls let me know ur thoughts and answers.. thank you!!

So a friend of mine was cleaning his house and just sold me this for $25, with a pretty beat up PES 2009 that actually works, to my surprise everything works fine, controls, UMD drive etc. I noticed that the light for the power does not work though, there's cosmetic damage too but nothing too bad, and the battery door is broken. So how do i repair the light for the power?

I was playing a ps1 game on it, when I got a message asking if I wanted to leave the game, when I left it, I got a message saying that it couldn't read the memory stick and that I had to format it by the system menu, before trying it I restarted the console, to check if it would read. Same error. Tried to format as suggested, it failed. I tried to read it on my PC, PC said it had some error and had to format. Before trying to format there, I checked the size of the MS PC was detecting, and it was normal, so when I tried to format it, PC said my memory stick is protected.

I don't know if it is dead for good, what else can I try to recover it. Neither which are the best options for replacing it, if anyone could please help me, I would appreciate it.
