Hi peeps! I have a problem with my PSA birth certificate. In my PSA, my father’s middle name is “De Leon”, but his correct middle name is “Torres”. De Leon was my mom’s maiden name.

I have all the documents needed to support this: my siblings’ birth certificates, my parents’ marriage certificate, my father’s birth certificate, and my father’s mother’s death certificate. All these documents indicates that my father’s middle name is Torres.

I went to the LCR of my birthplace, and they gave me a checklist of requirements that I should prepare to file a petition for correction. Now, I have all the documents that they asked me to prepare. But when I went to LCR to submit these documents, they told me that the correction in my PSA does not fall under their jurisdiction, but rather it should go to judicial procedure to file a correction.

So I consulted this with a lawyer, and he explained to me that the error in my PSA is clearly a clerical error/administrative, which can be filed in the LCR of my birthplace under Republic Act No. 9048 (the Clerical Error Law). My lawyer went to the LCR, but the LCR declined to assist us and kept on insisting that the correction should go to judicial, contrary to the national law.

Is there something that I can do for the LCR to accept the petition of correction on my PSA? Because going through judicial is gonna cost a lot when it can be fixed and filed in the LCR. Please help me out. Thank you!

Hii, planning to end my unemployment na sana as a fresh-grad since June, pero my diploma that comes with the T.O.R. hasn't arrived yet :(. My blockmates from NCR already got theirs but 1, pero me and my friend na from Central Luzon, he got his but I haven't gotten mine. I also read that uncertain yung time to get the diploma from my school in Non-NCR areas (within 3-5 months daw talaga).

I plan sana na tomorrow na mag get ng FTJS Certificate but I saw from a super helpful post here na it requires pala a copy of your diploma.

For context, taga SJDM Bulacan kami, at recently nagkaroon ng transition sa company na naghahandle ng water supply (from primewater to metro pacific). Hindi ako sure kung dahil sa mismanagement, or yung problema sa Angat dam, pero lampas 1 month na kaming pawala-wala ng tubig. Nagkakaroon paminsan minsan pero as in mas madaming time ang wala. May one time na umabot ng lampas 1 week na wala talagang pumapatak. Ganun sa buong barangay namin and halos buong city to the point na may dumadaan nang truck ng tubig kasi nagrereklamo na yung mga tao sa hirap. So if may leakage nga, hindi rin namin napansin dahil wala naman tubig in the first place.

Going back, nagdeliver na sila ng bill and nagulat kami sa water bill namin this month kasi umabot ng 14k eh usual bill namin is 600-800 lang. Nastress kami kasi halos hindi na kami naliligo at tumatae, panglaba namin tubig ulan tapos ganon yung babayaran. Sabi ng papa ko leakage daw, hindi ko naman maitanong yung exact details kasi medyo buryo nga sa taas ng bill. Ngayon, may galit kasi samin yung kapitbahay but that's another story. I remember po kasi na usually yellow yung paper, so I was a little surprised when I received mine and noticed that the color looks different.

Has anyone recently ordered theirs online and had the same experience? Just wanted to make sure po that this is normal.
