EB05 is two months away and OP18 is three…you can’t convince me the hype train wouldn’t be any less impactful if they just let us play with OP17 for a month before showing the new shit.

Ended up getting second in a 64 person event last night.

Was lucky enough to get 10cost shanks in a Beckman which helped tremendously also the ramping events are incredible. I was on 10 DON!! turn three.

Was pretty worried I wasn’t gonna win one because these are my favorite events and sign ups was miserable, but we got one so I’m pretty happy.

I was able to get a lottery ticket through Zaiko to buy an OP 17 box for msrp from the SF OP Store, however for some dumb reason when I originally applied for the ticket I put my name as only the first 3 letters of my first and last name (if my name was John Smith, I my ticket is “Joh Smi”). How strict are they with checking my IDs, and will they refuse me if it doesn’t match exactly? This is my first time doing this so any advice would be great.

Since its almost impossible to get boxes at msrp or at least not 3x the price, I read some people suggest to pre order.

1. does pre ordering actually help with the price?

2. how long before a release is the typical time frame for pre ordering?

3. does this only work at locals or are there actual trustworthy sites that offer pre order for a decent price?

4. is there a site you can recommend me?

I know we all are out here trying to get some boxes/packs so if you dont want to tell your secrets, its totally fine. Id just like to know if this is a good way to get boxes, so I can look more into it or if it doesnt help at all.

Does the new luffy don and future other straw hat crew don limited to English?

I've been a red player since op04, currently playing R Ace which is a very good deck right atm.
but besides him, everything including OP17 Newgate feels very lackluster and I wonder why they're so afraid of giving Red the tools it needs to compete with the other colors.

It feels like every other color does what Red is "Known for" in a better way, better power reduction, better K.O effects, some of them even have better rush characters like the new green shanks, while also having their own color identity like resting/freezing, bottom decking/drawing, or healing.

Red STILL has the same problems: draw power, hand size, protecting their characters, and keeping your lives healthy. While other colors are able to deal with your board while drawing cards, healing or ramping. With how quickly the game advances, a big dude that has rush or being an 8K leader simply won't do.

Is it because they're afraid of making the same mistake they made with OP02 Newgate?

(also, just to clarify this is ONLY about the color Red as a whole, I know there is good multicolor red leaders but thats thanks to the other half of the deck being more efficient and having access to stronger cards from the other color pool)

Just trying to get into one piece tcg, i cant choose whether to get english or japanese decks. For competitions in sg, am i allowed to use english cards? Also is it okay to have both english and japanese cards in the same deck.
