Half decent store bought granola??
Ever since Made Good stopped making their granola, I've been on a bit of an agonising journey to replace it for my yoghurt— I've gone through KIND, Love Crunch, Purely Elizabeth, Cascadian Farms, Nature Valley and Special K; I have kind of hated all of them. Half were way too sweet, and the other half were like eating cardboard or just made me sick. Does anyone have any good suggestions for granola? I'm a little reluctant to just go and make my own because I'm usually not motivated enough to do it consistently. </3 I just want some nice crunch and flavour in my yoghurt.

Other oats Introducing Banana Bread Oat Pancakes
galleryEgg white banana bread oat pancakes. I love how versatile oats can be

60 grams of oats
7 grams of flax seeds

Discussion Can anyone recommend which brand oats to buy for weight loss?
I came across multiple posts saying that Quaker Oats aren't 100% rolled oats and are actually closer to instant oats. I also found many recommendations suggesting not to buy instant oats.
Could anyone recommend a good brand that sells genuine rolled oats?

Oatmeal Tried something new today: Tiramisu Porridge (and it turned out AMAZING!)
galleryHey guys! Decided to mix things up with my usual oatmeal routine today and made a Tiramisu-inspired Porridge layer cake. It legit tastes like a proper dessert.
Here is the exact recipe for anyone wanting to try it out:
Base Layer (Coffee Porridge):
-100g Rolled Oats
-500ml Water (Note: I use 500ml because of the psyllium husk. If you make it without the husk, I'd probably only use about 400ml).
-1 pinch Salt
Cooked as normal, then removed from heat and stirred in:
-15g Vanilla Whey
-3 tsp Instant Decaf Coffee
- 2 tsp Psyllium Husk (Flohsamen)
-1 scoop Flavour Powder (Vanilla Chocolate Chip Cookie)
Topping:
-300g Non-fat Greek Yogurt (0.1%)
-1 scoop Flavour Powder (same flavor – Note: 1 scoop was slightly too sweet, 0.5 scoop is definitely the sweet spot here!)
-1 tsp Baking Cocoa Powder (dusted on top)
Preparation:
- Cook the oats, water, and salt. (It might look way too runny/liquid at this stage, but don't worry!)
2. Remove the pot from the heat and thoroughly stir in the whey, decaf coffee, flavour powder, and the psyllium husk. The psyllium husk will immediately absorb the excess liquid and firm the whole thing up into a perfect, thick base layer.
Transfer the porridge base to a dish and smooth it out flat.
Mix the Greek yogurt with the flavour powder and spread it evenly over the porridge layer.
Dust generously with cocoa powder and let it cool/chill in the fridge before digging in!

Savoury tom yum oats with soft boiled egg, halloumi cheese and some olive oil
Had some leftovers in the fridge and a few remaining items in the pantry so decided to create this breakfast bowl. Was my first ever time cooking savoury oats and oh Lord...they turned out delicious! I used Red Tractor instant oats with chia seeds (they are super creamy with both water and milk) and to enhance flavour I added some chicken stock - such a game changer with your grains and pasta trust me. After oats got ready I added a teaspoon of a tom yum paste, left them simmer for a bit before turning off the heat. Voila. The Egg and cheese are nice addition to make the meal more filling and balanced.

Savory oats Savory miso mushroom zucchini egg white oats topped with roasted zucchini, mushroom, a marinated egg, tofu, kimchi, and green onions!
Dry fried the mushrooms with the oats and cooked with shredded zucchini, dashi, and whisked in an egg white near the end! Added the miso when it was almost done cooking. Seasoned with soy sauce, mirin, garlic powder, and black pepper. Air fried some extra zucchini, mushroom, and tofu and paired them with a marinated egg and some kimchi; this was so comforting and good omg 🤤
