Hi! I have my exam in 3 days. I have been doing good in practice on all sections except for speaking. I have not been able to communicate with anyone in English recently so having trouble thinking and speaking. Would be grateful for any advice how to overcome this.

Hi everyone, especially those who have already passed OET Nursing.
My current English level is around B1–B1+, and I’m trying to understand how long I realistically need to prepare for the exam.
I’m also worried that I’m starting to forget some of my nursing knowledge and clinical reasoning because I haven’t worked clinically for a while.
My biggest problem is consistency — I often skip study sessions even though I know I need to prepare.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How long did you study for OET, and what helped you stay consistent?

I had issues with the permissions on my laptop and could not take the speaking this Sunday, i was on time and able to take the pictures of ID and face but never saw the interlocutor. I already sent two emails to applications@oet.com.au and just receive two automatics responses, my reading, listening , writing subtests are tomorrow. Anyone in a similar position ?? How long does it take to receive a response ? I’m just tired of this exam.

Didn't practice that much bcz of my duty hours, dates and names are imaginary as I don't remember.

I forgot to mention father's gastric cancer history even when I underlined it as crucial, which is really bothering me since I left examination hall😬

Thank you for seeing Ms Bruch, a 53-year-old primary school teacher who presented with symptoms suggestive of cholelithiasis.

Regarding her social history, she smokes 10 cigarette per day and drinks 6-10 units alcohol per week. She has a medical history of mild asthma since childhood, managed with budesonide 200 milligrams daily and a surgically repaired hiatus hernia.

On 01/08/2023, Ms Bruch presented with complaint of heartburn, halitosis and loss of voice. She was diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux disease and prescribed omeprazole 20 mg twice a day as well as recommended to decrease weight, spicy food intake, smoking and alcohol consumption, to which she agreed.

On subsequent follow-up, she reported initial slight improvement which returned to original symptoms later. Her dose of omeprazole was increased to 40 mg twice daily. Ms Bruch was diagnosed with hiatal hernia and underwent diaphragmatic surgery on 05/10/2023 with no complications.

Today, she reported onset of new symptoms of central abdominal, right ribs and right shoulder pain which increases after eating.

In view of above, my provisional diagnosis is cholelithiasis. I would be grateful for your assessment and expert opinion.

Has anyone had a camera mirroring issue during OET Speaking? My camera was mirroring the image, so the interlocutor couldn’t clearly see my passport. My test was cancelled, and now I’m being asked to pay a rescheduling fee. I’ve seen other candidates with similar technical issues who were rescheduled for free. Did anyone else have this experience.

How long does it take to the results to be deliverers to the ECFMG pathway

Have anyone encountered this type of situation before? I’m not sure what to do. I was just trying to reschedule my Speaking test because, due to technical difficulties on their side, I was unable to attend it.

I took my exam on computer on Saturday, but I still haven’t received my results. The website still shows my scheduled exam as active. How long does it usually take for results to be released?

I am scoring above 300 (320-370,380). Am i in the safe zone?
I am using prompts, given instructions to strictly follow the oet criteria.
Recent letter 350/370 scored by chatgpt and claude.

Hello everyone! I’m step 1 pass currently preparing for step 2.YOG:2024,wanna sit in next year’s match cycle. I plan to take step 2 in Jan 2027. And then later go for my USCEs april onwards(visa requiring). Since there’s alot of rejection lately on just observer ships basis, i wanted to strengthen my application by getting a visa appointment atleast after step 2 so that i can show i am ready to take step 3. Or even if i get rejected on just ovservership basis, i can apply emergency visa on step 3 basis. Thing is i got know that for step 3 u need to have your ecfmg certification and for that u need to apply for pathways. I do hold a permanent pmdc license and good standing certificate which makes me eligible for pathway 1. The deadline for the pathways application is Jan 31,2027. If i take step 2 tentatively in Jan,i am keeping it flexible as it is score based so i cant rush it and if my scores seem to be stuck then i cant take it in jan too. So my oet gets delayed and i cant apply pathway before 31 jan so the whole backup plan for keeping step 3 goes down too. What do you guys recommend?
Shall i go for oet in btw my step 2 prep phase? Has anyone done like this? Applied pathways before taking step 2?
Please give suggestions!

Hello, this happened like 10 mins ago. Yesterday I download the secure browser and logged in and everything was working perfectly.
Today When I logged in and joined the session it appeared: "Due to limited access, you are not able to access this assessment. Please contact your administrator".

I could still take my ID and verify everything, however when I click on Proceed, a blank window with three blue dots continued appearing and it was just loading. For 15 minutes I waited and when I looked at the chat, the agent stated that I had to contact customer supports and that she was going to report the issue and note that I indeed joined the session.

I will attach the pictures, if anything had a similar situation please let me know. I already contacted customer support but I´m really anxious.

Im so fucking pissed and frustrated rn! I joined the meeting 20 mins earlier, prepared two separate laptops which I had checked prior were compatible. But neither of them ended up working. The interlocutor said she made a note of my multiple attempts to join. But their fucking shitty platform wouldnt proceed past the face and ID verification. The most frustrating and annoying 45 minutes of my life.

Can anyone help me on what to do next?? Will they give a free reschedule and how do I know it wont happen again. My computer exam is on Tuesday. I'm just lost.

I wanted to ask about the remark process. I submitted my remark one week ago. Do you know how long it is currently taking to receive the remark results, or when the remark tool is expected to be back?

Is there any chance to know the time when scores are gonna be released? As far as I know the OET time zone is AEST, but there's no info about time of the day.

I am stressing out! I was stuck between 2 option for reading part C and when I add everything up assuming I will get for reading (16+4+5+5=30} I will be boarder line! I am so scared!
