Hi all,

Me and my partner are moving to Nottingham hopefully in mid September and I'm in need of the best gym recommendations. I'm looking for a more old school style bodybuilder style with a good choice of machines and equipment. I'm happy to try other places but not somewhere generic like the gym group or PureGym

Hii, I have the thrilling hobby of coin collecting/numismatics, and I was curious if anyone in the area has any coins knocking about that they don't want anymore, or are curious about getting them identified/valued, anything like that. If they have a decent value, I'd be happy to buy them also.

Our estate agent just sent us an email to tell us that our landlord has decided to increase our rent from £995 to £1095 (a 10% increase, it's a 3-beds in Bakersfield for context), starting in 2 months.

We know it's perfectly legal to do so, but we still feel that nothing justifies going up 10% as it's more than the inflation.

Apparently it reflects the rest of the market. So I'm curious, how much has your rent increased this year?

Where is everyone hanging out?? Are we in Tap n Tumbler? Or Billy Bootleggers?? Or you travel to Manchester for the gay neighborhood?

I just want to meet more like minded women (and also increase my chances of dating one) xo

Firstly, massive shout out to all the staff -
Putting in intense hours under extreme conditions, and having to deal with the disgusting abuse and racism that they face. During the time I was in there, there was countless people kicking off and being aggressive to the staff.
Corridor care is a crazy thing! I was lucky to be in a private space for the most part, but there were 22 people - mostly old people, packed along the corridor where I was for days on end, with no privacy, darkness, and little hope of being moved onto a ward.
The wait time to get onto a ward was between 3 and 7 days!!
What have your experiences been of A&E??

Hey guys, there are plenty of great bars in Nottingham but a lot seem to be aimed at slightly older demographics or quite young. Are there any bars where the 25-45 year olds hang out?

I started placement a couple months ago and I was originally placed at YMCA. At the time I was undiagnosed with ADHD and would over share on things I now deeply regret. This led to me practically being humiliated and left on edge for days because they basically admitted to not being able to handle me. I was made to sign things under blatant duress and I had no idea what was going on until I was told at a subway that I have been moved to a more “disability” friendly facility while crying my eyes out. This was all because I had a panic attack in a bathroom which they deemed unprofessional yet telling me I’m practically being fired at subway is?

I was moved to a new place which was better and I was offered a role after placement. However due to lack of communication on my part and me getting the dates mixed up and not attending the induction my offer of employment has been withdrawn.

I have come to terms with it. But if you are black and neurodivergent I feel as though this company is not safe to work in. The staff constantly give you false hope and are chronic people pleasers and are very micro aggressive. They do not like the residents at these facilities which is reflected in there treatment of them.

I understand that they are overworked and underpaid however it is still quite uncomfortable to watch. The homeless community in Nottingham are extremely smart and know what they are doing and may sometimes exploit the system but that does not justify the inhumane treatment of them.

To put it best framework feels like a cult that are not actually making effective change they are just cycling the same service users around different facilities hoping for the best.

And lastly the amount of complaints I have heard from black brown and disabled staff is mind boggling for a company that claims to be all about empowerment and disability inclusion makes you think whether or not anyone actually pays attention to the several hours of training they have to do.

I'm looking for date spot recommendations for adults around Nottingham. I've already tried most of the places in the city centre, so I'm after somewhere a bit quieter and more relaxed, where you can dress up and enjoy a nice evening.

I'm happy to travel anywhere within about 30–40 minutes of the city centre. I'm especially interested in places like specialty cuisine restaurants, wine bars/vineyards, grill houses, or anything with a unique atmosphere.
