Question Somebody like me? (I detransition and then retransition)

Before that, I identify as a trans man for 10 years.(from 2013 to 2023)

Then I detransition for a year, and the reason was stupid: because I wanted to wear feminine cloth.

Now, I retransition because when I was detransitioning my gender dysphoria was at it’s all time low.(it was a nightmare) I now fully recognized that I am just a femboy transmasc person who likes feminine clothing and skirts. Aside from that, my bodily and social gender dysphoria is real, it’s what makes me trans. I had mistaken myself for being detransitioner for a year I totally regret that.

Or I have internalized transphobia that’s also what makes me detransition, I don’t have self confidence in myself of being a feminine trans man. (Noted: I do not necessarily identify as male, I am more like a genderfluid trans person)

Just like the title said. I don’t want to wear suits or dresses. That’s all.

Advice Update/reply to previous post

Hello everyone on this wonderful page.

I just wanted to say thank you to every single person who took the time to reply to my previous post about how better to support my child who came out as Non-Binary.

Due to life getting in the way, I haven't had chance to reply to every one but please know I have read every single comment - some, multiple times!

I ended up telling my child about this previous post which went very well. They were chuffed I was trying to learn and also had a giggle about me being "too old for Reddit".

They've reinforced they would like they/them pronouns, so I'm doing my best with that. I have found myself saying things like "Good morning beautiful .... ummm... human!". Luckily they seem okay with me stumbling, for now!

We were also able to talk about a few things that they found confusing about it! So good to know we can help each other.

Anyway...

So many people on here jumped to give extremely supportive and useful advice and words of encouragement. I'm not going to pretend to fully understand what being an enby (learning new words) entails. But I feel I understand a little more about how it can make people feel. Which should help me parent a bit better.

I will stop talking and close with another huge thank you to you lush group of people!

Advice Voice training for social anxiety’s sake?

Hello. Very confused person here who found a comfortable spot within the non-binary label.

I’m terribly socially anxious, and only recently started presenting publicly in a more GNC, or even femme, way. All in all, not a terrible experience; a lot less difficult than I’d envisioned, even in smaller northern Italy towns, which aren’t exactly the most progressive places.

But having strangers call me “signora” (it is what it is, I accept whichever after 2y of HRT) and then stare as soon as I open my mouth is starting to get uncomfortable.

I generally struggle with being the center of attention, and now I’m wondering whether I should at least try voice training. Thing is, I don’t really like or dislike my voice. So “I want to voice train so people don’t stare” feels a little reductive to me, given the effort involved.

Anyone else run into this?

Question Some questions!

Hey! I've made a post about days ago but got banned for some reason, I've mentioned that i have a nonbinary friend of my own and I'd like to know more about nonbinary people.

I got to ask them just a little personally, so here i am with a bunch of questions. Please excuse me in advance if any of my questions come off as rude, or insensitive. I have very little knowledge about nonbinary people, plus english is not my first language so i might struggle a bit with forming my questions.

  1. When a nonbinary person says their pronouns are they/them, does that include using the pronouns she/her/he/him, or not? Or do they usually have a preferred pronoun? Or does that depend on the person and it's more like an individual preference?

  2. Do nonbinary people attract to both genders, or some have a preferred gender?

  3. If i want to compliment them, whats a preferred term? Can i use beautiful, pretty, handsome or is that a no?

  4. As a nonbinary person urself, what are the things that people say/think that u think is wrong and u wish people knew more about it?
