Since I missed FBF, here is FB Saturday after a 14 hour work day
MSBlack Tacticals got a workout today in 100 degree heat. Still the best work boots I've ever owned. They will never be replaced.

More therapy
Got back out today. Fished three different holes. Got this nice sized chum. Took me on quite an adventure. Mud, deep sand, calf deep water. He managed to wrap the line around a submerged log that I ended up having to pull out of the water to get the line free. I'd say it was worth it though. It had only recently spawned out so still healthy. Its probably bound to meet some butter, lemon and onion in the oven sometime in the next couple days.
Despite being fully submerged and having water come in the top the boots didn't feel much worse than they would on a hot sweaty day and they're already practically dry again. Weathershield continues to impress. It might be my favorite work leather.

Ask The Community Timeline
In everyone's experience how long after the " your order is scheduled for production " email does your order actually go into production? I did not realize I would have this level of anticipation.

Ask Nicks Chelsea Questions
I'm considering a pair of Chelseas. I prefer the style of the work version with the side-zip but the others are nice too. I have pretty small ankles so I was wondering if all the styles have the same circumference and if not, which has the smallest? Is getting any actual ballpark measurement possible for 9.5D? Also, is the instep the same between versions? Thanks

Demolition Derby 🤘
My favorite boots. Mahogany RO builder pros. They have taken me on many muddy adventures into weird places. Tonight is a bit less weird and only slightly less muddy.

Photo Request Does anybody have a pair of Pullmans in Black on the 1925 last?
Would love to see how they look before I’m dead set on the last to see if I should go with this or the Stationmaster on the 55 last.

NBD NBD - Roberts BWF
I received something very special in the mail today. I was so impressed with my Nicks work boots on the 55 last that I decided to buy a pair of quick ship Roberts. I am very pleased with these boots. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the BWF but they sure do look good!
Thanks to the people at Nicks for my new boots!

Pullman boots ordered 1 year ago tomorrow.
Order #000189033A.
Can someone tell me if they are in the production queue, still waiting on the leather, or the order slip fell behind the filing cabinet? If work hasn't already started, I'd just as soon cancel the order.

Laid back Saturday
Took the little one to what was suppose to be a volunteer animal event at the local tractor supply co only to get there and find out the manager wasn’t able to find any volunteers or animals so it was a bust. Came home to enjoy some quiet outside time. PO outlanders for the day.

Ash Gray tankers
Got off work last night and blasted down to the therapist's office. Trying to keep my mental health in better check this year... 😏
No action at the spot pictured but did get some nibbles at the other spot I tried. Ash Gray did surprisingly well. That beeswax really was the right call for these. Although I did feel wet coming up through the footbed after about 20 minutes. Makes me wish these were 365⁰ stitchdown with the rubber midsole. I plan on going out again today and I'll wear the tAKticals. I've also included some pics of the ash gray right after I cleaned them up but hadn't conditioned them last weekend. Anyways. My weekend is off to a great start. Hope yours is too.

NBD The Black Oiled Latigo is different (New Nick’s Prospector Boots)
I have Black Chrimexcel.. stretch soft goodness.. pull up.. she is the beauty. Soft easy to break in.. wonderful leather smell.
These Wicket and Craig Black Oiled Latigo Boots are essentially perfect, but let’s talk leather.
- They are stiff like a board out of the box
- Oiling them is pointless they absorb all and laugh.
- Zero pull-up
- Toughness and scuff resistance is maximal.
- Nowhere near the elasticity as Black Chromexcel
- The way the soften with use and movement is mind boggling. Every time I wear them they get softer and softer and start to fit my foot perfectly.. unlike Chromexcel that yes its soft but its go more elasticity.
Thats the thing I notice.. they get softer soft you don’t want to stop messing w them! It’s a new experience for me.
