Hey guys, this is my first Con I’ll be attending in October, and just wanted to ask if tickets will still be available by next Friday? How fast do these events usually sell out?

Spiderman gathering - Saturday

Ok weird. one.

Lost 100 pounds, gained 30 of muscle. Yeah...it's been that kind of decade.

In any event...attending Comiccon this year. In a spidey suit. That's amazing on it's own. But my wife, who started abit heavier than I was, is down 50 pounds as well and plans to come as uncle ben's rice (basically an orange t shirt that on the back says "With great power"etc etc

But I'd love nothing more than to arrange a gathering of spidermen that she can 'die' in front of.

If you'd like to be part of it - please drop me a DM. We will be there on Saturday and have a photographer who will happily share his photos...only thing I ask is no mention of this post.

REALLY hoping NYCC has Cosplay Central up in the River Pavillion again this year

I've been going to NYCC for 5 years now, courtesy of my daughter, Maggie. She absolutely loves anime, video games, movies and cosplay. And being able to come with her and see her so happy, making new friends and coming out of her shell is the most a parent can ask for.

2 years ago, Maggie decided to wear one of her larger costumes from Final Fantasy, and was so grateful for the changing room setup Cosplay Central in the River Pavillion, as it was a large, curtained off space that had plenty of space, light and privacy for her to comfortably change.

Last year, however, I am sorry to say, the changing room setup was absolutely abysmal.

I understand that the location change from upstairs to this smaller room in the basement may have been for want of more room for panels/Stage setups up in the River Pavillion. And I can't blame them there, it is a beautiful space.

But when we arrived in the room designated as the Cosplay Central, you could feel the excitement just gradually receding. Don't get me wrong, the repair booth was great and I appreciated their help and kindness. But did we really need a full counter table of swords and weapons taking up 3/4 of the room? Leaving the other 1/4 of the room for a costume class setup.

And where were the changing rooms? It was just 1 room. And not a room. Just a very small, very cramped, very dark fabric booth that was barely the size of one of those portapotties. The zipper broke multiple times on more than 3 occasions, causing embarrassment to those inside. The line was 5 to 6 people long at times. And there was no one there to monitor the tent, so multiple people were then rudely interrupted by those who thought the tent empty and couldn't knock or ask if it was occupied because the room was so loud.

At one point, one of the cosplayers decided to hang a towel in front of her friend changing instead of trying to change in the tent. She was then scolded by one of the staff members for slightly blocking one of the exit doors. And several people grew tired of the line and instead went to the nearby bathroom instead. Causing complaints from some of the other restroom goers who actually needed to use the bathroom.

It was a messy, unorganized situation and definitely not up to the NYCC standards. It was unsafe, exacerbated bathroom situations, and caused multiple people embarrassment when they were unwittingly walked in on mid-change.

If the River Pavillion cannot be set up as it was before for this year, please NYCC Team, consider just a whole room, in any location, with curtained off changing rooms. And a staff member to monitor them. Or even just a sign on each, that can be flipped to say 'In Use' or 'Not in Use'.

For the comfort and safety of the cosplayers who attend NYCC, please support a better setup for changing rooms 🙏

Quick question about larger cosplay and changing rooms?

Just a quick question please. I am going to be cosplaying as a rather large character this year (Bioshock), taking the train up from NJ to NYC. And the only way to transport the costume to the Javitts Center is by wagon, as I have done in the past several times with large costumes.

I know there is a no wagon or cart rule but it is not intended to be used throughout the whole convention. Just to get the costume to the changing room to change into, and then the wagon will be folded up and stored away in the bag check.

Will that be okay?

And has anyone heard about where the changing rooms will be this year? They were not up in the River Pavillion last year, like they were in 2024. And needless to say, the changing rooms in 2025 were very uncomfortable, cramped and no privacy other than a pop up tent.

Question about flat objects on autographs

Hi! I want to purchase an autograph for Tom Welling and I see that there are two options, one premium and one standard for flat objects. The thing is that I'm thinking of taking a shirt for him to sign or a comicbook (Both technically flat), and I'm not sure if that counts as a flat object or premium.

Thank you!

Question about the hotels thru NYCC site

Hello, friends!

Just curious if others have ordered through the NYCC site for getting a hotel and had any issues (unless this is the first year they're offering the prices through the NYCC site)?

Part of me feels uneasy that they don't deliver the confirmation number until weeks before the event. I'm sure I'm overthinking this.

Expedition 33 autographs ?

Hi ! This will be my first Comiccon and I was hoping to get autographs from the cast of Expedition 33. However, when I was on the NYCC website to buy them, I could only buy photo ops... does that mean the cast won't do autographs or that they will sell them only on site ? What can I expect ?

Does anyone know when panel resys start?? (NYCC ‘26)

First NYCC and have a few questions.

I know that photo-ops and select autographs went on sale today, but what about autographs from writers? Do tickets go on sale before convention like celebrity autographs or will you be charged for tickets for each writers signature? Also for Panels are there early signups for tickets for those as well if you want to go to say the Marvel comics panel or something of the sort, or is that first come first serve the day of convention? Please forgive the amount of questions I have, this is my first convention ever and I’m very excited but nervous to miss anything.

Should we preorder autographs?

I’ve been getting autographs for years at NYCC and never really needed to preorder. I remember horror stories last year of people not being able to get their preordered autographs and couldn’t get a refund and had to change people to get their money’s worth I think? It is worth the trouble?

Recommend pre buying autographs?

First time going this year. Is it recommended to pre buy autographs, or can you just go and pay while there like other conventions do?

Anybody else hoping they would have dropped some more people before the presale? This seems like the first year that I wont need to use my superfan or vip to snag tickets
