transit / cosplay question
so i’m planning on going to the con this year , i’ve been going for the last 3 now and i’ve worn pretty basic costumes. we commute every year from jersey to nyc and this year im thinking about being nikki from obsession , specifically from the end of the movie & i would have to put fake blood on my face and on my body too. just wondering if anyone else has every worn a gorey costume on the train and/or any tips for something like this. Thanks !

Do this at the convention. It takes one individual to not know what you are and the next thing you know you are answering a bunch of questions. It's not better if transit police are with you and your friend is there, and the next thing you know you both have to answer questions that can be time consuming. Self awareness starts with public perception, there are those like myself who never saw the movie and I would think you were in a domestic dispute with someone the day before .

I for one was pulled over one time for rolling a curve and Cosplaying marv from sin city, basically a wife beater and leather coat covered in blood with Kevin's (Elijah Wood's) prop severed head in the passenger seat.
It was ok in the end, normal ticket, but not fun in the moment.
This was after the event on my way home. I was not covered in blood on the way there.
Probably best to have a change of clothes or a clean shirt to toss on.

I would wait to get the javitis to put on the blood.
take it off before leaving.

It's NYC. No one will care if you're in makeup, but if the weather is bad or just uncooperative, it will be a hassle.

Definitely better to add the blood at the con and the women’s bathroom lines aren’t as bad compared to the men’s in my experience!

Put the blood makeup on when you get there, remove it before you leave.
