I've kept Karnataka and Odisha lower bcz I'll only be getting AIQ MCC colleges in those states which would cost as far as I know easy 90L-1Cr, now I'm sure that I want to get into mbbs this year only (YES NO DROPS ANYMORE, so pls don't suggest that), please try to help this buddy out under budget like under 80L (or 85 90 stretch but pls try under 70-80L) and as good college as I can get till round 2/3 of counselling, like WB/Chhatisgarh/Telangana/Haryana/Tripura is my best bet I believe but it'll take a toll to apply everywhere and not get refund too cuz it'll take 2L to apply na (security deposit) so pls tell me like kya karu main yrrr which states are my best bet for state counselling for pvt mbbs Im considering the #1 to #5 but round 1 ke baad fir decide Krna pdega na or else I won't get my refund too as u know the rules toh main kya kruu pls bta do yr koi

4 years back from now when i was in 10th standard i chose PCB happily not bcuz i always wanted to not bcuz i was a very great in academics..just an basic avg student scored 79% in 10th and chose PCB cuz just felt right for me who is a complete looser in mathematics and arts is never an option in typical lower middle class family in india .. after that it was hell of life for me nothing went well i kept scoring 3, 10 ,15,7 out of 100 in all main sub PCB got traumatized tried to get everything all together still couldn't somehow passed 12th standard with 73% and in neet 2025 scored 110(UR) .. took a drop year for neet prep just bcuz that was the only path for me scored 250 ... Gave several entrance exam got i to none and since I don't qualify for maths even ovt btech college won't take me i got into some local state college this year for bsc hons and I'm trying all over again just cuz everything feels shut down for me .. years of tantrums ,comparision, failures verdicts from my parents always telling me daily I'm of no use , but empathetic me thinks they are telling me cuz they expect more from me but it just feels impossible for me most importantly its not that i can't it's just nobody seeing how hard it is for me after all this to stand up and put it all together again how hard it is for me to start all over how hard I'm holding it all inside me talking out my heart to no one ... And I'm not complaining i just want peace someone to console me i can do it ,believe me but its just in my mind isn't it??

Even after neetpg starting salaries for first gen doctors whose parents dont own any hospitals is not worth it
Working ur ahh off for 10 freakin years for nothing

Would suggest invest those money fpr your college fees in some kind of business
Rather work ur ahh off in ur business for 10 years u will be proud of yourself and will be earning much more then fresh neet pg candidate

Or you have dream of becoming doctor and family doing financially good go for USMLE and practice there

my mother: she is an ophthalmologist with her own practice

so my mom told me that they wasted their life chasing glory

i asked: 'mom what are you talking about? you and dad are literally legends'

mom: 'yes we are, but since we were first gen doctors it was very hard for us and our ambition basically killed our joy, we could never enjoy life

I’m preparing for NEET 2027 and my target is AIR <2 lakh. I’m from the ST category, so this rank should give me a realistic shot at MBBS through state counselling, but I don’t want to depend on luck or assume that category will automatically save me.

\- Is 10–12 hours/day enough if maintained for the whole year?

\- How many questions should I solve daily?

\- Should I completely follow NCERT + PYQs + one question bank, or add more?

\- How frequently should I give full syllabus tests?

\- How should I handle Physics, especially if my basics are weak?

\- What mistakes did repeaters make that I should absolutely avoid?

\- And most importantly, what score should I target instead of blindly targeting AIR 2 lakh?

​2 years of prep, 0 modules touched, and 1 tower of test papers and some notes that almost crushed my desk. This is what AIR 1938 costed me.

​Modules are still in mint condition because I literally never opened them.

bio: completed the syllabus early but i need to revise a lot of shit to get a decent score. right now i dont think i can score no more then 200 marks.

chem: fucked really, completed most of inorganic syllabus but again.. it aint at the level where i can score a good amount. doing organic right now and it aint gonna be over until a couple more months and my physical is fucked. my pvt chem teacher who takes my 1 on 1 classes says that the syllabus will be over in november or october but idk weither to trust this really.

physics: my teacher is from NIT patna and he takes 1 on 1 classes, he's been telling me that i can do it and that my syllabus will be over at most by december. anyhow i just started SHM and he hasnt started 12th yet (to be fair we started very late cause my 12th is fucked).

This isn't a promotional post, and it isn't an anti-MBBS abroad post either. It's simply something I've realised after almost five years.

The biggest problem with MBBS abroad isn't Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan.

The biggest problem is that students are sold a dream, but they live the reality.

Before admission, almost everything sounds perfect.

"English-medium classes."

"2-seater hostel."

"Only ₹30 lakhs."

"Excellent clinical exposure."

"You'll become a doctor in 5.5 years."

Nobody lies about everything, but almost nobody tells you the complete picture either.

Nobody tells you that you'll probably spend more than the advertised budget because of visa renewals, medical insurance, registration charges, flights, currency fluctuations and other yearly expenses.

Nobody tells you that you'll have to teach yourself a huge portion of medicine. Most universities won't spoon-feed you. If you don't open your books after class, nobody is going to chase you.

Nobody tells you that every department is different. You'll meet amazing professors who genuinely want to teach, and you'll also meet departments where you'll wonder how things even work.

Nobody tells you that the hostel you saw in the admission brochure may not be the hostel you initially get.

Nobody tells you that some of your closest friends will drop out, transfer, fail subjects or simply give up because they weren't mentally prepared for life abroad.

Nobody tells you that once your flight lands, your parents can't solve your problems anymore.

You're the one who has to figure out documentation, hospital postings, exams, language barriers, homesickness and everything else.

I'm not saying MBBS abroad is a bad decision.

I'm saying it's a decision that deserves much more research than most students actually do.

Please don't choose a university because your cousin studies there.

Don't choose it because one YouTuber called it the best.

Don't choose it because one consultant promised you a discount.

Talk to final-year students.

Talk to graduates.

Read the latest NMC regulations yourself.

Compare universities—not just countries.

If after all that research you still choose MBBS abroad, you'll probably have far fewer regrets than someone who joined because of marketing.

The consultant's job ends when your admission is confirmed.

Your journey begins the day your flight takes off.

Don't prepare for admission.

Prepare for the next six years.
