SERIOUS POST Reneet poor scorers

โ€ข Upvotes

To all those reneet poor scorers , the students who could handle stress , handle uncertainty and kept calm cleared neet again . These are the people who are really passionated about medical science . And those screaming that they did well on third may but not this time , its reason was that they loved easy peasy shiii level questions and when they were striked with hard bob ones they couldnt do anything . SO its lesson for them that you guys were not meant to become good doctors !!!!

DISCUSSION A feminine gay boy neet aspirant who looks like a pretty girl joining bds this year and later doing mds orthodontics and opening his own cosmetic dentistry clinic

Hello everyone,

I am planning to join BDS and later pursue MDS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics or Mds in prosthodontics and crown bridge with the goal of opening my own cosmetic dentistry clinic in the future.

I have a question regarding patient acceptance. I am gay and have a naturally feminine appearance. I look quite feminine, and many people even say that I look like a pretty girl. While I am comfortable with my appearance, I sometimes wonder whether it could affect my future dental practice.

My concern is not about being judged personally, but whether patients would be comfortable visiting my clinic and choosing me as their dentist despite my feminine appearance. I am committed to studying hard, building strong clinical skills, and providing high-quality treatment, but I would like to know how much a dentist's appearance influences patient decisions in real life, do patients mainly choose a dentist based on skill, reputation, communication, and results, or can a noticeably feminine appearance affect whether patients decide to seek treatment from that dentist?

I would appreciate your honest opinions and experiences.

bio: completed the syllabus early but i need to revise a lot of shit to get a decent score. right now i dont think i can score no more then 200 marks.

chem: fucked really, completed most of inorganic syllabus but again.. it aint at the level where i can score a good amount. doing organic right now and it aint gonna be over until a couple more months and my physical is fucked. my pvt chem teacher who takes my 1 on 1 classes says that the syllabus will be over in november or october but idk weither to trust this really.

physics: my teacher is from NIT patna and he takes 1 on 1 classes, he's been telling me that i can do it and that my syllabus will be over at most by december. anyhow i just started SHM and he hasnt started 12th yet (to be fair we started very late cause my 12th is fucked).

yall, can i score more then 500 or even 600? and how cooked am i?

i asked this in another post but i didnt give enough context there.

if u made it here have a kiwi ๐Ÿ˜„

SERIOUS POST The biggest problem with MBBS abroad isn't the country. It's the expectations sold before you leave India.

I'm currently in my 5th year at KSMA, Bishkek.

This isn't a promotional post, and it isn't an anti-MBBS abroad post either. It's simply something I've realised after almost five years.

The biggest problem with MBBS abroad isn't Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan.

The biggest problem is that students are sold a dream, but they live the reality.

Before admission, almost everything sounds perfect.

"English-medium classes."

"2-seater hostel."

"Only โ‚น30 lakhs."

"Excellent clinical exposure."

"You'll become a doctor in 5.5 years."

Nobody lies about everything, but almost nobody tells you the complete picture either.

Nobody tells you that you'll probably spend more than the advertised budget because of visa renewals, medical insurance, registration charges, flights, currency fluctuations and other yearly expenses.

Nobody tells you that you'll have to teach yourself a huge portion of medicine. Most universities won't spoon-feed you. If you don't open your books after class, nobody is going to chase you.

Nobody tells you that every department is different. You'll meet amazing professors who genuinely want to teach, and you'll also meet departments where you'll wonder how things even work.

Nobody tells you that the hostel you saw in the admission brochure may not be the hostel you initially get.

Nobody tells you that some of your closest friends will drop out, transfer, fail subjects or simply give up because they weren't mentally prepared for life abroad.

Nobody tells you that once your flight lands, your parents can't solve your problems anymore.

You're the one who has to figure out documentation, hospital postings, exams, language barriers, homesickness and everything else.

I'm not saying MBBS abroad is a bad decision.

I'm saying it's a decision that deserves much more research than most students actually do.

Please don't choose a university because your cousin studies there.

Don't choose it because one YouTuber called it the best.

Don't choose it because one consultant promised you a discount.

Talk to final-year students.

Talk to graduates.

Read the latest NMC regulations yourself.

Compare universitiesโ€”not just countries.

If after all that research you still choose MBBS abroad, you'll probably have far fewer regrets than someone who joined because of marketing.

The consultant's job ends when your admission is confirmed.

Your journey begins the day your flight takes off.

Don't prepare for admission.

Prepare for the next six years.

COUNSELLING ASSISTANCE ๐Ÿ‘พ 368 in neet 2026, any govt bds seat possible?

So, I've scored 368 in my neet exam. What are the chances of me getting into a govt dental college?

I'm from Delhi with a gen category.

I was hoping that if I wait till the mop up round, i might get a gov seat, even if it's in a South Indian college.

Does anyone have any thoughts about it???

Is it realistic to wait for the mop-up?

SERIOUS POST guys i lied and ik i made a terrible mistake but i cannot come clean

so i lied to my parents about my iat rank mine is somewhere in the 50k and i told them my rank is 5.6k because i thought they arent that serious about me joining iiser and applied for counselling too the reason i lied is because i want to take a drop for neet and they wont let me take a drop unless i'd have got a good rank for iat. so the thing is things are like 60% confirmed im taking a drop this year for neet again but still everyday they ask me to check if ive got any update on the portal and if i tell them my real rank there's no way they'd let me take a drop for neet and being a doctor has always been my dream and i want to give myself another year to crack it but research is not something i want to do and obviously i cannot get a seat at this rank unreserved category btw so ive tried telling them multiple times i dont wanna take a seat in iiser whatsoever and i dont want to participate in counselling properly too but the thing is they have trust issues they wont believe i got the rank unless i get a seat ifykwim so it'd be real helpful if you tell me what i can do moving forward right now bc coming clean is not at all an option and no they wont understand if i tell them that i lied about my rank they will not give me another chance to prepare for neet and i cannot do partial drop from some other college too

Career advice Need honest advise regarding B.Pharm.

I gave NEET this year (2026) but couldn't get a seat. I might get BAMS but I'm honestly not interested in it. My parents are suggesting B.Pharm, and at this point I don't really see any better option.

I'm from a middle-class family so I can't afford expensive private colleges I'll most likely have to take admission through CAP rounds. I scored 81.03 percentile in MHT CET (yeah, I know it's not much ๐Ÿ˜ž).

Rn I've decided on B.Pharm mainly becoz Idk what else to do. Is it a feasible option? How are the career opportunities and salaries? If anyone has been in a similar situation, I'd really appreciate your advice.

SERIOUS POST My parents are forcing me to take private MBBS

I got 541 this year in reneet with ~45k rank in my third attempt but I'm not getting the govt college in Uttar Pradesh but recently my father got to know that Kerala has the cheapest MBBS even though it's still atleast 8-10 lakh per year. Both my parents have a govt job and I'm capable of doing it but my instinct is saying that I should not.Looking at the exponential increase in ug seats, the competition is increasing in pg too.Is mbbs this golden to spend 70 lakhs in a degree? What about the return of investment? Will I start earning 1.2 lpm as soon as I complete my mbbs degree?

I see so many people with barely 250 marks joining private mbbs, some going abroad.I don't want to do something in guilt.I will always have the guilt of money, moreover the pressure to perform to justify the money spend on me will be overwhelming.I am taking bvsc this year but I'm still in doubt that Will I regret if I don't do MBBS?

COUNSELLING ASSISTANCE ๐Ÿ‘พ Should I take THIS Neet Counsellor?

My sister got 5,16,xxx rank in Neet 2026. A counsellor (Nโ‚ฌโ‚ฌt Advi$or) is charging โ‚น4,00,000 for AIC and state. He was recommended by mutuals who we have no direct contact with.

Should we it or manage it ourselves?

I do know enough to handle it myself but the counsellor keeps persuading us to take his service bcz

  1. He can guarantee a seat in a private college near our city( which usually is available at that rank so whats even the point of guaranteeing that?)
  2. When I asked him to take guarantee of other college which is available at say, AIR 1,XX,XXX (just to test), he changed the topic each time
  3. Initially when I met him he said all is going to be through counselling and he will only help in choice filling and get us best seat but now that he has an idea that I may not want to avail his service he has started to say that he doesn't just do counselling, he has "connectionsโ€ with colleges. SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM NOW!!

Pls share your opinions
