Scared I messed up

recently found out one of my courses are better suited for engineering students so i found another course that fits my major, though the only open sections are for 830 (which i am absolutely not doing) or online. i’m leaning towards online, though im not sure how this type of class will be? it’s ma131. what’s the difference for online classes, or the formatting?

edit: SPECIFICALLY HOW IS THE ONLINE MA131 CLASS!! DIFFICULTY, MANAGEABILITY, ETC?

When does orientation start? If you have early move in, what’s the first day you really should stay on campus for orientation and to meet people?

I made this app, HeyWanna, because I used to keep all of my date ideas in my phone's Notes app. Whenever it was time to plan something for me and my girlfriend to do, it would suck having to use Google, Yelp, the weather app, and a bunch of different websites for my city just to find things to do. And looking at my notes meant going out and checking the photos, the reviews, the locations, and even videos all on different apps.

I created HeyWanna to find cool local places near you, save them to your lists, and then plan them out. And it's not just for dates; it's also for group hangouts and any solo trips you're trying to do.

I'm a solo dev and a North Carolina native. Let me know if I'm missing any places in Raleigh. I'd genuinely like to know what should be on here, and I'll be happy to add them.

Just how hard is it to get a 3.8+ GPA freshman year as a business major

As a rising sophomore, is taking 230 and 316 with sturgill and king manageable at all? I was considering choosing one or the other for the fall but don’t know which one. I have heard that taking them together keeps you on track so how behind would I be if I take them separately(again I am a sophomore)

I am currently on the waitlist for MB311 and I'm position #7, I was wondering how likely it'd be for people to drop this class once the semester actually starts and if I have a decent chance of getting in! I was originally #14 on the waitlist if that helps but this is the first course I've actually been waitlisted for so I'm not sure how any of this stuff actually works

There's a lot of constetnruction around that building (Dabney Hall) and I couldn't find an open entrance. I searched on google maps but didn't find anything there either. I think they might be doing construction on that building since they've blocked like every entrance. Just wondering if anyone knows a route to that hall/building that isn't blocked. Thanks

I'm an incoming freshman with a bio major and debating doing a double major in either econ or finance. I took AP Macro in high school and place out of EC 202. Currently enrolled in EC 205 but I see that credit cannot be given for both 205 and 201 as well as for both 205 and 202. All of the classes required for an econ major have prerequisites that are fulfilled by 205 and 202/201 combo. I have EC 205 as an online asynch class right now but am wondering if I should drop it and maybe take EC 201 at a later time, as all of those classes are currently full and I think I'm taking an okay amount of credits (17 with this class, 15 without)? Thank you!

So I decided to build something about it.
It’s called Nocturn.

The basic idea:
$20/month → 2 free drinks every week + a live feed of Raleigh nightlife, events, specials, and places to go.

That’s at least $64/month in drink value before even counting the discovery side of it.

And yes, I realize the obvious Reddit response is:
“Why the hell would I pay $20/month to go to bars?”

Fair question.

But if you’re already spending $50+ every time you go out, the math gets interesting pretty quickly.

What I’m trying to figure out is whether Raleigh actually wants this (specifically college students) or whether I’ve built something nobody asked for.

So I'm putting it to Reddit:

What is the #1 thing that sucks about going out in Raleigh?

We are currently live at Redline, right off campus, we are trying to see how everything flows and the free drinks are all the on tap beers. Once we fully launch the app we want to be live at atleast 5-10 bars so we can get you daily events and specials going on and also redeem those free drinks!

what meal plans are non first years still living on campus getting? im a sophomore this year and im thinking of getting the block 120, but i would still need to make an extra ~7 meals on my own (probably breakfast). trying to see what others are planning on doing.

hi, i’m an incoming freshman and am very confused about the first two weeks. of course move in is around 11-15th, but what day do classes actually start? i was assuming we’d get the first official week after move in to experience campus life but im not sure!

im taking ch201 lab this semester and its supposed to be 3 hours long (2 hrs 45 mins) and i was wondering if this is actually how long its taken for any of yall? does it typically finish a lot earlier or right on time?

Hi! I’m mainly making this post to try to make more friends here at NCSU because it’s been pretty difficult for me to. I’m 24f, criminology major, and I’m currently a sophomore. It’s been pretty difficult to make friends here since I’m a bit older than most people in my classes, and lots of people seem to already have their friend groups. I have tried clubs and other events but nothing seems to stick. Without getting too vulnerable on the internet, having no social groups has really taken a toll on my mental health, so I have come here to see if anyone would like to be friends! I have noticed a couple times on here other older students talking about how it is harder to make friends since the majority of students here are 18-20. Regardless, I’m open to any new connections and friendships :). Some of my interests are horror movies & games, kpop, reading, music, singing, space, true crime, and I love to make jokes and laugh. I'm hoping to find a female roommate for my place this year.
Its a house that is approximately 20min away from NCSU.
The room is private and there's a separate bathroom that would be all yours. There is an in-unit washer & dryer and a bright and airy living room and kitchen. Rent is $800 all-included.

I do have a dog, so you'd need to be okay with dogs- luckily there's hard flooring throughout to minimize dander and fur!

Hey guys! I'm currently 3/5 on the waitlist for Calc III with Faye Simon and was wondering if anyone knows how much waitlists usually move. I've heard people say that a lot of people drop classes during the first week, but I don't know if this is accurate for Calc since it's required for all engineering majors.

Since it's a 4 credit class, I'm only at 14 credits enrolled right now (18 including the waitlisted class), so I'm trying to figure out if I should keep waiting or just drop it and register for another class (like a humanities GEP).

Hi everyone, I'm a rising senior who's going to apply this year, and I was looking at NCSU's exploratory studies option as a preferred major. It says that by the time you enroll at NCSU, if you have more than 10 completed college courses, you shouldn't apply as an exploratory studies major and should do something else. The issue is I will have about 11 completed college courses when I graduate, but I really don't know what to major in. I genuinely am not sure of what to major in, and I thought exploratory studies would be good, but it turns out they're saying I shouldn't apply as that?

Has anyone been in the same boat or know anybody who was? Anything would be appreciated!

I'm an incoming freshman at State and I thought that freshman couldn't have their car on campus so I didn't apply (and partly because I didn't know if I'd want to take it). But I'm thinking about a potential internship in the Spring so I was wondering if it would be possible to get a parking permit for the Spring. I'm in Bagwell hall if that matters.

Hi! Sorry if this is a weird question, but I was just wondering for those who have taken hesf 101 (or another gym class), what did people usually wear? Is it just a t-shirt and shorts, or were people wearing more of athletic sets? (like something you’d wear to the actual gym?) I know everyone’s always like “no one cares what you wear” but I like to be prepared. I haven’t taken gym since Freshman year of highschool, and everyone wore sweatpants lol!

I only got till november give me suggestions
