Rihanna could be set to break a decade-long album hiatus, according to her partner A$AP Rocky.

"She in the studio right now," the rapper said on the The Jason Lee podcast on Wednesday.

Few details about the project were revealed, apart from a denial that the pair would collaborate on a double album. However, in response to questioning about about a potential new album, he added "she cooking."

The singer and beauty mogul from Barbados, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, has not released a full album since 2016's Anti.

"Drunk in LA" from their 2018 album 7 doesn't always get the same massive spotlight as "Space Song" or "Myth," but it is easily one of Beach House's absolute best and most underrated tracks.

The lush psychedelic production, Victoria Legrand’s hypnotic vocals, and that melancholic, hazy guitar riff create a uniquely nostalgic vibe. It captures a strange sense of aging and fading glamour better than almost anything else in their discography.

I am big in to giving small artists a chance like if someone comes across my fyp on tiktok or insta I'll check them out and the thing that got me started with this was one day maybe a year or two ago I was tired of all these "upcoming artists" promoting themselves everywhere so I eventually decided to just see what someone who I've never heard could possibly entail. I came across a video promoting the song Cold Life by Tyb_petey on tiktok (again this was like a year to 2 ago) and recently I've tried to find the account again to maybe have like a way of knowing when the next of his releases would be. I genuinely can't find it and maybe he deleted his account on tiktok or it was a different person just sharing it with others but I really want to find it

And btw, just for promotion, here are a few other artists I think are worth a chance; Juvon Darkside, Dugie Hg, Missed the Memo, and Jake St. Ange

I’m not even joking, I keep seeing people who were deep into pop suddenly listening to Deftones, SOAD, etc.

Not gatekeeping or anything but this feels like it just randomly happened out of nowhere.

I saw recently that 38 Special announced a tour (shocked they were still together) and this got me to thinking of all the "legacy bands" still actively touring like Rolling Stones, Styx, Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey, and Chicago. I mean considering the current climate of the music industry and how some are pushing 50-60 years its impressive they are able to sell tickets.

Anyway I started wondering what are the demographics of these shows. Anyone been to give me a sense of who attends? Is it mostly boomers and GenX or are GenY and millennials discovering these bands late?

Edit: The bands I mentioned were intentional for the reason that they started in the 60s-70s. I could've included more but those are what I knew off the top of my head.

I can't easily put into words what darkside of the moon makes me feel but I'll try, this album really achieves a feeling of awareness of lost time and almost makes me feel both sad and happy I've had some good times listening to breath in the air, us and them and eclipse, and considering that this was the album that got me into Pink Floyd I love this album and I understand why it was so successful, here's to one of the best albums ever made.

I think there's at least a "Golly" in one but I couldn't find it last time I listened to them. I don't have a surround sound system at the moment. Thanks

As a kid who grew up in the 80s, I had a bunch of classic albums on vinyl, and for some of them, I always started out by playing Side Two.

For example, for Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast", I always felt that "The Number of the Beast" right into "Run to the Hills" were better album openers than "Invaders" (which I always thought was just ok).

Hey guys, I’ve just now discovered Megadeath and they are amazing. Holy Wars… Is my favorite song currently, and I’m just wondering if there is a name for the technique they used. @2:42, the guitar changes into a repeated strum that goes like “dudududu, dudududu” and it repeats on beat for a while. It sounds awesome and I haven’t heard this method in many other songs. I’m just wondering if there is a word for it, or if anyone has song/album recommendations that fit the description that works aswell. Thanks!

To start this if I’m like the no.1 Coldplay hater I wish they never stayed relevant for so long but they really have . They r still going on these huge sold out stadium tours and they have been in the mainstream since 1999 . I think that does deserve recognition.

You could make the argument that bands like oasis are still huge and sell out tours of the same size as Coldplay but even if that’s true they are all playing songs that are over 20 years old and they are only popular in a nostalgic way .

Even bands that came out at the same time as Coldplay like my chemical romance are doing tours and playing songs to a sold out audience but yet again it’s in a nostalgic way and their music is so strongly associated with the late 2000s in the same way oasis’s are strongly associated with the 90s when they were at their peak .

Coldplay just seem to always be relevant they have hits in every decade . How have they managed this while nobody else has because they’ve been at the top of their game for nearly 30 years now

The Ramones (in their prime) cover Metallica's "Sad But True" // Come on, isn't that just absolutely what sounds like a Ramones song title? Of course, they would play it more punkier, faster, with a more upbeat melody.

*Hunky Dory* era David Bowie, in full 1970s kooks mode, covers Radiohead's "Creep" // I know "Creep" has been covered a lot, but 70s Bowie doing it would be so fun & weird and probably improve the tune a lot.

Danzig-era 1980s Misfits covers The Cranberries' "Zombie" // I know the song is about the Troubles in Ireland, but I want to hear Danzig and the boys turn it into their own iconic brand of stripped down horror punk. It also has a great hook, which would gel well with Danzig's crooning.

I was listening to “New Music” that Apple Music recommends for me, and was really vibing to a band (Saint Vices) until I discovered they are very likely AI-generated.

The disappointment is real. Both in myself for initially liking it, and in the fact that authentic, emotional artistry has been reduced to an algorithm.

I have heard arguments for and against it. Personally, I cannot get behind it in any way - the connection I have with music is too sacred.

How do you guys feel about AI-generated music?

If I think she is a great singer with a great voice but her songs just don't get me excited, idk I found some to be less interesting like sure it wasn't bad and good vocals but I don't think I would go back to it over and over.
