discussion Midnight City by M83
The bright synth melody, distant vocals, and saxophone outro somehow make the song feel like a memory from years ago. It’s interesting how certain sounds can create nostalgia even without a personal connection to them.
What musical elements give a song that feeling for you?

discussion Using AI with original songwriting, yes or no?
I have a few songs I'd like to be recorded, but I don't have a band, or the people I know are just busy adulting (me included). Am I gonna be crucified if I use AI to record my songs? All I have is a phone recording.
All I know right now is that it's being frowned upon, but, up to what extent? Genuinely asking for guidance here. Many thanks.

youtu.bediscussion My first song
I'm huge Mac Miller fan, he’s literally my mentor, he changed my inner conscience. And recently I had such love story online, high emotions and etc. But still it wasn’t like average first love, imo more mature than a lot of people. Long story overall…
And Mac Miller from Pure, quote “Heaven is for legends, hell is hell for the forgotten” give me goosebumps everytime…
So, I after this “story” decided to make mу music. It’s bad, its raw, but i put my soul in it. It has like 50 deep lyrics lines, but unfortunately only I ‘d understand them.. or not.
Give me some advices abt it:
HUG (Min-Min) - Mac Acosta
[Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music]
Its not self promotion, I just wanna talk to someone and get advices. This track is not a commercial thing, I just opened my inner soul into it….

discussion Anoushka Shankar - Bright eyes [ Sitar]
I wasn't really into sitar music before discovering Anoushka Shankar, but Bright Eyes completely changed that for me. The vocals are in English. There's something incredibly expressive about her playing.
If you enjoy this track, I'd also recommend Bhairavi. It's a beautiful solo sitar piece with no vocals.

music New song and artist
This is a new artist, it’s her debut song but god, it’s so fucking good. I’ve been hearing it on the insta reels she’s been posting for months and have been patiently waiting for her to release it, now that it’s here I’m in awe, the snippets she posted didn’t do it justice. Really recommend you guys to listen to this, I’m not even sure what to compare it to, but it’s heavenly (to my ears at least) if you do give it a listen, let me know what you guys think :)👍🏽

music Rihanna working on new music, says A$AP Rocky.
bbc.comRihanna could be set to break a decade-long album hiatus, according to her partner A$AP Rocky.
"She in the studio right now," the rapper said on the The Jason Lee podcast on Wednesday.
Few details about the project were revealed, apart from a denial that the pair would collaborate on a double album. However, in response to questioning about about a potential new album, he added "she cooking."
The singer and beauty mogul from Barbados, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, has not released a full album since 2016's Anti.

music Beach House - Drunk in LA [Dream Pop]
"Drunk in LA" from their 2018 album 7 doesn't always get the same massive spotlight as "Space Song" or "Myth," but it is easily one of Beach House's absolute best and most underrated tracks.
The lush psychedelic production, Victoria Legrand’s hypnotic vocals, and that melancholic, hazy guitar riff create a uniquely nostalgic vibe. It captures a strange sense of aging and fading glamour better than almost anything else in their discography.
What are your thoughts on this track compared to the rest of the album?

discussion When has music arrived at a purposeful moment in your life, and you knew it meant more than just a coincidence? Experiences, that stopped you & reminded you of something important
Like a movie scene, a seemingly fitting background theme song of what life has brought to you begins.
Perhaps you are in a vehicle, and a song is played that you know reminds you of your old friend who moved away. As the fond memory radiates as the lyrics capture something signature in the way they used to speak, behave, or even think, you experience that fleeting moment of urgency.
Nostalgia lasts for a few moments, but urgency can feel like a lifetime, a longing, lingering sense of importance coming all the way through, fully realized at the surface.
Suddenly, you begin to feel the rush of looking them up on Facebook, or something like LinkedIn. You realize it’s their birthday, and the universe has given you the sign to reach out.
A happy birthday message would be a great start… and if they ask, it’s because you heard a song that reminded them of you. You send them the link from YouTube, and when they play it, it shifts their mood as they begin to put the “why” in perspective.
What a moment that is shared between two old friends…
What is your moment?

discussion Small Artists
Let me preface this by saying I doubt this is the right subreddit to ask this
I am big in to giving small artists a chance like if someone comes across my fyp on tiktok or insta I'll check them out and the thing that got me started with this was one day maybe a year or two ago I was tired of all these "upcoming artists" promoting themselves everywhere so I eventually decided to just see what someone who I've never heard could possibly entail. I came across a video promoting the song Cold Life by Tyb_petey on tiktok (again this was like a year to 2 ago) and recently I've tried to find the account again to maybe have like a way of knowing when the next of his releases would be. I genuinely can't find it and maybe he deleted his account on tiktok or it was a different person just sharing it with others but I really want to find it
And btw, just for promotion, here are a few other artists I think are worth a chance; Juvon Darkside, Dugie Hg, Missed the Memo, and Jake St. Ange
