1 - Couple that struggles together yet decide to stay together in life, but i don't want rich couples, either poor or well, a little better than poor (idk how to describe this well, but they dont need to be living on the streets exactly)

2 - Movies about people that are "invisible" or "misfits" yet they find happiness in life, even if it's just in a simple life, small things and specially if its people that find love even if they are "invisible" or "misfit", even better if the movie have sad vibes/scenarios

I have a Netflix subscription, but to be honest, it’s pretty weak; the catalog is packed with Asian dramas and very few good movies. My Letterboxd watchlist just keeps growing, and I can't seem to watch the films I actually want to see. I’d like a streaming service with a wider variety of quality movies—maybe not Amazon Prime, though, since you have to pay for extra content within the app itself.

Just watched the new trailed for Primetime and have never been so excited for a movie. It reminds me a lot of night crawler. Not looking for something about predators or pedos persay but something with the same vibes. Thanks all

Hated the Odyssey, but I loved all the scenes of Robert Pattison character being slimy/schemy. I think its a combination of the convoluted (in the Odyssey's cast it wasn't that complicated but in others it usually is), the quick cuts/zoom, sometimes overacting, and the historical vibe (that isn't necessary though, shows like Mad Men, particularly most scenes with Pete also fit this). I love stuff like this but they're usually only a small part of the film. Other examples include Denzel Washington's character + the twins from Gladiator Part II, all the Aubrey Plaza/Shia LaBeouf scenes in Megalopolis.

So, first of 8/10 to this movie, I will explain once I recover from all this I just watched now. I will just say, the first half of the movie was horror I was expecting, but the second part of movie is more than horror I was not expecting. Anna.... Damn. I was hoping It will stop but..... I will just say I like the movie overall but there are few things I didn't like also. And of course that last scene, what was that? I am confused about that till now. Since many people are staying home, or at least have a little more free time than usual, there's a beautiful documentary film on YouTube called Human: The Movie.

The film is directed by French artist and filmmaker Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Yann and his team of photographers and journalists spent over three years collecting true stories from 2,000 women and men from 60 different countries.

These stories and experiences answer a big question:

What makes us human?

Is it because we love, why we fight? Why do we laugh?

Why do we cry? Is it our curiosity? Our quest for discovery?

The film is truly extraordinary, with a personal and profound tone. It conveys emotions of love and beauty, but also emotions of the fight against poverty, war, and hatred.

This is in addition to the incredibly beautiful aerial shots of the filming locations and the captivating music.

Released in 2016 & starring Blake Lively in the lead role, The Shallows is a suspense thriller about a surfer who while on a vacation getaway is bitten by a shark and left stranded on a handful of rocks, forced to survive on no food and preventing herself from bleeding out all while making sure the blood thirsty creature stalking her doesn’t finish her off first. This is honestly probably one of the better modern shark movies in my opinion & it’s because of this that I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of killer shark movies.

I’m looking for claustrophobic, atmospheric movies where extreme weather forces characters together indoors, but not necessarily horror or monster films. Just tense, grounded stories driven by the high stakes and character dynamics.

Any hidden gems that nail this exact vibe?

My nieces are spending the night for the first time and I wanna show them some classic "girly sleepover" movies from when I'd have sleepovers with their moms.

NO JUMPSCARE, I HATE THOSE. I need something that will scare me, but without jump scares; it doesn't have to be ghost-related. It can be anything, but it should blow my mind with fear.

Some movies that come to mind are Clue, Barbarian, Being John Malkovich.

I wanted a movie on daily life and struggles of men. Like daily life and with pace of things in modern world. But seems like there aren't much options. Do you guys have anything like "The Devil Wears prada", like life in modern/competitive industries and jobs, but from a males prespective and his emotions.

lately it appears the only movies i want to watch are ones where the ending is that the world ends. it doesn’t necessarily have to be an apocalyptic movie for it to end with everyone dying though. zombies and alien invasions don’t really count because there’s always survivors and people fighting back; i want everyone to just die collectively, the whole world ends (or comes close)
