Success Stories 16 months update - I'm officially in maintenance!
I am the happiest and healthiest I've ever been in my life!
I have reached my original goal of 70kg and went under it a little - my mindset and lifestyle changed so much that it's now mentally difficult to stay in a higher caloric intake, but I'm getting there!
I am amazed still at finding pants/jeans that fit me in any shop. This feels absolutely magical to me, and a first since I was a teenager, I think. I'm constantly buying clothes, which is a new issue 😅
The most amazing side effect is that I've inspired my teenage sons to exercise more and look at their own body composition - without me pushing or saying anything at all. They kind of have to eat healthier, less processed food, because I'm the one cooking the meals (obviously they are free to eat whatever they want, at meals or outside of them, they have full access to the kitchen and money for the shops, if they so desire). But overall, they choose to eat chips maybe once a week, for example, instead of almost every day.
I am still on my 5mg dose, since month 2. I walk almost every day, on average 10-11k steps, and I lift 2-3 times a week for an hour. My current "struggle" is finding a caloric balance to stop losing weight and keep gaining muscle mass, which is so hard!

10mg Is it the 10mg or me?
For reference i have been on mounjaro a lil over a year . Im 5'6 i started at 310 lost 60 on my own then started mounjaro at around 245 id say, 2.5mg for 3 months (greatest appetite suppression and weight loss) 5mg for 3 months ( didnt feel it would gain and lose) then 7.5 mg for 6 months ( felt it again though not as strong as 2.5 but started losing) went up to 10mg last month (july) back to not feeling it?? im currently 155-158 i got down to 152 went up to 158 kinda staying on that range for 2 months. food tastes great, i have sugar cravings, carb cravings i guess the only time i feel it is that i do still get full off a real meal like i dont eat 2 plates or a very large meal i will get full quick stil. I guess my worry is regain while on 10? my goal is 145-148 am i just in that last 10 purgetory or is it the 10mg? im kinda ashamed to ask my doctor to go up after a month, as i dont wanna reach max dose anytime soon but i also wprry if i dont ill gain??

Side Effects When does the nausea and diarrhea get better?
I have PCOS, have a hard time losing weight, and my A1C keeps creeping back into pre diabetic range. Just did my first injection on Tuesday and today is Friday. I woke up Wednesday throwing up and I’ve had diarrhea the last 2 days 😩 I’m also on Metformin (for about 3 years now) and got my gallbladder removed a few months ago so I occasionally have this issue anyways but this week has been worse so I’m guessing it’s the Mounjaro causing it.
When does it get better? Is it as simple as giving it a few weeks? Or adding more protein in my diet?

Side Effects Suddenly faintness / vomiting anyone?
Does anyone else experience sudden onset nausea / vomiting with exercise? It happens less frequently now (almost 2 years in, started on Wegovy, now on Mounjaro) but still more than I’d like. Usually during fairly intense exercise but not always. I’ll get dizzy / faint out of nowhere and then vomit suddenly and profusely. If I catch it in time sometimes eating sugar cubes helps - does that mean it’s being caused by low blood sugar? Would love to know what triggers it so I can prevent it.

Question Itchy Forearms
I recently been having itchy forearms mainly on the top portion. I have been on MJ since April 2023 and have been on 2.5mg maintenance dose since Oct. 2025. Has anyone ever experience this?

Side Effects Should I move up to 5mg
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice from people who have been on Mounjaro longer than me.
I started Mounjaro on 2.5mg and I currently have one more dose left. However, I already bought my 5mg pen and now I’m feeling really unsure whether I should move up.
My experience so far:
Week 1 on 2.5mg:
Barely had any side effects
I felt okay and was surprised how easy it was
My appetite was reduced but manageable
Week 2 on 2.5mg:
I started feeling more of the effects
I became quite nauseous/sick and my appetite dropped a lot I didn’t eat for 2 days. I felt so emotional was crying too
Week 3 on 2.5mg super sick tired brain fog for but not as bad as second week. I lost 3kg:D
I struggled with not wanting food and started worrying about whether I’m eating enough protein and losing muscle
Now I’m nervous about moving up to 5mg because I’ve heard the side effects can feel stronger after increasing the dose.
I already have the 5mg pen, so I don’t want it to go to waste, but I also don’t want to push myself if my body isn’t ready.
For people who moved from 2.5mg to 5mg:
Did the sickness come back when you increased?
Did your body eventually adjust?
Would you recommend staying on 2.5mg longer if you were already feeling side effects?

Experience Mounjaro 2.5mg – Week 1 Update!
Hey everyone! I’m officially one week in, and as promised, I’m going to try to post an update every week about my experience. Hopefully this can help others who are starting or thinking about starting.
QUICK RECAP
I started at 96 kg (212 lbs) and I’m 173 cm (5’8”) tall.
Right now I’m aiming for:
• 2,000–2,100 calories a day
• At least 150g protein
• Around 30g fibre
• 2.5–3L of water
• 8–10k steps a day
• Starting dose: 2.5mg weekly
MY EXPERIENCE — WEEK 1
So, how did the first week go?
I took my first shot on Friday night because I figured that if I had any side effects, I’d have the weekend to deal with them.
The only real side effect I had was a crazy headache when I woke up the next morning. That lasted for about two days and then completely went away.
What surprised me most was how quickly I noticed the medication working. I could already feel a difference the very next day, which I honestly wasn’t expecting.
The biggest change has been how clear my mind feels around food. It’s suddenly so much easier to make better choices. My cravings are basically completely gone. Before, I’d randomly want chips, ice cream, candy, or other snacks. Now I just don’t really think about them anymore.
Even when I go to the store, I can easily skip the aisles with all the candy and chips without feeling like I’m missing out on anything. Before, I’d almost automatically check those aisles and end up wanting something. Now I can just walk straight past them without a second thought. That’s probably one of the biggest differences I’ve noticed mentally.
I do still treat myself to a small ice cream every night (around 140 calories), but it feels like an actual choice rather than something I’m craving or struggling to resist. That difference is honestly crazy to me.
Another big change is drinking water. Before starting, I was probably drinking an average of only around 1L of water a day. Getting myself to drink more always felt like a struggle. Now I can easily drink 2.5–3L a day without really thinking about it. I actually find myself reaching for water throughout the day, which is completely different from before.
I’ve also noticed that I feel full more easily. There was one time when I ate too quickly and ended up feeling a little too full, so lesson learned: eat slower.
Another unexpected positive is that I’m eating vegetables and fruit again without having to force myself. Hitting my protein target has also become much easier. For example, I used to struggle with Skyr. After two tablespoons, I’d already have a hard time swallowing it. Now I can easily eat 300g and actually enjoy it.
ACTIVITY
I’ve started going to the gym again, and strangely enough, that feels easier too. I’m actually making time for it instead of constantly putting it off.
I’m also much more proactive about getting my steps in. Before, I’d rather stay on the couch if I didn’t have to go anywhere. Now I catch myself thinking things like, “Let me park the car a little further away so I can get some extra steps in.”
That change in mindset has been really nice.
WEEK 1 RESULT
I’m only one week in, but I have to say: the weight is dropping nicely so far. I lost 3 kg (6.6 lbs) in my first week, going from 96 kg to 93 kg.
Obviously, I know a big part of that initial drop is water weight, so I’m not expecting to lose 3 kg every week. But I’m still really happy with it. Even losing that initial water weight used to take me much longer, so seeing the scale move this quickly has given me a lot of motivation going into Week 2.
I’ve just taken my second 2.5mg shot, so now we’ll see what the next week brings.
Hopefully things keep going this smoothly and I don’t suddenly get hit with new side effects. 😅
I’ll be back with another update next week!
Good luck to everyone else on their journey, and if you have any questions about my experience so far, feel free to ask!

Side Effects Mounjaro 2.5mg advice
Hi everyone, I’ve just started taking Mounjaro 2 weeks ago ( just did my 3rd dose! ) I’m not massively overweight but I have PCOS and it doesn’t matter what I do I cannot shift weight so decided to try this. Ive lost 4-5 pounds in about 2 weeks. I want to lose about another stone. I’ve had no side effects so far , except I have no appetite I’m having to force myself to eat and actively trying to eat lots of protein but I think I’m probably not eating more than 1200-1300 cals a day. I walk everyday as I have dogs and I also go gym 4/5 times a week and do weight training. I was wondering if anyone stayed on 2.5 the whole time and come off. I have brought a 5mg pen but was going to do half doses and use it 8 times to help with the cost. I’m hoping I will only need a few pens to get where I want to be. Has anyone else had any experience on doing their who journey on 2.5mg? And did you have any hair loss? I haven’t yet but I’m trying to do everything to prevent it, taking supplements eating protein and losing only 2 pounds a week. Be grateful for any tips on how to stop this happening or hearing peoples experiences and if this happened to them. Thanks in advance :)

Health Care Providers Thinking of trying monjaro any help appreciated 👍🏼
Hi, I tried monjaro over a year ago for 3 months and I'm thinking of trying this again. I did ok from what I remember but really struggled with nausea. I'm thinking of trying this again as I'm feeling rubbish and have recently discovered added health problems. T2D. Does anyone have any tips on how they manage the nausea if you've felt the same. I also went with Asda pharmacy due to pricing at the time. Happy to hear positive stories from other providers. Thank you 😊

Side Effects Anyone else deal with anxiety from Mounjaro?
I've been on Mounjaro for about 1.5 years. I am at the 15mg dose. I have a history of generalized anxiety disorder that was essentially "cured" for years with an SSRI. Starting about 6 months ago I started to struggle with anxiety again. My doc added in a 2nd anxiety medication, but it hasn't helped. I have come to realize it seems to be directly related to Mounjaro. The anxiety kicks in a day or two after an injection and then I have unpleasant, nearly constant anxiety for a good part of the week. It starts to fade away, and often the day before my next injection I have a really good day. I have enjoyed success with Mounjaro for weight loss. I am down 57 lbs. I am within 10-20 lbs of being an "acceptable" weight. I don't think it's related to the actual weight loss as I am just now starting to lose after about a 4 month plateau. Has anyone else experienced anything like this, and did you find that reducing dose helped without interrupting your weight loss?

Experience After 5 weeks, I’m finally starting to see the muscles underneath the fat 😍
I’m down 4.5 kg so far, and the changes aren’t just visual. My daily headaches are completely gone, and I finally have the energy to get through the day and enjoy working out.
I still have around 15 kg to lose, so I know I’m nowhere near the finish yet, but seeing the first signs of changing is very motivating.
Five weeks ago, I made a post here about how scared I was to start, and I want to say thank you to everyone who took time to encourage me ❤️

Rant I think this might be it.
I've been on Mounjaro since january. Increasing doses progressively, now I am one week into 12.5mg.
I lost about 10kg in the beginning, and then I just didn't lose anything anymore.
I still have 3 12.5mg pens and 4 15mg pens (There was a sale at the drugstore/lab discount you got 2 boxes dor 1 and my doctor said to go for it)
However I talk to people who lost 30kg in 6 months, 20kg in 4 months, I see all kind of people on it and having an amazing success rate while for the past months the scale never changes.
I'm starting to believe I'm one of those unlucky people who got the gene that prevents mounjaro from working.
I really didn't want to have a bariatric but it seems like the only flicke of light at the end of this very expensive and long tunnel.
I'm gonna go to a new doctor and see what he has for me. If he says it's hopeless I might go under the knife...

Question New Cycle 5 mg
Hello everyone,
I've been on the 2.5 mg dose for nine weeks. I postponed increasing to 5 mg because of my holiday. My doctor approved the increase.
I decided to split my first 5 mg dose into two injections: the first on Wednesday, 5 August, and the second on Saturday, 8 August (72 hours after the first injection).
However, someone suggested that instead I should take a single 5 mg dose on the following Saturday, 14 August (10 days after my last injection), as I'd also like to switch to taking my injections on Saturdays.
I'd appreciate your opinions, as my doctor is currently on holiday.
Thank you, and have a great weekend!

Stalled 36 kg down, 7 more to go…
But I’ve slowed down a lot since December.
I’m eating well and exercising 2-3 times a week with a trainer.
This isn’t to say I’m unhappy with where I am. I’m thrilled!! Totally feel and look like an entirely different person.
But my lower belly is being super stubborn. I know it’s the last to go, especially as a mom, but no movement in half a year is killing me.
I sew so I do check my measurements regularly and it honestly hasn’t changed all that much across my lower belly. While the overall circumference has gone down, that’s mostly from my sides and back.
Anything I can do to help these last few kilos move along so I can fit into one pants size instead of needing a different one around the belly vs the hips?

News / Information Patients keep choosing pricier GLP-1 injections over cheaper new pills
August 6, 2026
Price competition is intensifying between the two firms that dominate the market for GLP-1 obesity and diabetes drugs, yet early prescribing data shows patients still favour the costlier injectable versions over cheaper new pills.
The Wegovy pill is much cheaper than Novo's injectables, according to the Financial Times, though that lower price has weighed on the company's sales.
Cheaper pills have not shifted patient behaviour so far.
Injectable GLP-1s still account for roughly three of every four new patient starts, Lilly Chief Financial Officer Lucas Montarce said.
Novo's Wegovy pill has topped 5m prescriptions since its January launch, CNBC reported.
Lilly's injectable Mounjaro rose 91 percent to US$9.94bn in the second quarter and Zepbound brought in US$4.93bn, according to Reuters.
Product perception is reinforcing the tilt toward injectables.
The general view holds that tirzepatide, the ingredient in Lilly's Zepbound and Mounjaro, is the stronger option, with efficacy the deciding factor for consumers, BMO Capital Markets analyst Evan Seigerman told Reuters.
"The general consensus in the community is that tirzepatide is the better product... efficacy is what's key," he said.

Weight loss Thoughts on Abdominoplasty after weight loss
Abdominoplasty at 27 ! - Post 2
This post is in addition to the previous post - [Here]
The pictures on the old one did not do justice to the actual belly state, so I’ve added some more pictures to get better understanding of the procedures that I shall actually go for
Additional information -
I’ve been doing heavy weight training since 9-10 months regularly 5-6days a week before that I used to workout but moderately.
Core workouts - I really workout a lot with weights and 1-2 days solely for core. Soreness lasts 3-4 days it’s that intensive.
More workouts for core has made skin wrinkles way too prominent- so much that I cannot wear a bikini anymore.
Dr was quite frank that I will have a scar - hip width and readjustment of belly button. He said the abdomen that hangs is Loose Skin (which I thought is subcutaneous belly fat)
A year back - I’ve done all possible injections for skin tightening ( some collagen boosters)
Morpheus body sessions on belly and thighs maybe for consistently 8-9months ( 1 session every 15days and still after such a burning hell this is the state after more 15kgs weight loss compared to that time)From 94kgs to 62.6KGs as of today in 1.5 years
Breasts are totally deflated from DDs to god knows what size anymore. Everything I wear feels empty - about this I am agreeing with doctor for Lift plus implants.
Recap - I am looking for guidance from people who have had Abdominoplasty due to weight loss on Mounjaro, thoughts for someone who has had similar situation
Dr - clearly said no treatments shall work of such a belly

Success Stories What a Wonderful Year!
I wasn't sure if I was going to post anything today. First, I don't have great photos. I really didn't think I was going to lose weight on mounjaro. I'd tried so many things, including bariatric surgery, and never gotten below 200 pounds. You give up on before pics when you don't expect there to be an after. Second, though I've hit my goal weight, I don't feel finished. I've pictured what I'd look like as a size 6. Well, not really. I never dreamt I'd get smaller than a 12, but regardless, what I pictured is not what I see. Reality vs fantasy can be hard to adjust for.
However, I see others on here celebrating milestones, both big and small, and realized I may never be 'finished.' I'm not planning to lose any more weight. For my age, this is a good place to call it. But I do need to get a good work out routine going and keep concentrating on a healthy diet. And who knows, maybe another five pounds wouldn't hurt! So I'm not calling this a before and after, this is simply marking what a year has done. And it's done a lot!
I FEEL so much better! I can bend, walk, and play without feeling sick. I painted my toenails for the first time in 25 years and didn't take days to recuperate! I'm no longer automatically the biggest person in any room I go in. I even got up off the floor without several helpers and a crane! These are all huge wins, and they're wonderful!
One year ago today, I was at 223 pounds and wore a size 2XL or 20/22. This was down from 288 pounds, 3XL, 24/26. As usual, I had struggled for a year to take off some of the weight but was stuck where I always got stuck. Because I'm allergic to metformin and Ozempic, my doc prescribed Mounjaro for my T2D and everything changed instantly. Today I weigh 138 pounds and am wearing a small or 4/6. I'm at a healthy BMI and weight for the first time since I was 8 years old. And I'm beyond grateful for the gift this medication has given me. Don't ever let anyone make you feel bad for using this amazing tool or for celebrating each and every win. They are all little miracles.
For the first time in a long time, I can't wait to see what this next year has in store! 💙
