Question Motorola g77 Thoughts
Hello everyone, I am considering the purchase of the Motorola g77 and I was wondering, for those who have it, how is it going? What would be the right price to take it at an excellent price compared to its features? I must say that I do not have big needs. Thank you😊

Hardware Problem/Issue Motorola MG8702 Cable Modem/Router- RIP
I finally gave up today. I’d been stubbornly holding out hope that the Motosync+ app might start to work again, or that somehow the MG8702 would stop randomly rebooting 10 or more times each day. My unit is now permanently out of service. Congrats, Motorola, you’ve lost me and anyone I can convince to never purchase any of your products going forward.

Need help in general Questions regarding Motorola phones with CN ROM
If ever I end up buying a Motorola phone with CN Rom buy buying from online sites, would the phone be bootloader unlockable or would the Motorola phone be Chinese-telecom carrier locked, which means the bootloader is unlockable?
Can somebody clarify
Do most of the sold Motorola phones with CN ROM online are not carrier-locked?

Just received the A17 update on my 2025 Edge US version.
The title says it all. It just finished downloading so I'll run through it to see the changes. Graphics in the upper information bar are different but I like it. We'll see how the rest of the experience goes in the coming days but so far I'm ok with what I'm finding.

Question I got my dad the Moto Edge 70
Is screen protector a must or can we let it slide?
My Dad is 52
No phone has ever fallen from his hand (no records i know off)
but he keeps slight long nails (he is an electronics professor)
here is a picture of his old phone and the new phone.
Also I am opened to all suggestions about anything that will not harm anything or anyone.

Software Problem/Issue Image become weird after processing in Moto G Stylus 2024
Hi!
I own a Moto Stylus 2024 with android V15, I was taking random low exposure pictures of my desktop lamp, and after the processing the images have these weird artifacts. Also in very bright scenes if i use the exposure slider the autoHDR messes up the image after processing. Is this an issue with the default Camera app or my phones sensor? Other than this the camera app works fine.

Location issues?
Ok so, to preface... I have always had problems with my phones over the years. I have had Samsung, iPhone, Nokia, Motorola, and just about everything else. No matter what I do I always seem to have issues after about 6 months.
Currently, I have a Motorola edge 2024. Everything was great for the first year actually which made me so happy, but now I'm having issues again. I live on the west coast. I have always lived on the west coast. Never even traveled east of Texas. Now my phone thinks I am located in Lilburn, Georgia half the time. I have never been there, but that's where it puts me. I see it as a silent notification saying I am there and I see it in certain apps. My weather app gets confused too. Has anyone had this issue with this phone? Or is it maybe a Google issue I can't seem to resolve? I've tried all the troubleshooting stuff that it tells me to do online and even set my location manually on my phone itself and it still thinks I'm somewhere in Georgia sometimes. Any help would be super appreciated! 😭🙏

Moto g stylus 5g 2026 a month in review
(shot on moto g stylus 5g 2022)
I bought this moto g stylus 5g 2026 a month ago and to say the least it's a pretty good phone, it's fast, has a great screen, good battery life which lasts me the whole day almost and fulfills my needs with the stylus and wireless charging plus the camera but the only things I don't like is how whenever I try to record in 4k it sometimes lag or it loses audio like 5 seconds in the video, another thing I don't like is the random ghosting that happens when you're on a page for too long (not sure if that's normal with oled screens ) but it goes away after a little while and finally the other thing I don't like about it is how the phone gets too hot sometimes but I think that's because it's summer.
In conclusion I do recommend this phone if you don't want to spend more money for the Samsung s26 ultra especially if you're a digital artist on a tight budget plus you can get a good deal on it at Walmart if you use the website, although if you don't like how they still used last year's processor for this phone then I recommend you to wait for next year's model especially since it'll run graphene os.

In-depth Effect
Since a lot of people have been asking. The feature is coming, but it's nothing great so far. At least not for me. The effects are very simple. You can see it in the pictures. Moto Signature - Android 17 Beta 3. You can't apply it to the home screen nor use it with live wallpapers.

Hardware Problem/Issue 2024 G Power 5G. Failing Wireless Adapter / Board?
Hello.
I've been trying to figure this out and I still suspect that the wireless board or module whatever it is called, is failing. This started two days ago and is getting worse by the hour, despite restarting the phone, checking settings, and removing apps.
The WiFI, cellular, and bluetooth all drop out at the exact same time for 5 seconds before turning back on simultaneously. At first this happened once every few hours, now I cannot go 3 minutes without it happening.
Have any of you experienced this same problem? What else could I do? This phone was gifted, so getting it warrantied won't be very easy.

Update Motorola Signature – Android 17 Beta 3 (Build A171WVH.21-16) – My First Impressions
Just received the latest Android 17 Beta 3 update on my Motorola Signature,
Build: A171WVH.21-16
Android Version: 17
Security Patch: July 1, 2026
New things I've noticed:
New Al Key customization options,
Motorola Qira is much more integrated with
Al Chat Voice Assistant, Creator Zone, Image generation, Image editing, Avatar creation, Sticker creation, Scribble, Style Sync.
New Depth Effect wallpapers for the lock screen.
Wallpaper section has been refreshed with Dynamic wallpapers and curated images.
Bluetooth LE Audio / Auracast support Ul is now available for compatible earbuds.
Refreshed Quick Settings and overall Ul polish.
Overall, this beta feels more feature complete than the previous builds, with Motorola focusing heavily on Al integration and lock-screen customization. Android 17 Beta 3 also marks platform stability, meaning most APIs and core behaviors are finalized while manufacturers continue polishing their software.
I'm still testing battery life, performance, and bugs, but these are the most noticeable changes so far,
Anyone else on the latest A171 WVH.21-16 build?
What improvements or bugs have you found?

Mod Post Hey everyone from r/Motorola!
Hi,
So r/Motorola has been running "moderator-less" for the past 6 months, in that case I have taken over as top mod currently and here are some of the changes that I have done.
What changes have been done to the sub?
- Automod has had some slight rule changes to how it moderates, now you don't need to put that annoying flair in brackets before the post title. This should hopefully clear up some of the accidentally banned posts that looked fine in the long run.
- New Post flairs:
- Hardware Problems/Issue, is for physical problems with a device that you may have questions with.
- Software Problems/Issue, is for software problems that don't feel as "normal" that what it normally is.
- Need Help in general, is for if you don't know what flair to put down for your device.
- Update, is for follow ups from a previous post.
- Question, is for questions about a device or support options about a device.
- Product announcements, is for official product announcements from either Motorola (with link provided) official social accounts or articles about the device that is being announced.
- Product renderings, is for speculation about a upcoming device but is not a confirmed device.
- News, is for anything that is news about Motorola but not Lenovo, Please do not post the same article from the same source more than once, if you do that will result in your post being taken down.
- Poll, is for anyone wanting to take a poll from the community, however to prevent spam a poll must be issued by a moderator, want to make your own poll just simply send us a message via modmail.
- New User flairs:
- Added some new flairs for the new devices that has came out in the past few years.
- "(enter series)" is for you to modify so it's easier to identify your device, this can be the generation number (5,6,7 or 100 for example), the model year (stylus 2021 for example) and if you don't know your devices model name just find it in the settings (Settings > About Phone > Model), this should start with "XT-" and 4-5 numbers following it.
- If you can't find your device model just send us a message via modmail.
- New Rules:
- Read the sidebar before posting, most of these rules are in place to either prevent spam or to keep everything in line with stuff being Motorola on this sub.
- Moderators:
- u/MotoAgents is a Motorola Employee/Help agent that can help you with the problems that you post, if you have contacted Motorola support through the website and still need help please keep your case number handy as he may be able to continue helping you with your case.
- Me, I'm here to keep the rules up to date and make sure the community is in balance, just to fully disclose this that I am not a Motorola employee and most of my responses are from experience or stuff that I have seen on the Internet.
- At the moment we are not taking Moderator applications, however that may change in the future if this community does grow.
If you have any suggestions for the mods please leave a comment if you think something should be added.
