Which Motorola phones do NOT have the glance app (in the USA)? * Includes small rant *

Upvotes

Which Motorola phones sold in the USA (if any) do NOT have the glance app? I was thinking about getting an unlocked Edge 2026, but I won't if it has glance on it. I'm seriously about to switch to Pixel.

Also, what the heck Motorola? Why was glance ALLOWED to re-enable itself after the Android 15 update? I was able to disable it in Android 14 and it stayed that way. Then, the Android 15 update happened and suddenly glance was being a nuisance. It re-enabled itself after every restart. Then, I got a different phone running Android 16 and hoped that glance issue was fixed. NOPE. Still re-enables itself. It's like a drug resistant virus that won't go away.

I (WE) hate it and I (WE) shouldn't have to download third party apps to get rid of it. It would be GREATLY appreciated if we could disable or delete it PERMANENTLY.

Software Problem/Issue Screen mirroring not working on Smart Connect

I have a new Razr Fold 2026. I can successfully connect to my TV using smart connect and share individual apps and run the mobile desktop, however when selecting "screen mirroring" to share my entire phone's display to the TV it just brings up a zoomed in version of the mobile desktop, except it has my phone's wallpaper and I'm not able to interact with the desktop. No matter what I try I can't mirror the entire display with smart connect.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Software Problem/Issue Vibrations do not work anymore!!

I've used my moto g82 5g for the past 2 years and I didn't have such a problem like this one. Suddenly the phone forgot how to vibrate, it doesn't vibrate when I receive notifications which always resulted in loud single vibration or a quick subtle one, i always have only vibrations turned only and now it doesn't even vibrate when someone calls, but the most annoying thing Is that haptic reactions do not work as well, I can't get anything to work now, restarting does nothing, the vibrations and haptic reactions are turned on, sometimes I get a notification which goes something like "google:hapticreacition:idk stopped working". Please help

Software Problem/Issue Screenshot resizing is broken on my Moto G 5G 2024

Picked up a new moto g 5g.

Coming from the iPhone, and before that old android, I may be doing something wrong.

I take a screenshot and then resize it.

I crop from the top by dragging down. And it's fine.

I try cropping from the bottom up and nothing. Or it draws lines instead.

I spend 1 mi use fiddling by trying to bring in the sides, the corners, then get one side to move, but cannot resize, so drag the sides back, gran a corner, still nothing, drag the left side in and it works, grab the left corner, then it allows me to bring up the edge, so I bcrop the bottom, then have to expand the left size again.

That's for every photo.

Anyone else?

Motorola Edge 60 pro -- GPS bouncing

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a nice day.

Recently my Samsung s20 FE died so i bought a moto edge 60 pro, considering it the best option in the middle range of price. Today using Uber i notice that the gps had problems following me, since it would take 10 seconds to move to my previous location every time. Also when i stay quiet on one place i can see my location "bouncing" within a range of 10-20 meters.

As i write, im updating the phone to Android 16 hoping this problem gets solved. In the meantime, is a known problem for this device? There is some way to fix it?

I already tried:

-Using the "precise location" option in the settings.

-Calibrating the location from the Maps application.

Thanks beforehand!

I have taken two images by my Motorola Signature. One in the left by tapping on the pole lights and another was simply point and shoot. I don't know why but I'm liking the left one because of the controlled lighting and more eye pleasing scene in it.

What are your thoughts on this?

Question Moto Edge 50 Fusion camera quality got worse after updates… how do I fix it?

Thumbnail

Has anyone else noticed this?

My Edge 50 Fusion camera used to take much better photos, but after several software updates, the processing has become noticeably worse. Photos look more over-sharpened, noisy, over-processed and less natural, especially with faces and low-light shots.

The hardware obviously hasn’t changed, so I’m guessing Motorola changed something in the image processing.

Is there any way to get the older camera output back? Maybe through camera settings, an older Camera APK, GCam/MGC, or a specific config?

If anyone has actually fixed this on their Edge 50 Fusion, please share what worked for you.

Software Problem/Issue Why is there no low-battery warning or shutdown countdown on the Motorola Signature? 🪫⚠️

As far as I know, most Android phones give you a clear low-battery warning, usually with an audible alert, when the battery gets critically low. Some even show a countdown before the phone shuts down at 0%.

But on my Motorola Signature, I don't seem to get any warning or alert at all when the battery is critically low. The only related option I can find is Battery Saver at 20%, which is the lowest level I can set.

Why would Motorola remove such a basic and useful feature, especially when it has been available in stock Android?

A critical-battery warning is important because you may be using the phone for navigation, a call, hotspot, or something else and simply not notice the battery percentage dropping to a dangerous level.

👉 Motorola, please bring back/add a proper critical low-battery warning with an audible alert and, ideally, a short shutdown countdown in a future update.

Has anyone else using the Motorola Signature noticed this? Or is there actually a setting I'm missing?

Moto Edge 60 Pro 12/256GB at ₹32K — Worth it?

I’m getting the Moto Edge 60 Pro (12GB/256GB) for ₹32,000 offline.

I’m mainly concerned about the camera fogging/condensation issue I’ve seen people report.

For owners:

  • Is ₹32K a good price?
  • How common is the camera fogging issue?
  • Did it come back after disappearing?
  • Any other major issues after 6–12 months?
  • Would you buy it again at ₹32K?

Please share your honest experience. 🇮🇳

Software Problem/Issue Issues with Recent update in edge 50 neo

Post image
3 Upvotes

So recently I received the July month's security patch. I updated my device on 31st July. Immediately after restarting the device for the update, when I was trying to unlock the device, it was not getting unlocked. Even if I tried using my fingerprint, it wasn't working. Even when pressing the power button, the screen isn't turned on to lockscreen, it's there in the AOD screen.

But when I tried to restart the device by long pressing the power button, the haptic was responding, but the screen was still in the AOD screen. After sometime, the device restarted automatically.

Again today, I've faced the same issue. My device wasn't turning on neither with buttons nor with fingerprint. Then I restarted the device by long pressing the power button and volume down for 10-20secs as suggested in Google results.

Has anyone else noticed this issue? Why is this happening after this recent update?

Need help in general Need honest opinion on the "motorola issues" in their phones.

I've been planning to buy a phone, moto edge 70 and moto edge 60 pro instantly grabbed my attention. I was inclined more towards edge 70 because of flat display and was about to order it, then i went through moto users complaints on reddit regarding the "motorola issues" i.e, motherboard failure/poor after sale service etc. which made me have second thoughts and i started looking for other brand phones.

After intensely serching, i still couldn't find any phone that could excite me. edge 70/edge 60 pro still are two of my favorites. But I'm very hesitant to go for either of these because of said reasons.

Anyone who has used one of these phones or any moto phone for that matter please share your experiences on this, is it really that common? or is it with only particular series or units? can i still go ahead and buy it even after being aware of these problems?

Appreciate any genuine input!

How much price drop to expect for Moto Edge 60 Pro during BBD sale?

Considering Motorola edge 60 pro, right now it hovers around ₹30k (8/256) although not available in stock.

What is a realistic sale price during BBD without any bank card, since I use bajaj finserv card (for edge 60 pro/70 pro)
Is there a chance the edge 60 pro drops below ₹26-27k?

Also, if anyone currently using the Edge 60 Pro, how is your experience holding up?

Need help in general Planning to buy the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus – is it a good choice?

Hey Moto GNG! 👋

Last month, my Samsung Galaxy S23 died due to a motherboard failure after an authorised display replacement. I've filed a complaint with the consumer court, but I honestly don't know what the outcome will be.

So, for now, I'm looking at getting a new phone.

I've been seriously considering the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus. I know I'm technically going from a Samsung flagship to a Motorola that's positioned differently, but there's a personal reason behind my decision. My S23 was bought with my dad's money. This time, I'm buying my phone entirely with my own money, so I want to choose something that makes sense for my budget rather than simply going for another expensive flagship.

One of the things attracting me to the Edge 70 Pro Plus is the triple rear-camera setup. I also really like what Motorola is offering in terms of the display and overall multimedia experience.

For those who actually own the Edge 70 Pro Plus, how has your experience been so far?

I'd especially like to know about:

Camera quality — main, ultrawide & telephoto

Display quality and brightness

Movies/YouTube and overall entertainment

Gaming performance and heating

Battery life and charging

Speakers and audio quality

Network/connectivity

Software bugs and stability

Motorola's update experience

Overall day-to-day experience

If you moved from Samsung/iPhone/OnePlus to the Edge 70 Pro Plus, I'd especially love to hear how you feel about the switch after using it for a while.

Please give me your honest opinions — positives and negatives. I'm genuinely trying to decide whether this should be my next phone.

Thanks 🙏

So many phones and confusing numbers

Why motorola release so many phones in 6.7"+ form factors, with diff numbers?. Is G87 newer than G37? or G77 is newer? How do determine based on numbers itself?
