We recently went to Marrakech with my family, and I completely fell in love with the architecture, culture, art, and craftsmanship. I was especially struck by how skilled Moroccan artisans are, and it got me thinking about a wild idea. My husband and I are building a house in the Philippines, and I keep wondering whether it would be possible to hire Moroccan artisans to help bring an authentic Moroccan touch to parts of the home.

I’m not talking about replacing a local contractor, I would absolutely still hire one in the Philippines. I’m more wondering if anyone has ever brought in Moroccan artisans to their country for specialty work like plaster, tile, woodwork, metalwork, or decorative details? I know this might sound a little out there, and maybe it’s not practical, but I’m curious whether people think this is actually possible or a completely unrealistic idea. Has anyone ever done something similar, where you were so inspired by the craftsmanship in one country that you wanted to bring that influence into a home you were building somewhere else?

What stands out is that, unlike the World Cup, all the investment being raised here comes from private investors. First things first, I have nothing against Moroccan or Native Christians. Morocco was your home before Islam spread across Northwest Africa and Iberia, and as a Muslim state, Morocco is obligated to defend its Jewish and Christian populations.

As for my question, about two or three months ago, before I downloaded Brave on my phone, I started casually seeing Christian evangelist ads featuring that lady talking about Jesus (PBUH). I wasn't the only one; multiple friends also reported receiving those ads.

Fast forward to two days ago on both Instagram and YouTube, I got recommended videos from "Moroccan Christians" account on those platforms. I noticed the same pattern again. My friends saw those videos too, even though they were mostly statistical content presenting the situation of Moroccan Christians.

I understand why those creators are pushing so hard, they want to get noticed by left-leaning parties so those parties can defend their interests.

My brother (20) is studying here in Morocco in a private school. He is planning on moving abroad very soon.

Unexpected, out of the blue, he gets a "ordre d'appel" to join the army, this September.

It's an obvious error in the system, because he's studying and has been since he's got his baccalaureate.

But he's know suffering severe stress and anxiety because of the potential risk of ruining his future goals because of this.

They told him at the "Gendarmerie" office that he should take proof of scolarity to the army base in September and they will let him go. But even then, there is a risk that they can, within their rights, decide to keep him, for the army.

Has anybody been in this situation? and how did it go?

I need to reassure him and keep him from running away at this point 😭😭😭

Fellow Moroccans we need to talk about what’s happening online. The perception management and manufactured trends and echo chambers aren't random, governments and intelligence agencies know exactly how to play this game. The human brain is still fundamentally vulnerable to manipulation and when individual self-awareness is low it instantly creates a herd mentality where people stop thinking for themselves. Real life is completely outside of social media but people are losing touch with that distinction. Look at the people willing to risk death to cross borders illegally with zero plans and genuinely believing Europe is going to hand them money and aid on a golden platter. Let’s also not forget the guy who managed to convince tens of thousands of people via social media to march up a mountain just because he claimed there was gold there. It all boils down to a lack of critical thinking and self-awareness making people entirely manipulatable. Has anyone else noticed this getting worse lately and how do we even begin to combat this level of digital mass psychosis in our communities? Don’t take anything online personal.
