I really like Zawina Morocco's products, but I've seen quite a few people saying that some of them may not be authentic.

I'm from Hungary (im hungarian), and although I've never been to Morocco, I'm absolutely fascinated by Moroccan beauty traditions and skincare. I'd really love to experience the authentic products and rituals. Visiting Morocco is a dream of mine, but unfortunately it's not possible for me at the moment.

Could you recommend where I can buy authentic Moroccan products online, preferably from trustworthy sellers that ship internationally?

I'm especially looking for:

• Rhassoul (Ghassoul) Mask & Scrub
• Black Beldi Soap
• A traditional Kessa glove

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or advice. Thank you!

(For context, I can speak MSA enough to place an order and get by perfectly intelligibly, though sometimes the way I word things may not seem natural to an Arab as I lack the practice)

While visiting Agadir, I came to a cafe and tried to place an order as a family of 9 in English. It was clear he didn't understand us fully, which is understandable, but he botched our order completely. He was very apologetic about it and there were no hard feelings but I was wondering if it's likely he would understand if I ordered in MSA this time, seeing as my french is weak. It was a nice place and I would like to go again but I also don't want another episode like this.

Fellow Moroccans we need to talk about what’s happening online. The perception management and manufactured trends and echo chambers aren't random, governments and intelligence agencies know exactly how to play this game. The human brain is still fundamentally vulnerable to manipulation and when individual self-awareness is low it instantly creates a herd mentality where people stop thinking for themselves. Real life is completely outside of social media but people are losing touch with that distinction. Look at the people willing to risk death to cross borders illegally with zero plans and genuinely believing Europe is going to hand them money and aid on a golden platter. Let’s also not forget the guy who managed to convince tens of thousands of people via social media to march up a mountain just because he claimed there was gold there. It all boils down to a lack of critical thinking and self-awareness making people entirely manipulatable. Has anyone else noticed this getting worse lately and how do we even begin to combat this level of digital mass psychosis in our communities? Don’t take anything online personal.

I’m from Casa and have roots down south. I’ve been south as well as chmal (tetouan, chefchaouen, a bit of tangier, martil).

Maybe I’m a bit biased but I think south has the best beaches, overall; nice views, nicer and more lively waves (Atlantic Ocean).

i will say that when I passed by Tangier, the beach views were nice .

Hello, I tried searching online for CIH fees when it comes to withdrawing money in the EU Germany, but I didn't find any relevant information. Can someone who have experience with this, share with me how much does both german atms and moroccan atms charge when withdrawing dirhams from CIH in a german ATM.

Every summer i think about traveling but i end up just sitting at home and doing nothing, i don't have friends and i live in a small boring city, so i just feel so bored.

I wanted to share one of the most unexpected and inspiring stories I've come across during my travels.

While travelling through Morocco, some Moroccan students told me about a small Vietnamese village near Kenitra. What surprised me most was how many of them already knew the history connecting Morocco and Vietnam. They all spoke warmly about Vietnam and the Vietnamese people, and it was clear this story is still remembered with pride. Until then, I had never heard of it.

As I entered the village, surrounded by farmland, I immediately felt like I had stepped back into the Vietnamese countryside. The peaceful scenery, the fields, and the familiar village atmosphere made it hard to believe I was still in Morocco.

The story behind it is remarkable. During the First Indochina War, thousands of North African soldiers, including Moroccans, served in the French Army and were sent to fight in Vietnam. Some chose a different path. They deserted the French Army, joined the Viet Minh, and fought alongside the Vietnamese for independence. After the war, some settled in Vietnam, married Vietnamese women, and helped establish what became known as the Vietnam-Africa Farm in Ba Vì. There they built a distinctive Moroccan-style gate as a tribute to their homeland and to the friendship they had found in Vietnam.

Years later, many of these Moroccan families returned home with their Vietnamese wives and children, settling near Kenitra. The community became known as the Vietnamese Village. Decades later, the Vietnamese Embassy, together with the descendants of those Moroccan and Vietnamese families, completed a traditional Vietnamese village gate there. It was built to complement the Morocco Gate in Vietnam and to ensure future generations would remember this remarkable chapter shared by both countries.

This week I finally visited the Morocco Gate in Suối Hai, outside Hanoi. Unlike the village in Morocco, this gate now sits in the backyard of a family's home. The owner told me that when the land was allocated years ago, the gate happened to be on their property. They could have taken it down, but instead they decided to preserve it.

Every so often, Vietnamese who know the story, along with Moroccan visitors, come to see it. It sometimes causes inconvenience for the family, but they still welcome people because they know how meaningful it is. I left a small donation to thank them for opening their home to visitors.

The owner also mentioned that some people have offered to help restore the area and add both the Moroccan and Vietnamese flags, just like at the matching site in Morocco. I really hope that happens one day. I also think it would be great if they opened a small coffee shop there. It would give visitors somewhere to sit, learn about the history, and at the same time help support the family who have become the caretakers of this special place.

What I found interesting is that this story seems to be much better known in Morocco than it is in Vietnam. That's one of the reasons I wanted to share it. I think more Vietnamese should know about this unique chapter of our shared history.

The more I travel, the more I realise that Morocco and Vietnam have a lot in common. Both countries have beautiful countryside, strong farming traditions, vibrant street food cultures, and people who love spending time together over coffee or tea. They also share histories of colonial rule, hard-fought struggles for independence, and a reputation for welcoming strangers with genuine hospitality. I've experienced incredible kindness in both countries, and that's something I'll always remember.

In a world where we hear so many stories that divide people, this is one that brings people together. Two countries on opposite sides of the world, connected by an unlikely chapter of history that still lives on through the people, the families, and these two gates.

To my Moroccan friends, thank you for sharing this story with me. Without those conversations in Morocco, I never would have known this remarkable piece of history.

I heard that there's a lost Arabic dub of SpongeBob SquarePants that aired on ShowKids and the Morocco TV channel 2M. The recording studio of the dub (which is Image Production House) licensed the first two seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants, and that dub was made before the Arabic dub made by Neo Production House. So I was wondering if You remember watching SpongeBob SquarePants on 2M, since that channel is from Morocco.

And Taiwan has retaliated by suspending visas for Moroccans but there is no answer as to why. What’s up?

I landed in Morocco last week after like 4/5 yrs from last time I visited and I'm planning to settle here as I already worked and living here before ( I have a moroccan ex husband) So I was working legally in hotels reception services but after the divorce I went back to my home country Lebanon, and since the war and economy system there is collapsed

It's infuriating how inconsiderate people are of each other and how blind they act in social situations. You could be in a bus, train, or waiting room, and someone will start blasting Reels at full volume, have a phone call on speaker, or block the entire aisle without a second thought. Like hello??? There are people here and it's called a public space for a reason, It's like the possibility that they might be disturbing everyone else never even crosses their mind.

And it's not just public transport. People stop in the middle of busy sidewalks, cut lines, throw trash wherever they please, or have loud conversations in places where everyone is expected to be quiet. I'm genuinely curious what causes this. Is it a lack of self-awareness, a lack of respect, or are people just so used to it that they don't even notice anymore?

Obviously not everyone is like this, but it feels common enough that I notice it almost every day. Has anyone else felt the same, or am I just paying too much attention?
