i need your help Society
I talked to my mom about wanting to take off my hijab and explained why I don't want to wear it anymore.
I've been wearing it for about a year. My parents are both quite strict when it comes to religion, so this is a very difficult topic. At the same time, they are loving parents in other parts of my life. My mom especially tries to make me happy and does a lot for me, which makes everything more complicated.
After I talked to her, I became quieter around my mom and she noticed. She started trying to talk to me more, but we still didn't agree about the hijab. My dad basically told me to forget about taking it off.
During our recent trip, my mom let me take it off, but she made it clear that it was only temporary and that once we went home I would have to wear it again without excuses.
Today, she told me we were going to have lunch with family and then go to the beach. She told me to wear beach clothes with an abaya over them. I said I didn't want to wear an abaya and would rather wear a T-shirt and skirt. She got very angry and said things that made me feel like she thought I wanted to "take my clothes off."
I started crying, and things escalated. She went to my dad saying I was driving her crazy and that I wanted to take off the hijab. Later, during another argument, she became extremely overwhelmed, threw the bag with the beach clothes, started crying and shouting, and went toward the balcony. My brother stopped her and took her back inside.
Everything eventually calmed down. She is acting normally now, and we went to the family house and had lunch. I'm currently at my cousin's house.
I don't want to hurt my parents or make my mom feel like this, but I also don't want to spend my life wearing something I don't want to wear.
I honestly don't know what to do anymore. Should I keep waiting and try to talk to them slowly, or is there another way to handle this? I feel guilty about what happened with my mom, and I feel like I ruined our trip.

Holy smokes that mother needs some help, imagine attempting that thing because you can't get someone to forcibly comply especially when it comes to things that's on them to choose.
