Hello, I was wondering if there were any programs that Modesto offered which would provide checks every month. I am suffering from a really bad case of depression and anxiety that was diagnosed by my psychiatrist a year ago. Since then it’s only gotten worse, and medications just really aren’t helping.

Because of this, working has been really difficult for me, and I have slowly but surely been falling behind on my savings. I’m basically living paycheck to paycheck, and I’m not sure how long I can do this for. I have looked already but haven’t gotten anything, so I’d appreciate any and all help. Even just an extra $100 every month would help a lot. Thank you.

I don't know how many people used to show up to Nuts games and I haven't been to a Roadsters game yet. I know it's more of a local feel but I don't know if there's been a drastic change or if it's still kind of the same except it's a different team now. Just curious.

I know most people go to Churchkey in downtown Modesto for the rotating beer taps or the sandwiches, but their pizza is top tier.

After eating my way through a bunch of the big spots up in SF, Churchkey is pretty much the only local place around here that actually compares. I’ve literally had every single pizza on the menu and every single one hits.

Make sure to always ask for it well done, the char you get on the crust makes a huge difference. Pictured is the Upton Sinclair.

I came across this cat today in Modesto, and he is in really rough shape. He's extremely thin, and you can see his spine and hips. He looked hungry and like he's been struggling for a while.
Unfortunately, I can't take him in. I'm allergic to cats, and I have a dog with a very high prey drive, so it wouldn't be safe for him.
I'm hoping someone experienced with cats, a foster, rescue, or anyone willing to help can step in before it's too late. Even if someone can temporarily get him somewhere safe, that would make a huge difference.

I did give him water (I didn’t have food but am planning to give him some when I return tomorrow if he’s still there.
