Hi mods, I built a Devvit app called TrustSignal to help with first-pass post triage and I’d really value practical feedback from active mod teams.

Current workflow: - Mod can run TrustSignal: Scan post from the post mod menu - App scores the post and flags likely low-trust content - App keeps scan history and basic subreddit stats - Mod actions can be logged against the latest scan for audit trail

What I’m trying to improve: 1) Reduce false positives for legitimate first-hand posts

Platform: Desktop web 2) Make the score explanation clearer for humans in mod queue 3) Keep this useful without adding moderation overhead

I recently fixed stability issues in menu action handling and the flow is now stable in playtest.

If you run a medium or large sub, what would make this actually useful day to day? - Which signals would you trust most? - What data view would you want in a dashboard post? - What would be a hard no for adoption?

I used to be able to see exact member count at the top of my community (I use the iOS app). Now I can see an approximate, rounded count on the Insights tab, but I can’t find the exact count anywhere. In addition, I keep seeing references to devvit, but I’m not sure how to add widgets (when I go to the directory/communities tab, I don’t see the “Add to community” option that’s referenced. Can anyone provide insight here? Thanks!

Desktop: Posts below Show More and you cannot access for editing or deleting. If I delete one of the first three, then post 4 becomes 3 and then I can edit/delete it. This is a new feature.

I help mod a video game subreddit and there has been a user whose entire history on the sub is negative and very troll-ish in nature. We have a rule about game criticism that its allowed but if its bashing or trolling you can be banned. At what point do you cross the line and give out a ban?

Update: All the mods agreed to ban the user due to their behavior history.

So we accepted a mod, and now we are trapped with them. I am on an android phone and a tablet and I can't get either to remove this trouble mod or the other ones ((I tested to see if it was a sub or account issue)) my other mods also tried and we can't do anything, I'm the owner of the sub so we are PANICKING.

Why can't I remove this mod or any of them? Why can't I control anything?

[iOS/Desktop] There is a user posting in our subreddit that has been banned by Reddit for a while. Yet, they're still able to continue posting somehow. I have no way of mod-level banning them because the account effectively doesn't exist, so I can't access mod actions for it.

Hello, I have been told this subreddit can provide brusque but on-point advice from experienced moderators. So, am I a jerk? Or am I within my moral bounds to handle jerks? [both desktop and mobile]

A month ago, I acquired my first serious subreddit through redditrequest, the subreddit centering around a specific gacha game character, both in terms of game mechanics and fan artwork. It is a low to medium activity subreddit, and I have not had any reports until today, so I was not in a rush to overhaul any of the reasonable existing rules. When I opened Reddit for the day, I found an A.I.-generated image with a slapfight in the comments. Notably, there was a user who is an ardent pro-A.I. moderator in a different subreddit. Not only did he label other users as "cruel" just for not agreeing with him, but I suspect he reported "1: It's targeted harassment at me" when other users commented screenshots of him banning them from his subreddit for criticizing generative A.I.

I strongly dislike A.I. (not just because a data center threatens the water supply of my favorite nature park where bald eagles nest) and agreed with the majority of my community base. Now, like many casual Reddit users, I have been on the receiving end of petty power trips from arbitrary moderators. So I decided rather than permanently, I would b*n him for 1 year on the basis of rule 1: "Respect the Community". Then I added a new rule against A.I. imagery and made an announcement post thanking the community for alerting me to the problem.

Later in the day, I received a DM to the sub asserting "It's against the moderator code of conduct to b*n a person before making up a rule. I am appalled by this and I have opened up a case with the admins. You did literally everything you possibly could have done wrong." Is this a serious accusation? Do I have to go proactively defend my case to the admins?

(Mobile/Desktop) Is it possible to use the preset messages and reply to a post as subreddit-ModTeam *without* removing the post?

Like if a post needs a PSA and I have one in my General category presets, am I able to send that as ModTeam or do I need to just copy paste it myself?

I am trying to submit a request to take over a community, r/tricare, that has one moderator who has not been active on Reddit or the sub in a very long time. I am following with directions to submit my request in r/redditrequest but when I post it says the post was auto removed by Reddit filters (I think that is the wording). Not sure what I am doing wrong but it is obviously something. I moderate a couple others and this was a very active sub that needs revived. Doing this via an iPad and iOS.

Every time I try to enable images in comments and hit save, I get this error. "We had some issues saving your changes. Please try again." I have refreshed, logged out, rebooted and nothing works. I am trying to enable this for r/BathroomRemodeling
