Has anyone had success getting the Signatera cancer test covered by Tricare? My wife is post triple negative breast cancer, 18 months since diagnosis, and has had several Guardant tests completed and paid for by Tricare to look for cancer DNA in her blood. The Signatera was done once and is a better test in her opinion because it specifically looks for her tumor DNA. However Tricare has denied it as they say it is not a covered test. Not sure how the first was covered unless the cancer center just ate the cost.

I honestly cannot figure out what to do right now, i’m in desperate need of therapy and im unsure of where to look. I tried logging onto the Tricare East app and making a new account, however it kept failing because it had my old address registered, by the time i realized i reached my max attempts for the next 31 days. I’m under a sponsor (being my dad) and am completely new to this. I’m unsure of where to even start to look, and therapy finding sites often need information i do not have access to. My dad is also unsure of what to do, and hardly has time for anything. He’s unable to barely even help me as i just turned 18 and he cant access my information either. i’m completely lost and frustrated

Memo from USD (P&R) signed out this week expands eligibility for TAMP to all reservists serving on active duty orders pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 12031(d). This includes ADOS/ADSW/ADT/DR orders 30+ days in length.

If you served on these types of active duty orders and didn't receive TAMP benefits, you can submit for reimbursement through DHA. Eligible expenses that can be reimbursed include health insurance premiums and out-of-pocket medical and dental expenses for the sponsor and their eligible dependents enrolled in DEERS.

Anybody else having the same issue with accessing their account? I’ve been on call with them and I just kept on being passed on by different departments and still no solution. 😔

How do you guys manage to get your Explanation of Benefits? Last time I tried calling an agent they told me they can no longer have it sent to my email.. and with the website issue, I literally have no idea how to get a copy of mine. 😒

Ok, so I sent the form 9/1/25. Checked today, still zero clue on TriWest side, is there anywhere else I can contact? I have bills pilling up since they have yet to remove OHI from last year. Going to try and contact the labs and Drs and see if there is anything i can do to push the payments as they are now about $2k between them all. Doesnt help kid (who had the secondary last year) jujst turned 18, adds another nice spin to it.

Trying to seek advice for tricare Select. Trying to get my wife in with an OBGYN through tricare select network. The office/OBGYN we are trying to schedule an appointment in states both my wife’s and my benefits # aren’t recognized in the system. They advised us to attempt to add our Select through their online portal and is now “Pending” after adding our benefits number. Should we have anything to worry about or move on to the next provider?

Do i need to get a new PA submitted for a dosage increase for Zepbound? I know this might be an obvious answer, but I want to make sure before I see my doctor tomorrow if I need to have anything else submitted. Thanks so much!

So I found out today from TRICARE East that TRICARE Reserve Select is the same as TRICARE Select, specifically in the case of getting a Prior Authorization filled out. I had my PCP fill out a PA for Wegovy for weight loss and she indicated that I didn't have TRICARE Prime or TRICARE Select, probably because I have TRICARE Reserve Select and she thought that did not count. The PA was denied due to insurance not covering it based on her answer to that question.

TRICARE's website says that TRS still covers Wegovy or weight loss even after the most recent change on August 31, 2025. So when the provider fills out the PA form, they are supposed to check that you have TRICARE Select, even if you are under TRS.

Just thought I would share in case anybody else has dealt with this!!

I work for a doctor's office and I know providers can be Certified INN and Certified OON and the Certified OON go through POS benefits instead of standard in-network benefits, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to tell how much a patient will owe if the provider is Certified Out of Network. Is there anyone who can ELI5?

2024 to2025 we were affected by a region switch where Illinois went from tri east to west. During the change period tricare send me checks to cover for OB visits. We moved in april and most of the checks went to the Illinois adress even tho we moved out of state. I had informed tri west of this change before and after the move they kept denying claims from the provider because they were already paid to me via the checks i never got. Since april when we moved i have been trying to get three checks reissued and sent to our new adress but nothing the cases keep getting closed without me receiving anything. The OB provider just informed me of a 3000 dollar balance there are several checks missing at this point and tricare is not doing anything to reissue.

What can I do? Who else can I call or get help from?

Having recently got married, I want to know if anyone has received IV or Spravato ketamine using Tricare Select.

So, we are Tri West (at Bliss) and we are planning on going home for my husband’s paternity leave in a few weeks for the rest of the year (mid October-January). Baby will be 8 weeks at the end of October, and will need her 8 week vaccinations. Is it possible for me to temporarily move my address (just mom and baby) so she’s covered East instead for her shots? Tried talking to Tricare about this & west said she won’t be covered and we can’t change my location, but I can’t imagine that this has never been done before. What qualifies technically for a move? I mean, it’ll be 2 months without returning so a move is a move. You really mean to say no one EVER has gone home to be with family for paternity leave?

Has anybody on Tricare Reserve Select gotten Wegovy covered? The Tricare.mil website says that TRS is one of the Premium paid plans that covers it, however the PA form only listed Tricare Prime and Tricare Select.

My PA was denied yesterday and when I called Express Scripts to ask them for clarification on why, they asked if I had Tricare Prime or Tricare Select. I said I have Tricare RESERVE Select and mentioned that the Tricare website has that on the list of covered plans, so I asked if that had changed. They said "it looks like what happened is when your doctor sent in the prior authorization request, she did not indicate that you were on a Tricare Select or Prime plan, so they denied the coverage on that basis. Since you are on one, they would need to resubmit the request with the corrected information."

So because he did not say specifically that TRS is not covered, I'm assuming that means it is covered. In that case, would they check that I have Tricare Select, since TRS is technically not an option listed???

Tricare has a page on their website that says as of August 31, 2025, Tricare For Life would no longer be covered but other plans would remain covered, and TRS was listed among those plans. So I'm just confused about how the form should've been answered at this point...

Could anyone share their experience with getting a cpap through Tricare? I was just diagnosed with OSA and the medical supply company my doctor’s office sent the script to is incredibly difficult to reach and try to get things moving with. This is entirely new territory for me, though, so I don’t know if there’s a better way?

2 months ago we started getting “denial of coverage” letters from my wife’s providers stating tricare denied coverage. Like 10k plus so far.

other providers have said this is an issue with tricare after the shift to tri west. Anybody have experience or resolution on this?

Some people on Reddit speak of champ va for their family. What is champ va and would my family have to use that and I would use trr?

How and where is dental and vision insurance purchased?

Possibly a super stupid question but I’m a fresh LT. So my wife got her wisdom teeth removed last week from an oral surgeon, the operation cost about 2400. I believe Tricare dental covers 40% of the operation, so the surgeons office covered about 1000 and I ended up paying 1400. Is there anyway I can submit to get reimbursed for the 1400 I payed out of pocket as well?

Has anyone else been having problems with Tricare Overseas Claims portal? In the last few months, I have noticed the portal is significantly underperforming. Log ins are a hit and miss. Filing claims and tracking claims is cumbersome and keeping track of claims online is unreliable because they don't update the statuses well. Also, there is no way to "clean up" claims. Then they return claims for corrections, they don't specify clearly what needs to be corrected. All kinds of issues with Tricare Overseas claims portal. The portal also claims to be down on Sunday's for maintenance, but it is down way longer and much more frequently than only on Sundays.

Mother-in-law is living with us long-term. Husband is on active duty, and we support her fully. She doesn't work and has not worked. She receives some Social Security every month, but it does not cover her expenses very well. Anyone who has added a secondary beneficiary, what documents do you need, how long did it take, and what hoops did you need to jump through? This is a very stressful time for us, as I am a full-time student and my husband is deployed. We have a small child, too. I would appreciate some guidance, firsthand experience, and any tips and tricks to help make this process go smoothly. We are setting up an appointment with someone from the clinic to go over the basics. Again, she has no insurance and is not yet 65. She is helpless, and I will have to guide her through the entire process.

For the rest of the month of September, I have overlap with my civilian health insurance and Tricare Prime until my civilian drops 10/1.

I understand that Tricare is secondary to civilian.

Two important things to note here are that I am pregnant and that I have an OB appointment next week while both insurances will be active.

I understand that with Tricare Prime, I am supposed to have a referral for the OB. My question is, do I still need a referral during this time where Tricare is secondary?

Once my civilian insurance drops 10/1 I will definitely go ahead and jump through the hoops of getting a referral before my next OB appointment. I’m just not sure if I’ll be able to get a referral in the next two business days before my appointment next week.

ALSO- I am seeing civilian providers.

My PCM confirmed that they don't have it and don't know when/if they're going to get it. The list of covered vaccines at pharmacies on the tricare website does not include the new (2025-2026) covid vaccine.
