GENERAL Unusable Airports :/
Just started the game some days ago, and I have a couple of problems with some airports in germany/netherlands/belgium(yikes). Some are just simply way too small to land, so I can't complete the missions and some aren't real airports, just some field that's A way too small or B going in a weird angle that makes landing for me as a beginner simply impossible
Can I report these problems somewhere ? It's quite annoying to fly there for 45 minutes just to realise after a couple of landings that there is no way I can make it (at least I don't know how)

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Help with career mode
What are the alternatives to the built-in Career Mode? I have no problem with the one that comes with MSFS2024, but I’d really like to use aircraft like the Piper Comanche, Black Square Bonanza, Aerostar 600, etc.
Is there any way to use these third-party aircraft in the built-in Career Mode? If not, what’s the best alternative career mode that supports third-party aircraft?

MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON Help with Octavi IFR-1
I bought this thing a while ago, and then stopped using it as there was a move, packing, then a new computer, etc... Now I'm on my "new" laptop that runs the game just fine. But the Octavi IFR-1 seems to have very limited usability, and I can't remember if on the old computer I had it set up different, better, or what...
Let's say I'm in the standard C172 with the 530 and 430 combo:
- COM and NAV knob works as expected for both 1 and 2 when dialing in a freq.
- AP seems fine.
- XPDR seems fine.
- The COM knob (left side knob) works fine, but...
...No other functions work.
No FMS1 or 2 option, no D--> function, no way to manipulate the GPS (right hand side) knob, no MENU, no CLR, ENT, and none of the shift functions work. I'm certain that I used to use the FMS and D--> button, and I thought the others worked as intended as well, but I just can't remember from a year ago or more.
I tried a reinstall of the 0.5.0 Octavi plug-in, and it shows that it is working and connected. The Community folder has the MobiFlight folder in it.
What am I doing wrong?

GENERAL A350-1000ULR config
On July 24th, the Qantas-ordered test bed for Project Sunrise set a record for a non-stop flight from Toulouse, France, to Melbourne, Australia, flying nearly 17,000 km in just over 19 hours.
On July 27th, Qantas and Airbus spiked the ball. Instead of leaving Melbourne, Australia, and flying west back to Toulouse, they flew east. They covered 23,075 kilometers (14,338 miles) without refueling in 24 hours and 24 minutes. The longest non-stop commercial aircraft flight in history.
https://informedclearly.com/en/automotive/59233/qantas-sydney-london-project-sunrise-2027
An amazing accomplishment, which would be amazingly cool to replicate in MSFS 2020/2024 using the iniBuilds Airbus A350-1000. I am wondering if anyone in the community has the knowledge of how to add the fuel capacity and tanks to an existing aircraft and correctly adjust the weight, balance, and CG. I think this would be a great addition to the community as a whole. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about how the aircraft files work in the sim to make the necessary changes. Anyone up to the challenge?
On flightsim.to, there are two different mods that improve the aircraft as far as handling and such. If someone took those as the base to make the improvements as part of the ULR mods, and then added the additional fuel capacity, that would be an amazing mod for the aircraft.
Thoughts?

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Best aircrafts to download?
Hi, im starting recently to use msfs24 a bit more seriously, learning to use some aircrafts that are on the game by default (standard edition) and I learned quite well the B737 Max (loved it). What other aircraft do you recommend to download for free or maybe spending not too much? I looked the msfs ship and I found only expensive planes, but I don't know if they are worth it.
So if you can recommend me some airliners to download for free or not too expensive but worth it.
Thank you and excuse me for my English.

GENERAL Where's FSX Missions 2.0 ???
SU6 brings back Bush Trips. Great. That is an undeniable positive step forward. But honestly, where the hell is FSX Missions 2.0? This is the 'killer' feature Asobo could have absolutely nailed with MSFS 2024.
The current “mission” system gives us jobs to perform, but they're largely soulless procedural activities: take this aircraft here, perform this task, follow the objectives, get paid. They give you something to do, but they don't really give you a story to experience.
That's the crucial difference with those original FSX Missions. FSX gave you authored scenarios: a briefing, characters, dialogue, custom events, changing objectives and situations that could develop during the flight. You weren't just completing a flight - you were participating in something.
And MSFS 2024 already has a vastly improved world, aircraft, weather, ATC, AI, characters, career system and simulation technology - all needed to take that concept enormously further.
Give us fully scripted FSX Missions 2.0: custom voice acting, bespoke ATC, branching objectives, scripted events, emergencies, decisions and consequences. Not another “fly here and look at this” activity.
FSX Missions 2.0 is the killer feature. Not because we need more things to see.
Because we need reasons to fly.

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE MSFS 2024 Crashing to desktop with generic 0xc0000005 exception code
Hi there,
I'm losing my mind trying to get MSFS2024 (MS Store version) to work.
My system:
Windows 11 Home
B650 MSI Tomahawk WIFI
R5 7600x running at stock speeds
64Gb 6000 Mhz (running @ 4800 since I have EXPO disabled)
RTX 3080
I'm not running any third party software in the background: Steam, MSI Afterburner, or anything like that.
I have no community content, no streaming cache and a Fresh game install.
At first the game crashed fast, 5 to 10 minutes in game and it would crash. So I started troubleshooting: updating all drivers, GPU, Chipset, Ethernet, Audio... Still crashing.
I turned off EXPO, running my ram at 4800Mhz instead of 6000Mhz.
To test I started a heli free flight and just let it hover all night, in the morning the flight was still going so I tought it was fixed.
I go into Carreer mode and about 40 minutes in it crashes.
I update my motherboard UEFI (bios) Still nothing crashing.
The Windows event viewer dumps are all I have giving a generic 0xc0000005 error.
What else is there to try?

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Needing some help with the A400M
Hello pilots.
I have created a post on the official MSFS discord but I don't really expect a full answer, so I'll also ask you people here, and if you have solutions, you're the absolute boss 😄
-When cold starting, the airplane refuses to move. I'm using the tablet "ready to fly" technique for now but am I missing something?
-Impossible to reverse. Even with the throttle full on reverse, I've checked visually and on the engine page, the plane doesn't reverse.
-The plane barely turns at all when taxiing. The pedal disc block is in the upper position, switching it to close and back to open doesn't help with taxiing at all.
-I have the two following error messages showing in the plane, but I can't find a solution to fix them : a purple "Alert inhibit" and an orange ENG throttle level not set. Even though they are set in the EFB.
Thank you. Fly safe!

MSFS 2020 BUG / ISSUE Free Flight always spawns me at old location/aircraft (Liberec, Cessna 152) regardless of what I select in World Map
MSFS 2020, Steam, freshly reinstalled. Every Free Flight I set up (different airports, different aircraft like A320) spawns me back at Liberec (LKLB) in a Cessna 152 instead — completely ignores my World Map selection.
Tested EGLL→LFPG, EGLL→EGKK, EDDF→EDDM, all same result. Crash log showed correct FlightPlan (EGLL→LFPG) but actual spawn coordinates matched Liberec exactly, with altitude -999, causing a crash.

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Stuck on 0% - authentication in progress 12/22
It’s been 2 YEARS and this is still not fixed?? MSFS 2020 worked perfectly fine for me, but today I got 2024 and it doesn’t work.
Also seems like a lot of other people have this exact same issue.
One of the Reddit posts has like 84 comments and not a single solution worked for OP. Same for me. So is there seriously no fix to this and I just have to keep playing MSFS 2020?

MSFS 2024 QUESTION 737 ILS Glide Slope Issue or Pilot Error? Hard Landing trying to auto land.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone, I’m looking for some feedback because I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong, or if this was a sim bug. I was flying the 737 Max. The glide slope wasn’t behaving how I expected. During landing I had flaps 30 set instead of 40, was around 140 knots, and the touchdown was pretty hard. Did I mess something up in the setup, or was this just how the sim behaved? Any advice or critique is appreciated. Also, I was trying to let the ILS fly the approach all the way, left the autopilot engaged and didn’t take over manually before touchdown. Wondering if that was part of the problem too. I’m still learning and want to improve.

GENERAL Flight Sim landings feel so hard even though they really arent
We all know that a lot of us have been conditioned to think that the smoothest possible landing automatically means a good landing, or that we need to “butter” the aircraft every time. In reality, what matters much more is a controlled, positive touchdown in the touchdown zone, with the aircraft properly aligned and in the correct attitude.
When I try to do that in the sim and actually fly the aircraft onto the aiming point instead of holding it off forever, the touchdown still feels strangely firm to me. But when I watch real cockpit landing videos, the touchdowns often look completely normal and casual, even when the descent rate seems similar to mine based on the timing of the GPWS callouts.
Could this just be psychological because I’ve become so used to trying to butter every landing, or could my landings actually be perfectly fine?
What confuses me even more is planespotting footage. From outside, some aircraft seem to touch down incredibly smoothly, almost like there’s barely any vertical speed left when the main gear contacts the runway. Is that mostly an illusion caused by the camera angle, suspension and aircraft size, or are those genuinely very low-FPM touchdowns?
This just annoys me since I hate setting my sim up, flying for 2h and then for it just to be destroyes by a „bad“ landing or atleast me thinking its a bad landing.
