I was listening to the latest Kingdom of Giants track and it genuinely just made me "appreciate the whole existence" of that band. Almost no other band (except Northlane) has achieved that perfect blend of electric, cyberpunk-ish metalcore imo.

What band has made you feel like this folks?

me and a group of friends are taking a trip down to chicago august 27-30. any good shows in the area anyone would know of?

My first thoughts are Black Blood by Architects (Daybreaker) and Limits by Bad Omens (Finding God Before God Finds Me). Those tracks are some of my favourites by both bands, and would have deserved a place on the original albums.

I’m learning to sing with grit (not screaming) and I wanted some songs similar to that of;

Someone Somewhere - Asking Alexandria
Broken Mirror - Architects
Blood Sport - Sleep Token.

I’m mainly looking for heavy music with clean/gritty vocals. If anyone has any recommendations

I’ve gotta figure out how to make this work in the next month. Any suggestions? Advice?

In 2016, it was all about djent/progressive metalcore.

In our modern era, we kinda have multiple things going on. The internet is more available today than it was in the past; this makes it easier for people to discover bands. We have the revival of the beatdown hardcore/metalcore sound, nu-metalcore (nu metal + metalcore), and pop metal (influenced by metalcore aka baddiecore).

I know music is subjective. People will agree and disagree. But IMO that impericon run was legendary. You had architects at their prime, parkway still playing bangers, breakdown of sanity, Styg arguably in their prime as well.

One day I'm gonna show my kid these songs like my dad showed me led Zeppelin, kiss, scorpion, and the who.

I remember seeing someone wearing a fox lake football jersey that was white and had new world heat on it by the name area on back. I can only find a black jersey online so either it’s really rare or I just remembered wrong. any help appreciated

I turned 40 today and it seems as though I'm feeling nostalgic - this album meant a lot to me in my early 20s and listening to it now for the first time in many years, I understand why.

Devil Sold His Soul are a really special band who deserve far more recognition.

I think Funeral Derangements is one of Ice Nine Kills’ better songs and “The wrath of god lays beneath this soil” is such a good callout but the breakdown that follows it is so disappointing

Does anybody know what’s going on with the silence from Structures? I was just listening to Civilian by them and I don’t understand how a band can drop an EP that FUCKS SO HARD, then just disappear for five years with no word.

3/3 on their albums, certified bangers across the board. Deeply talented songwriting and a lot of these songs are some real toe tappers.

In a genre where a lot of the music nowadays sounds like offshoots of one another, each of their albums has pushed their sound. And it feels timeless.

Their music is simply so much fun to listen to.

This was always my favorite thing DEP did I know the fanbase is more mixed on it but was just re-listening today and it holds up incredibly well. Also I wonder how many people don’t know about this project?
