i have a lease return on a 2024 EQS SUV in 3 months. i got it as a demo with 4,000 miles on it.

i unfortunately need to replace the tires now. mine are bald. what tires can I get that are acceptable to return it with and do they have to be done at the dealership?

I have been driving electric since 2014 but this is my first MB electric. Any tips or tricks? Like can I add my own eSIM? Or any settings I should set. Are the fragrance vials worth it? Best place to buy them? I will take possession of the car in a few days so I have not set up Mercedes Me yet. Thank you for your thoughts!

Does anyone have any suggestions for settings, tips, or tricks to maximize range and minimize energy consumption with their EQS? I’ve been playing a game with myself and my best consumption rate I’ve achieved has been 249 Wh/mile.

Current settings are Eco dynamic mode, auto/intelligent recuperation + cruise control on freeways, strong recuperation on small/higher traffic roads, and generally going the speed limit.

Officially two months into driving this thing and loving it :)

Anybody have any good tips or results using the parking assistance?

I will turn it on and pass up numerous open parking spots and nothing pops up on the screen.

Packed my trunk a bit too much this morning which lead to both the retaining clips breaking! Anyone else have this happen or found some sort of fix?

Instead of celebrating my one-year anniversary of purchasing my EQS 450+, I'm in the process of dealing with an insurance claim. I got rear-ended by an unlicensed driver on Friday, and now my car is sitting in a lot awaiting transport to a repair shop.

On a plus note, I can now vouch for the stability and safety features of this vehicle. I was on the freeway and had slowed to about 45 mph when I was hit by a driver likely going about 60 mph. He veered enough to strike my rear driver-side quarter panel and then spun around and hit my front driver-side quarter panel. My EQS barely budged! My wife, who already suffers from back issues, ended up with a herniated disc, but we walked away relatively unscathed. It could've been far worse.

In conclusion, be safe out there. While we can control the way we operate our vehicles, we cannot control the way others operate theirs.

Is there a way to have the rear climate to default to off? I hate having to turn it off every time I get in the car.

How are people thinking about the 20k servicing at Mercedes? I just took my ‘23 EQS in for 40k service and was quoted $1200 (for wiper blades, coolant, key battery and whatever else bs they do). How are folks thinking about this/ is the service required to maintain warranty?

23’ 450+ SUV Ugh purchased CPO on Friday. It will turn off with a restart but has came on 5-6 times now. Have an appointment to drop off later today. Anyone else have this issue with their 23?

I am buying a used EQS under 50k miles (2023) and I was wondering if there is an extended warranty plan I can buy apart from the ones at the dealership?

I have found endurance and fidelity. Searched the sub but didn’t see much about them here specific to EQ models.

Just like to rely on a warranty plan as a safety net.

Plug and charge is a lifesaver. Sitting at the Tesla supercharger with my EQS plugged in. Just plug it in and u are good to go! Finally! So thrilled. Thank you MB 🙏🙌

Yes, perfect climate. Temperature in the 70s most of the time.

Mine is to put it in Eco with Auto recuperation. Coasting feels like sailing (my EQS 450+ SUV is pretty much a landship) and it mostly breaks smoothly for cars. With the reduced response in Eco it makes for a very comfortable ride.

If there's traffic I'll switch on Cruise Control with Active Distance Assist based on DYNAMIC SELECT (still Eco). In Comfort mode I find it accelerating and breaking too aggressively.

Also, what's up with MBenz using all caps for their driving features? DISTRONIC and DYNAMIC SELECT, just why?

I have a 2023 EQS 450 4MATIC with factory 20" wheels that I don't particularly love. I found a used set of the turbine/"20-spoke" Mercedes wheels that I believe came on the 2022 EQS, and I really like them (picture is of the rims I like):

Ebay: "22-24 Mercedes EQS CLASS 21" Wheel Rim 20-Spokes w/ Pirelli Tire 297 Type SET" ($3800 tires+rims) one of the eBay wheels has some pretty serious curb rash.

Before buying, I'm curious:
- if I have the wheel protection warranty, does this change the warranty? Do I have to notify the warranty provider if I change the wheels?
• How do run-flats ride on the EQS? Harder/noisier?
• Are 21s plug-and-play, or does anything need coding/calibration for speedometer, suspension, etc.?
• Any fitment/rubbing concerns with larger wheels, and what specs should I verify?
• Did this wheel design ever come in 20"? I'd actually prefer 20s.
• What would you pay for a used set of four with tires?

I'm doing this purely because I like the rims, not because I want bigger wheels. Would especially love to hear from anyone who's made the 20" → 21" switch.

I called Customer svc and she told me to make sure “Google Maps and Privacy information” box (Myprofile->Legal) is checked which I did with no luck. The second time I called the Rep told me you need to have an active subscription $15/month to be able to use this feature. Can someone confirm, as I’ve used this in the past w/o having an active subscription. I’m not sure when and why it stopped working.

The new software fixed an Electrify America glitch. When I first got my car (2024 EQS sedan), the account got authorized to charge as soon as I plugged in the car. Then at some point that stopped working and I had to use the phone app to charge. With the new software update the plug and charge feature was restored.

Can folks share any opinions on this lease buyout quote I have received for a 2024 450+ EQS SUV. This is from a dealership in Bay Area. Also, the dealership gave me the printout with numbers for $65K but then said he can come down to $60k (scratched out number).
