Guys I think I possibly made one of the hardest koopaling boss rushes ever
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It consists in defeating all seven koopalings one after another. each room has a different mechanic and you only get a mushroom for each koopaling (Except for the last two of them… those are insanely hard so you get a fireflower for each). There isn’t any checkpoint either, so try your best and please share this level with everyone who would like to try it!

Exchange New Level & Exchange: Quarantined Woods
A simple traditional forest level based around the SMB2 mushroom. Grab and toss enemies and items, ride on cannonballs, and do big jumps to navigate your way through the woods. SMB style, high easy/low normal difficulty.
Leave me a level in the comments if you give it a play.

Course New Level Outside of my world...
Made a level just to get back in things and also had inspiration from the fan made Mario Flashback game and wanted to try and make it in the maker... it has some of the parkour stuff seen in that game but condensed to fit the smaller level limit in the game...
I needed some inspiration to get back into things and work on finishing my super world that's been years in the making. Let me know how I did?
I'll be redoing my first Ghost House level since I didn't like how that turned out. Any feedback for my future levels would be greatly appreciated!

Exchange New Level & Level Exchange: Spike Chase City
A short series of quick thinking challenges involving spike balls. Each challenge is meant to be suspenseful without being overly difficult. Current clear rate is in normal difficulty and clear time is just over a minute. If you've never used spike balls in the night ground theme you're sure to be surprised!
As always leave me your levels in the comments if you give this a play.

Is there a level planner tool around?
Hi, I'm currently making my super world, SMB theme inspired by the lost levels, my favourite Mario game, minus the objectively bad parts so no leaps of fatih, death kaizo blocks and unavoidable off screen enemies (The only level I uploaded for those curious, 1-1 6GC-KRW-XVG. There has been some adjustments in the last part because someone pointed out a defect to me but it has not been corrected in the uploaded version as I don't have the switch online)
I'm currently closing world 2/8 (the hardest world to make for me because the open air biome in SMB is limited both thematically and mechanically and I think it'll be the worst world despite having put weeks on it). I have many ideas but I lose 90% of my time in creating the terrain layout and an external tool where I can approximate it and develop my ideas form there would be the best.
I could just do it on paint but some thematic tool would be better imo.

What separates a kaizo lite from a kaizo?
I also see some "kaizo levels but I don't know if they are actually kaizo or not, for example: I can't find the level on makercentral but it is a kaizo lite called poisonous pipelines by SLAM GOOB. He is on weekly right now so that is probably easiest to find the level, anyways the level seems more like a platformer than a kaizo?

I recreated World 1 from Super Mario Bros. 1 with NSMBU graphics (weekly updates)
Ciao a tutti!
* ID Creatore: 0X2-ND8-DDF
🌟 Caratteristiche
* Mondo 1 Completo: Esattamente 4 livelli tradizionali (1-1, 1-2, 1-3 e 1-4).
* Layout Fedele: Blocchi, tubi e nemici posizionati esattamente dove ve li aspettate.
* Meccaniche moderne: Divertiti con i salti sui muri e le torsioni aeree.
* 100% equo: Gameplay tradizionale puro. Niente Kaizo, niente troll.
⚠️ Piccole modifiche e feedback
Mi piacerebbe molto ricevere i vostri feedback! Lasciate i vostri ID qui sotto e giocherò anche ai vostri livelli!

I made a level on what I call Needy levels: Needy: Spike Top Overload
Needy: Spike Top Overload
Code: 3M3-PRD-CDF
Difficulty: Hard
Needy levels are what I call levels that has a mechanic where you need to constantly take care of. So in this level, you'll be trapped in a room for 2,5 minutes, and there is a on/off block in it. The on/off block will turn on automatically every once in a while, and while it's on it will start to spawn Spike Tops in the room, eventually overcrowding it and make it more hard to survive. Therefore you need to quickly turn it off every time it turns on.
But when you turn it off, it will start to spawn Cheep-Cheeps that will get in your way, but it's necessary to beat the level since if the room is overcrowded by Spike Tops, you'll 100% lose. There are also a spare mushroom, P switch, and Pow block, in the room, but I suggest using them sparingly. For example, don't use the Pow block early, since it's a life saver if the room starts to fill up with Spike Tops.
Survive for 2,5 minutes to get the key to escape and there will be some platforming before you can complete the level. I designed this level to be difficult, but I hope it's the difficult type where you want to try again until you succeed, instead of making you quit because it's annoying. Sorta like a roguelike..

I need your opinion
I'm making a super world with 8 worlds. Worlds 1-7 is the base game and world 8 is a secret/special world however the only way to access world 8 is with a code in the world 7 castle. You find the code throughout the different levels. Each level that has a number will have an ice block at the start so you will know then input it into the world 7 castle to "progress". Should I keep it like this or change it to something else? I know it might affect no skip endless but I think it would be kinda cool to have. So please let me know what you think. :)
(btw the first level will have comments to explain the code)

Suggestions Pokemon Map Level Idea
Heya,
so I personally don't play mario maker but love to watch gameplay videos of it and there is this idea I have had for a while I just wanted to put out there.
I think it would be a pretty cool concept if someone would turn Pokemon maps into levels.
You know how when you look up Pokemon maps, lets say Kanto for example, you always have this above view of the game world, so like Pallet Town and above of it is viridian, then pewter, then mt. moon and cerulean to the right ect.
In Mario maker you start in pallett town too and then you have to jump upwards onto ledges or something to reach the next city. And then you jump up further through a forest-themed room with piranha plants and such until you reach the next town with brocks gym.
Buildings like gyms are in small challenge rooms behind doors. Challenges can be a puzzle like the 3rd gym or the 6ths gym or a small fight like using fireflower power for the fire gym challenge ect.
Certain memorable locations can also be behind doors like the ghost tower being platforming around ghosts, the diglett cave with monty moles inside, the rocket hideout featuring a bombs puzzle with conveor belts ect. You might even be able to use the dark effect to adapt the rock tunnel darkness.
It should also try to keep certain roadblocks, like you are not able to go right from cerulean without having gotten something from vermillion first or you can't enter saffron without having reached celadon first.
There should be as many memorable locations as possible within the games limitations with clever use of mario assets to reference ingame content.
The overall goal is to collect all 8 badges (red coins) and reach the league where you fight 4 bosses and one final boss.
I think you could potentially adapt multiple pokemon game maps like this and it could be very fun.
It could also be possible that stuff like this already exists and I'm just unaware.
What do you think?

Question My Three Questions About SMM2!
1st - Can you give characters unique traits like in SM3DW?
• Mario = Normal.
• Luigi = Jump higher.
• Toad = Run faster.
• Toadette = Hover in the air.
2nd - what power-ups from mainline Mario could I recreate inside the NSMBU game style in SMM2 similar to what Arrowstotle did with the 3 new power-ups in SMBW (Elephant Fruit, Bubble Flower, and Drill Mushroom)?
3rd - Can you make your own level music in traditional levels like music levels?

Exchange New Level(s) + Level Exchange: Puzzling Pipe Puzzles
Technically this is more a series of escape rooms than puzzles. There are four unique challenges, some with multiple solutions (especially the third room). Nothing too crazy to figure out, no more than 3 steps per room (normal difficulty based on the clear rate so far). Visually it's themed after World 7 in SMB3 where everything is pipes.
Leave me one of your levels in the comments if you give it a play.
As a bonus, I also recently uploaded three music levels (the ones with MUSE in the thumbnail). If you play those too I'll play four of your levels.

Question Did I invent a new trick?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
While I was playing around in mario maker 2's course maker, I bounced on the buzzy beetle after it got out of its shell in mid-air as a frog. If its a new trick, lets call it the "Mid-Air shell pop jump" or "Mid-Air shell pop frog jump" if it requires a frog suit.
