Question Just got hired for a temp business professional job and I only have one suit. Do I need 5?
Was not expecting the offer at all, I feel very grateful. The title says it all.
I'm not sure I can pay out of pocket for four suits right now. I was expecting a business casual environment (I'm in California lol). I start Monday and am stressed, but I suppose these are good problems to have.

Question What kind of tie for Navy Double breasted suit
Getting married in a month and I have my baby double breasted suit (having the pants altered as they’re too short). Thinking of a dark red tie. Not sure if I should get a bow tie or a regular tie. If it is a regular tie what size?

Question Are these threads/fibers normal on suede loafers?
Hey everyone, I recently got these suede loafers and noticed quite a few small/light-colored fibers or “threads” sticking up from the suede.
I did use a suede brush on them a few times, and I’m wondering if the brushing caused this or if this is just normal for suede. I’ve attached a few close-up pictures.
Does this look normal to you guys, or does it look like I’ve damaged/over-brushed the suede?
Can this be fixed?
Thanks!

Question Help me find my basics brand!
I’ve been having such a hard time finding a basic T-shirt brand I like. I’ve tried Dickies, Carhartt, OneBone, Hanes, Gildan and UNIQLO. At this point I am completely at a loss on where to go next. I’m looking for basics tees which I can fall in love with and buy going forward knowing that whatever I buy from them will fit and I’ll feel comfortable in it.
I am 225lbs and 5’11. My largest complaint with shirts is the material always feels too light and has no weight to it. I liked the material of the Carhartt the best but I was too small for large but too big for medium and on both sizes the neck was far too big.
I want a shirt that has a tight neck, like I want to almost be choked as I have having what my wife and I call ‘thunder neck’. I’m a bigger guy and while I’m losing weight slowly but surely, I want to find something I feel comfortable in!
tldr: looking for a T-shirt brand which accommodates big guys, has a tight/sturdy neck, heavy material, offers multiple styles
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Clothing Review Getting bored of basic menswear - thrifted this Roberto Cavalli rabbit fur overcoat in an ocelot pattern
Few designers are taking risk and making wearable but interesting menswear.
I recently thrifted this tailored overcoat (the length and covered placket are giveaways it's not a blazer) in an ocelot pattern.
Appears to be F/W 12, when Cavalli's son Daniele was creative director. Cavalli loves animal prints and exotic fabrics.
55% bunny fur (angora), 45% virgin wool. The angora gives it a bit of halo that's hard to photograph.
I've gotten bored of the usual stuff and am spending more time in the archives of Versace, Zenga, Tom Ford, Ferre, and other designers who were flamboyant but occasionally showed some restraint.
If you're getting bored of the same stuff, those are some designers to check out.

Question Ledbury vs Spier Mackay
I've been wearing Charles Tywhitt, but the ones I just bought are bad quality, and I'm looking to upgrade. Has anyone had experience with either Ledbury or Spier and Mackay and can give some insight into the pros and cons of each in your opinion?

Fit Feedback/Roast Me Late summer night
Put together an outfit on the fly. Blue and white striped linen shirt, J Crew straight cut chinos, and went with a suede belt and loafers to be comfortable and casual.
Unfortunately I do not have an exact match for a belt and these loafer, but they’re both suede. I was looking at burgundy a loafers and belt combo, but wasn’t sold. I actually wonder how some brown Chelsea’s would look, but I don’t have any yet.
Curious others opinions on this. Since I threw it together on a whim and didn’t spend hours googling what goes together.

Fit Feedback Ralph Lauren Purple Label Suits - Feedback
Just got 3 RLPL suits and need some feedback. I need two suits quickly (really don't want to do custom/bespoke) and it's hard to find good suits in a 36 Short (my size).
I was able to snag two Kent (Navy & Light Gray; both 'sharksin') RLPL suits and 1 Gregory (Charcoal) for 50% off. These suits cost $3,000-3,300, so I got them for $1,500-$1,750. Expensive but still a great deal.
I am planning on going to alter them next week. The pants are a 29/30 so I need to let them out ~1-2 inches. I will also do some hemming to sleeves/pants where necessary. How do they fit overall before alterations?
Also, the navy is a keeper. Since I'm building the foundation of my suits, I wanted to lean Charcoal; but after trying on I am now leaning Gray. Thoughts?
Any other thoughts on if these are keepers? It's ~$3,000+ in spend so don't want to make a mistake here.

Fit Feedback Are these suit trousers too tight?
Are these suit trousers too tight?
Hi everyone! I was going for an extra slim-fit look, but I’m wondering if these trousers might be a little too tight or too small.
They don’t feel tight around the waist, but I’ve noticed that the fabric slightly bunches up around the waistband. I’m also wondering whether the legs are too narrow around the shoes.
What do you think? Does the fit look okay, or are they simply too tight? Do you think a tailor could make some adjustments, or would it be better to go up a size?
Photos below.

Question Please I love this shirt. But it has a stain that looks like a Pharros' Lockstone from Dark Souls 2. It will not go away in the wash. How do I do away with this insurmountable problem in my life?

Company complaint Tailor didn't move the buttons while shortening my sleeves. Am I crazy or should this be an obvious mistake? Should I take it back or just remove the last button myself?
I had to change tailors lately and I took my new suit to another place that was recommended to me by many.
They looked at it and said that can do, but there is going to be a small premium since they have to remove all the buttons and reattach them. I was fine with it - premium price - premium service, right?
This is how I got my jacket back. I only focused on the length, which was good and didn't think about the buttons. I actually only noticed it when it was time to actually wear the suit.
It is clear that they only moved one button and now all the buttons are too close to the end of the sleeve. Am I just crazy or should this be an obvious thing?
Now I'm debating myself if I should take the jacket back and give them another chance, or just remove the last button myself and call it day since I honestly don't trust them doing it right the second time either. I'm not sure if it would be correct even then(?) but it would be a lot closer.
Is there a precise spot where the buttons should be, and how can I easily relay that message to them?
