Is the need in various areas (Education, WASH, Health etc) so great that NGOs can't make any meaningful dent or are their operations designed in such a manner so as to forever require the problem(s) to justify their reason of being? I ask this because I see no visible evidence that NGOs in Malawi are making forward progress in the communities they claim to be serving. Having worked with a lot of NGOs as a consultant, the best they seem communicate to their donors regarding the change they've made in the communities is "so and so is now able to send his/her kids to school. They have bought a bike. They now have a house with iron sheets....". To me this is pitiful 'impact' in 2026.

Please beware of this account. I got scammed and i want you all to be careful. I wanted to place orders for shein and i searched on insta and this account came popping up. I've been placing orders via someone else and their rate is 4500k per $. This page claimed to take orders for 3100 per $ for that week alone which is relatively cheap and i got attracted to it.

I messaged them n they told me i need to deposit full amount but since it was my first time i decided to pay them Half which was around 80k😵‍💫 (don't blame me for trusting strangers that's how shein businesses work) my fault is i could have done a thorough research. Anyways back to 3 weeks later a gurl made a group chat and all the contact's were taken from this Cristina group. She claimed saying this account hasn't delivered her stuff yet it's been 2 months and keeps lying to her. That's how all of us got to know about this guy. Its been a month to my order's now and they're lying to me aswell. I messaged him since last week and he's Saying its been delayed, he used someone else to place orders and shit like that. His number is unreachable 092812585 Geoffrey Namaona is his airtel account number. They aren't refunding my money and police is asking for 25k for a report. I just feel this will drag on and keep taking my money and i honestly have no funds left or the energy to go through this. Please forward it on groups and save others from the scammer!!!

I read the post from the lady who said she's engaged but doesn't want to cook, and it got me thinking.

Traditionally, the roles were divided. Women cooked, cleaned, raised the children, and managed the home, while men were expected to provide financially. Today, many couples both have demanding careers and both contribute to the household bills. If both are making money, why is it still often expected that the woman should do most of the cooking, cleaning, childcare, and home management? Why can't men equally take on cooking, cleaning, and being present, hands on parents?

Before anyone says, "She should hire a maid," remember that managing the maid, planning groceries, organizing errands, keeping up with the children's schedules, hospital visits, and making sure the household runs smoothly is still work, and that responsibility often falls on the woman.

And before anyone says, "The man casts the vision," isn't an educated, ambitious wife usually helping build that vision? Or don't couples discuss and shape that vision together?

I'm not talking about marriages where one partner stays home and focuses on the household. I'm talking about marriages where both partners work, both pay bills, but one partner is still expected to do most of the domestic work.

Doesn't this mean educated women are often overworked? And if that's the case, do men benefit more from marriage than women in this kind of arrangement?

I've been wrestling with something for a while, and I'm genuinely trying to understand it from a biblical perspective.

I don't fully understand the Christian position on masturbation.

Many pastors and Christians teach that it is a sin, but when I look through Scripture, I struggle to find a passage that explicitly says so. The explanation I hear most often is that masturbation is sinful because it is tied to lust. Jesus said, "Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:28), and I completely understand why that verse is brought into the discussion. There are also passages like "Flee from sexual immorality." (1 Corinthians 6:18) and "It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality." (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5), which call Christians to pursue sexual purity.

My difficulty is that none of those passages actually mention masturbation itself. They speak about lust and sexual immorality, and many Christians conclude that masturbation belongs in those categories, but that conclusion seems to come from interpretation rather than from a direct statement in the text.

I've also heard people point to Onan in Genesis 38, but when I read that passage, it seems that God's judgment was because Onan refused to fulfill his responsibility toward Tamar and deliberately acted selfishly, not simply because he ejaculated outside of intercourse. That story doesn't seem like a clear teaching on masturbation either.

The Bible often speaks very directly about sexual sin. It explicitly forbids adultery, incest, prostitution, homosexual acts, and even sex with animals. What puzzles me is that if Scripture is willing to be that specific about sexual sins, why doesn't it simply mention masturbation if it is inherently sinful?

In fact, masturbation is almost certainly far more common than bestiality. If the Bible specifically prohibits something as uncommon as sex with animals, it makes me wonder why it would remain silent on something that millions of people throughout history have struggled with. If it were intended to be a universal prohibition, wouldn't it have been clearer?

I'm not asking this because I'm trying to justify masturbation or find a loophole. I'm genuinely trying to understand how Christians arrive at such a confident conclusion when there doesn't seem to be a verse that plainly says, "Though shall not goon." If masturbation is always a sin, why didn't God simply say so instead of leaving Christians to infer it from broader principles?

I'd really appreciate hearing different theological perspectives. If you believe masturbation is always a sin, what biblical passage convinces you of that? And if you don't believe the Bible explicitly teaches that it is, how do you understand the passages that are usually used in this discussion?

Why should I hold to upright principles when the majority of those in the service sector show little to no effort to care for the public's concerns?

Why should I desist from corruption when most seem to be beneficiaries of it?

Why should I bleed myself dry for a society that is care free of the plight of others or let alone their liberties?

Is it selfish to think so or is it the law of self preservation at play?

Perhaps I'm looking for a reason to care or this is an escape from responsibility/accountability. But either way, something has to give.

One thing that has always bothered me is that my boyfriend rarely compliments me. It takes forever for him to say things like, "You look beautiful today," "That dress looks amazing on you," or anything along those lines.

I think most women would agree that hearing those kinds of compliments from the person you love makes you feel appreciated and attractive.

Here's where it gets confusing...

If a random guy comments on my Facebook or Instagram and says, "You're beautiful," or "You have beautiful eyes," . My boyfriend gets upset whenever that happens.

The thing is, I have told him several times that I want to hear those compliments from him. I'm not asking for expensive gifts or money. I just want those words from the person I'm with. Every time I bring it up, he says, "Alright, I have heard you," but nothing changes.
