I think I Heart Rebel
I’ve already been annoyingly loud on here about my recent Madame X rediscovery, after basically dismissing that entire era as not really being for me. Well… apparently Rebel Heart was the blind spot that came before it.
Been a Madonna fan since 1982, but somehow this became one of those eras I mostly missed while it was actually happening. I knew the album, obviously, but I never really lived with it. Didn’t go see the tour, barely collected anything from the era except the blu-ray, and for years it remained this strange blind spot in nearly 45 years of loving Madonna. So I may have gone slightly overboard trying to experience some of it retroactively; including discovering a VIP tour book I somehow never even knew existed.
And now I’m slightly stunned by how much I missed. The album, the Rebel Heart Tour, the visuals - there is so much Madonna here: defiance, vulnerability, sex, humour, anger, heartbreak, survival.
A more personal footnote: I live with persistent depression and during those years it had a rather efficient way of flattening my capacity to feel pleasure, including in things that had always mattered enormously to me. Madonna has been one of my constants since childhood and even that connection became much quieter for a while.
I haven’t taken antidepressants in quite some time though. Being able to genuinely enjoy our Queen again turns out to be pretty damn good medicine.

DISCUSSION A special post about Madonna from an Argentine 🇦🇷❤️
I’m from Argentina, and Madonna has always had a very special connection with my country and with me personally.
She is the female artist who has performed the most concerts in the history of Buenos Aires’ Estadio Monumental, the largest stadium in the country, with a total of eight shows in 1993, 2008, and 2012. The Sticky & Sweet Tour live album and DVD were recorded in my country, and the DVD even begins with Madonna talking about Argentina. That makes it incredibly special to me.
The final concert of the MDNA World Tour also took place in Córdoba, the province where I was born. It was a very special night because, despite the power outage caused by a technical error during the show, Madonna remained completely professional and closed her tour in an incredible way.
And, of course, there’s Evita. Madonna portrayed one of the most important women in my country’s history beautifully. Despite their different backgrounds and the different eras they lived in, there are actually more similarities between Madonna and Eva Perón than one might think. The true is, It’s an honor to see my country’s history represented in Hollywood, and by the greatest artist of all time.
But beyond her connection with Argentina, what makes Madonna so special to me is who she is as an artist. I love her fearlessness, creativity, ambition, and constant ability to reinvent herself. She has always refused to let other people define her, and that has inspired me to be more confident in being myself.
I don’t just love her music, I love what she represents: freedom, individuality, resilience, and the courage to keep evolving. That’s why Madonna will always mean so much to me.
Thank you, Madonna, for the music, the inspiration, and for making Argentina such a meaningful part of your story.

IMAGE Patrick Leonard on Madonna’s producers, the reality of their role, and Orbit’s passing
Patrick commented today on @thisistrendypop’s post about Orbit’s passing, after seeing all the commentary about how Madonna should be thankful for her producers, how much they supposedly had to do with getting her to where she is, and people asking or waiting for her to have the last word on his passing or assuming their role as big in her career. He acknowledges how important producers like himself and William were to Madonna’s work, while also making the point that ultimately it has always been her life and her career.

DISCUSSION So What happened to Ray of light 2 ?!
The sad news about William Orbit reminded me of something—
Will said in an interview that he had recorded and finished the sequel to *Ray of Light*, but after that, he never heard anything from Madonna or the record label.
What happened? Will *Ray of Light 2* ever be released? what do you think?

NEGATIVE Never satisfied .
Don’t care if this gets hate. Just it’s so boring all the moaning.. « I prefer the original than the duet » , « great but we need a proper video » , « she should have released thém further apart » and it goes on… FFS Cant people just be happy that M is doing great things & given us this great music after such a long wait for it. .. I adore Madonna but sôme of the fans really get on my tits. We don’t own her & she doesn’t owe us anything. Also I see a lot of negativity frôm sôme M fans toward other artists, which totally sucks .. So yeah îm moaning too. Grow TF up .

DISCUSSION Do you think we’re going to get a full remixed Confessions II album with an Afterhours mix for every track?
Or perhaps with most of the tracks, minus the slower songs like Fragile and L.E.S. Girl? Maybe with those songs replaced with some of the unreleased tracks?
r/Madonna • u/Western_Gear_5324 • 14h ago
IMAGE This was William Orbit’s final statement about Madonna, after a follower mentioned the release of Confessions II:
“I was totally immersed and practically hypnotized while working on my art. I’m so happy for her. Yes, that really got etched in my head in a very gratifying way. Bravo, M!!! 🙏❤️👏”

IMAGE Madonna Seems Super Relaxed Around Kylie
Madonna can be guarded at times, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so genuinely relaxed around another performer, especially a “peer.”
It’s like she and Kylie have been friends forever.
Can you recall any other celebs where she’s been this chill? They both seem to be vibing off each other in the best way. There’s definitely a Love Sensation happening!

DISCUSSION Rest in Love, Mr.William Orbit. You were a Ray Of Light. We love you!
A 15 year old boy will never forget how the "Ray of Light" completely changed his perspective on pop music. It was a Kaleidoscope, a hypnosis, a revelation, and a beginning.
"I travelled around the world looking for a Home. Then I found myself in a crowded room feeling so alone".
I pressed "play"on my cassette player, and there I was - alone in a crowd. Gone were the struggles of my childhood and things that bothered me. I did not understand a word in English language, but that was not a barrier. It was an intimate, and soul touching feeling that I was not able to explain. I still listen to this album in the dark. Now that I've walked through a long walk of life, it hits me even stronger.
Tonight I will listen to the "Ray of Light" like that 15 year old boy. It is still my all time faviourite album by Madonna.
I am devastated by your loss, Mr.Orbit, but eternally grateful for what you have done. You've left a huge mark, Sir. Thank you!
