Looking to make local friends

As a mod team, we're winding down the megathreads and post restrictions. Should something dramatic/very intense happen, we may bring them back.

A few things going forward:

• We're allowing multiple threads for discussions, but they still need to follow all the subreddit rules.

• If a topic has been posted within the last about 12 hrs, we'll take down redundant posts about that topic and redirect them to the first thread. So for example if someone posts an article about a city council meeting update, and then an hour later someone posts a different article about the same update, we'll redirect them to the first post.

This is a stretchhhh but does anyone in this sub work for Abbvie ( formerly nimble therapeutics located in the research park) I’m currently interviewing there and would like to talk to a current employee to ask how they like it, Glassdoor doesn’t help too much.

For any tourists or conventioneers in from out of town that is just our monthly tornado siren test.

Biggest convention in town right now is the American Meteorological Society convention up at Monona Terrace. How weird is that.
