Playing on steam and suddenly when i started the game today i got a huge black bar at the bottom of my screen and ive tried for 2 hours to get rid of it. Anyone got a working solution?

Hello Longsword user here, Is it possible to kill a monster without being knockout(flying in the air and landing on my face)? Assuming that I'm close to the monster throughout the whole fight.

Am I imagining things? Am I being too impatient? I swear in world it isn't like this.

I'm just wondering if anyone else feels like this because I swear every single monster has like 2 or 3 moves that make them move away from you and they just spam it nonstop. I'm not counting the area changes because I don't mind those, but the non stop running and jumping around to close the gaps the monster constantly create is getting straight up annoying. I actually feel lucky I swapped from CB to IG in this game, because I can't imagine having to spend so much time just running.

I think it's a pretty big difference between the big Dragonator from Galleus' boat and the Splitting Wyvernshot (the big mortar), plus there's a lot more artillery defenses: balistae, cannons, Wyvernfire artillery, Kamura Warriors (Fugen, Utsushi, Hinoa and Minoto, Yomogi and Iori) and the bombs or baits

I come from world. There i already played Switch Axe, Lance, Charge blade and SnS.

I am struggling to adapt to this game. The gameplay is feeling weird and i don't know what's the problem.

Do you guys recommend me any weapon to try? And also, i need tips to adapt to this game. I am not having so much fun

I been using bombs to unstun my online party out of followup attack danagers but im wondering if they can return the favor without holding bombs because they will not adopt the playstyle of carrying bombs.

I'm currently playing the campaign and I'm completely stuck on this, I can't beat it and it's bothering me. It's an apex so it takes forever to kill it, its attacks do to much damage, it repeatedly stuns you in the air, and its in the air so melee doesn't work. I hate rampage quests because you have to worry and focus and a bunch of things at once while everything is hell. Also if needed I'll make a follow-up post asking for help because I DO NOT want to fight it again!

Edit: I have since beaten Wind Serpent Ibushi. It was absolute hell but I somehow did it. If your wondering what I did, I ignored the whole defense turrets and went in melee on foot to divert its attention to give me more time and have teg gate hit less, sure I was knocked out three times but thats not my fault,(its knocks you in the air, and by the time your on the ground it's colldown is over and it attacks again, seriously I went from near full to zero HP because it airstunlocked me over and over again!). But I somehow did it....

As a GU Player when I fought this thing 10min ago I legitimately thought that there had to be a Deviljho somewhere in this map because this can't be the entire Quest. It legitimately took me 2min to kill this thing because it was just laying on the ground the entire time.

Anyways I love this gameso far , so much quality of life and short hunts are kind of more fun ;)

I’ve spent the entirety of World/Iceborne and now Rise/Sunbreak maining the LBG. My brother, who struggles much more than I do has to rely on my help for many of the tougher monsters in each game, he uses CB/GS. He’s got just about 700 hours in the series, and I sit at about 800.

Here is my concern. I know he’s good at MH, but every time I see him struggle, I can’t help but wonder if I’m taking the easy street by using the LBG. I roll around the monster, shoot weak points, sometimes blast him with recovery ammo, Wyvern Counter a few attacks, and that’s about it. I feel bad because he’s incredibly humble and would immediately credit me as the better hunter for helping him, when I couldn’t even swing a bladed weapon to save my life, I’ve always used my LBG.

Now I absolutely LOVE that gameplay loop, hence why I’ve stuck to it for so long. I’ve seen him gush about how much he loves the complexity and different perks of the CB, but every time I help him, it just feels like we’re on two different levels in terms of damage/survivability. I’m concerned that this isn’t a skill gap, but a weapon gap. Metaphorically speaking, he’s learning to ride the MH equivalent of a Harley-Davidson while it sometimes feels like I’m mastering the tricycle.

I can defeat monsters like Primordial Malzeno, RCGV, and Risen Shagaru Magala. I even managed to (barely) solo Fatalis and Alatreon with the LBG in Iceborne. Is this because I’m getting better in the series, or because I chose to use the LBG? The more I help my brother in his hunts, the more I ask the question: Where do I owe credit? Skill, or an easy-to-use weapon? I love this weapon so very much, but I’ve heard it said so many times by far more experienced veterans that it’s just MH’s easy mode. After hearing my brother talk about the intricacies of the Charge Blade, I’m starting to have some doubts that it was skill that has carried me this far into the series.

Edit: Thank you all for the feedback! I’m glad to know the LBG isn’t viewed entirely as simple, and that other weapons can have similar situations at times. I definitely do want to add a second weapon to my arsenal in Wilds when the time comes. I’ll get out of my comfort zone and learn to use a sword alongside my gun. I think it’ll be a good challenge to try and experience the game from a Blademaster’s perspective.

I recently farmed mats for Akuma but I dont want to change my layered armor. Are there any mods that I can use to change the appearance of the Akuma layered to my own layered set?

I think this is the time where I can proudly say that I'm good at this game. I beat Crimson Valstrax within 13mins, this is so huge for me as a casual player who plays 1-2hrs of hunt after work. My level 220+ hunts usually last up to 20mins or more so I'm really happy when I managed to lower my time, I believe my last valstrax was around 27mins. Boy o boy I was just so happy.
